  • Learn 8 new uppercut boxing combos with Tony Jeffries an olympic boxer. The uppercut is one of the best punches in boxing. Whether you are doing boxing for fitness or fighting doesn’t matter. Any serious boxer can’t afford not to learn the uppercut. In this video, I am going to share you with you 8 different boxing combinations that involve the uppercut.
Here are my 8 uppercut boxing combinations:
#1 Uppercut with Hook to the body
You do this by throwing an uppercut, getting your opponent to raise his hands then throw a hook to the body.
#2 Jab, right hook, uppercut then a straight right punch.
You do this by throwing a jab, making your opponent raise their hands. You then throw a right hook that gets your opponent to open his hands. From here you throw the left uppercut and then a straight right punch.
#3 lead hook, right uppercut then lead hook
You do this by throwing a lead hook. As your opponent tries to defend it by opening their hands, you throw a right uppercut. As the hands move back inside to defend you land another lead hook.
#4 uppercut, hook, step back then straight two
You do this by first throwing the uppercut. As your opponent moves hands inside to defend it, you step back and hit him with straight punches on each side.
    #5 Uppercut, uppercut, hook, hook
With this one, you throw two fast uppercuts to get your opponents hands in the middle than throw a hook on each side.
#6 jab, slip, step left, uppercut and then straight punch
You do this by throwing a jab, slip as he charges on with a right hand, step left and hit him with the uppercut. From here you can lend a straight punch as well.
#7 jab, step right, lead uppercut and then a lead hook.
As your opponent tries to counter your jab with his jab, you step right, slip and land an uppercut. From there, you can land another lead hook.
#8 uppercut, hook to the head, hook to the body
You do this by throwing an uppercut. As your opponent moves his hands to defend, you land a hook to the head. Hands move up, and then you throw a hook to the body.

The uppercut is the coolest punch imo. It also seems to be the punch that boxers develop more than other striking styles.

    • @someboi4903

Lead uppercut is with the lead/front (usually non-dominant) hand. Same applies for the lead hook.
