It's important to note for anyone taking these meds (because providers don't tend to tell you this) to know that the therapeutic dose is higher than the ones they start you on. SOME people get results before the therapeutic dose and others don't lose anything until they get to a higher dose. It doesn't mean it's not working, it just needs to build up in your body. Gotta just put the idea of fast and instant out of your minds imo!
Yes, and also work on her eating habits, eating more protein and fiber will help her a lot, eating less does not mean anything if you regularly eat out or take out, those kinds of foods tend to have a lot more calories than people think
And drink water! Lots of water, these medications slow digestion and can cause patients to experience constipation.
Yep I learned this also. I had to get a higher dose now I’m seeing more results
Is the therapeutic dose .50?
@@ravyn2708 May I ask what dose you're on? I'm on my 3rd week of Ozempic. 25 currently..
Fei, take this advice from someone was obese for over 30 years and no diet worked before.
Make your protein the main component of your food. I’ve noticed that your food is very high in carbs. You’re avoiding any added sugars, but you should know that ALL carbs become sugar in your body. If you want results, you need to cut back on carbs as much as you can.
Good luck girl! 👍🏻
I just learned from a dietician I began seeing that carbs turn into sugar. I swear it's been so confusing trying to get this "nutrition" thing down. I feel like learning a foreign language would be easier.
I grew up in a home with a mental ill mother and a dad who wasn't present, so my brother and I learned to fend for ourselves. I became reliant on canned & frozen foods that were easy to make. It's been a b**** trying to adjust and train my brain to think about things I never had to. Being a picky eater, who's not great at finding protein I like as far as meat goes house been tough.
@@JustJ-Me yes I know!. It’ll take you some time to adjust your food preferences to the new diet you need to be on. But it’s not that hard. Your previous struggles must have made you creative and strong. All you need now is to see recipes without carbs and try what seems to suits your palate. Like there are so many recipes for making bread out of cheese and eggs, egg whites, protein powder even chicken breast. All these are proteins you can add to your diet just by turning them into a carb free bread.
People have figured out how to go on keto and been so creative with creating carb free recipes. Just search for keto recipes or carb free recipes and you’ll be amazed by what you’ll find.
Good luck! ☺️👍🏻
Definitely agree , from all her videos I watched its really high carb intake. If you introduce more protein less carbs with some vegetables . It will definitely help . She got this 💙💙
💯
For anyone who struggles with boredom munchies, I suggest two things: replace the snacks at home with crunchy vegetables and fruits and make tea from scratch to make your hands and mouth busy
I agree with this it really helps
I know people are scared to make suggestions because we only see a fraction of your day but from what I’ve seen you’re not eating to combat your insulin resistance. I suggest upping your fiber and protein intake. Cut the carbs and fried foods. Eating rice AND potatoes in the same meal is a bit much. Get a glycemic index chart from Amazon and stick it on your wall. A lot of things you eat are high on that chart. For instance, watermelon has a high glycemic index. My suggestion is to only eat berries such as, blueberries for right now til you get your glucose under control. There’s so much more that goes into battling insulin resistance but I’m mindful that I don’t know you so I don’t want to bombard you with tips. Hope this helps and good luck!
Thank you for providing this information! Please don't be afraid to give tips like this because it helps people like myself who are in the same boat
Its odd, but I’ve been watching Fei since I was a teenager and we both went on weight loss journeys at the same time, so it never felt like I was alone (lol that parasocial relationship ammiright), we lost a lot, then gained the weight and more… and now, although I’m not doing this through Ozempic, I’m fasting and doing OMAD and this series is comfort. I’ve lost 12kgs in 7 weeks, which is insane for me! I went from 2 hours of gym daily, to losing this much through walking, OMAD, and still able to enjoy a donut, cookie, and pasta every now and then. My relationship with counting calories and the scale has improved tremendously! That being said, there are hard times… and to anyone on the same journey, it’s a marathon, not a sprint. We got this :)
May i ask what’s OMAD?
