UPDATE Jul 2022: Ended up getting caught in some rain while biking (no back fender) and the dirty mud water was kicking up my back & bag. My white tee needed a deep clean from the mud but happy to report the bag was water resistant enough for the watery dirt to come right off! Bag is fine. I on the other hand, need a shower. Or does that count as a shower?

Awesome video - love this bag! I shop exactly the same way as you, and eventually settled on this and The North Face Borealis Mini (10L) for only carrying a few bits. Can't wait to see more bag videos!

Mystery Ranch Urban Assault 24 is my current edc. Bellroy is nice.
I got the same backpack recently for the rare occasion that I might have to go to the office.

I have a Transit workpack and a transit backpack from Bellroy. The shoulder strap will loosen, and backpack gets lower and lower even as i walk and move my shoulder... I wasn't carrying a heavy load and just 15inch laptop, afew textbooks, a 500ml water bottle and some small accessories, weight total of less than 4kg. Bellroy's shoulder straps have been a problem since I bought both my backpacks from them in October 2021. It's a major design and materials flaws and frustrating when using their bag on a daily basis. I hope viewers make sure that problem is fixed before buying. Anyway, as of December 2022, Bellroy offers no solution to that.
I was monitoring this myself because I feel it is slipping and I've heard others mention that, but I feel the lumbar supports fits in the crevice of my back and so far it just kind of stayed, so even though that's not really where I would position the bag I've just left it as is since that's where it wants to sit, and then I forgot about it so maybe that's where it "should" fit - hopefully they fix this, write the company! the more people complain about it, the more likely they'll look into it

Wow dude, you've literally posted this exact comment on every bellroy backpack video on UA-cam. I praise you for your dedication to get Bellroy to right this wrong! I'm just shocked you've scattered it to literally almost every UA-cam video involving Bellroy backpacks. I feel you though. They're expensive!
I use strap keepers to roll up the extra strap length so there isn't much room to slip 🤷♂️
Now if someone could help with the ventilation in the back panel, please any suggestions would be helpful.
@@GadgetsGearCoffeeI emailed Bellroy about this 12 months ago and they sent me some webbing keepers for free after acknowledging the “known issue”. This was in Australia, so I’m hoping it’s rolled out worldwide by now :)
Excellent video! I saw that you used a fjallraven raven 20L before, why didn't you go for an updated 28L now? Were you just tired of ravens or was there something special?
I didn't want something bigger, I wanted something different. The Fjallraven was a purchase buy while on a trip and the Bellroy was a bag I wanted and did research for, wanting a laptop bag and EDC and everything else I mentioned in this video

Bit of silly question but you said there's a second key loop inside the front pocket. I got mine today and I can't really find it so ether the remove it on newer version of that bag or I'm missing something
Towards the bottom of the front pocket there is a loop, it's not quite a key loop like the side pocket but you could hook things onto it

How has the fabric held up to dirt and what not? Really considering pulling the trigger
So far so good! Lighter colors will obviously show more but a little sponge with soap it comes right off so far. Had a bunch of mud once on the bag (see description) and it didn't stick!

How is your bellroy transit holding up after one year? Would you consider the new AER bags over this one now that you've had it for some time?

@@Nimargb I did consider the AER packs when buying, a better water bottle holder would have been nice but ultimately I like the way the laptop compartment is set up on the Bellroy bag and the accessory pack. I would have probably been very happy with the tech pack or day pack from AER though. I think aer doesn't ship to Canada or it comes at a cost so I opted for Bellroy and wanted something different than black for once. Also, Bellroy clamshell opening is amazing, I'm not going back to a non clamshell. Aer doesn't have this on those two packs. Hi! I’m considering this color.. is it a dirt magnet? Have you had to clean it?
Nope it's been great so far. There are some advantages though. I took it out to the desert and the dust doesn't show as much. I got mud all over it on a bike ride in the rain and a wet rag with some soap got it right off instantly. I follow their cleaning recommendations (ie spot clean only). Any updates on using it as personal items on flights? And do you prefer this over Aer City Pro?
I've used the Bellroy on several flights now as a personal item without issue. The Bellroy doesn't have a luggage passhthrough but I had this from my bike and it worked PERFECTLY as a luggage passhtrough sticking it on the luggage handles and then securing it around the bag amzn.to/3OXAsng
I don't have the AER city pro, also a super capable backpack with some similar features, it has some more things too like the compression strap, built in luggage pass through (which is nice but in reality I'm not a plane every week either) and the external water bottle holder, I do notice though that the quick access pocket eats up a lot of interior space from the main compartment, something the Bellroy doesn't quite do due to the design

that would depend on the size of your lunch. Just a sandwich in a small pouch of some kind? A small water bottle, laptop and a small notebook? Metro. If you need more though, the bellroy transit. I was in a movement festival all week and biking to and from with various weather, I used both my bags depending on loadout but ended up sticking with the Bellroy Transit most of the time since I have more options to go grocery shopping after.