@@pearl.6711”OMAD” is “One Meal A Day”
@@pearl.6711One Meal A Day
@pearl.6711 I googled it and OMAD means ´one meal a day’ it’s a type of diet.
Its better to eat in a calorie deficit than eating once a day, this could have effect on your blood pressure, cholesterol and may spike your blood sugar. Most of the time it will make you even hungrier, so I congratulate you on your weight loss, but it is not really healthy nor is it sustainable. Plus a lot of people that do this, don’t even lose weight that much. Because you’re hungry most of the time, so your body will process the food more as fat when you have the days you eat a bit more than usual, since your body needs it since you eat too little. So please don’t recommend this to others, it’s actually not that good for you!
I went from obese to healthy , I didn't do any exercise or diet , I just learned about every calorie I put in my body for a month (was planning to forever originally) without changing anything , after that I just threw all the high caloric dense food for me it was milkshakes, and constant snacking , I just stopped this slowly and managed to lose 20 kilos , is crazy how much high calorie nutritionally empty foods there is right now . best of luck
Eat food that is nutrient dense and high in fiber and avoid calorie dense foods.
Fei, please continue to vlog about anything you do. You are a nice person and so interesting!
Your mood seems to be exceptionally high in this video. I love seeing you happy, since I live too far to hug you on your challenging days 🥰
Fei you’ve been my comfort channel for 5 years now! ILY GIRL
I love this diaries and how vulnerable you are and I feel so relatable to all of your videos & vlogs .
Sending you so much love & hugs and always rooting for you , Fei 🩶🩶
Despite the title of this Video I hope you don’t feel too discouraged Fei Your literally Working so hard and doing so well I’m so proud of you just living your life!!! Your videos are so healing to watch You can do it Your mind is already there now your body will follow I can’t wait for you to see the results you want!! Fei Fighting!! 💖🫶
I think it’s wonderful to celebrate all of the mother figures you have!
I just found your channel a few days ago and love your personality, and you're also very funny! You are very relatable as well :) I showed your channel to my mom and she enjoyed watching too ❤
Ive been on Mounjaro and ozempic before the key is watching exactly what you eat. Also This medication isn't a miracle drug people make it seem it takes couple of months for the medication to work, Some people see results on the lower dosage right away, some people don't see any results untill the high dose. Also carbohydrates arent recommend on this medication it is recommended to do low carb
Girl I haven’t seen you in so long 😭 and you’re still on your weight loss journey, good for you!
you still need to eat in a deficit to lose weight, if you're eating high calorie foods you are really not helping yourself
You can lose weight alone by eating deficiently, I don’t understand the purpose of the meditation if you still have to lose the weight normally
@@marspIease I agree. A waste of money and resources imo
rooting for you on this journey fei! :)
I am rooting for you. As many of these comments have said, I recommend a higher protein diet and trying to eat more whole foods, a bit less processed. Start making just one meal a day at home and slowly you'll get there
I know exactly what you mean with those K-pop days and the different vibe of the culture then. I still care about them but it’s such a different vibe when I check in on them now and I feel bad about the lack of energy I have for the K-pop grind now -,-
Keep going Fei, I love your videos and your energy of course ❤
Girl! 😂 I make that curry the exact same way, same ingredients, no measurements just eyeball. Been doing it that way for the past 13 years ever since I discovered it back in college.
LOL exactlyyyy 💅🏼 twinssss
I went on a social media detox and only kept UA-cam since I enjoy longer vlogs and podcasts. I’m enjoying watching your realistic meals/snacks while on wegovy. Still eating what you want but minimizing the portion and eventually swapping for a healthier option. Not perfect but getting better.
Omigosh you are one of the kindest people ever i hope everything works out for you 🎉
please if you’re not already, focus on your water intake as well! i went from 250 to 135 (almost 5 year span bc i did it very very slowly) and i’ve overcome yo-yo’s, plateaus, etc. in my experience, you need to focus on MANY aspects of your life when losing fat. your sleep, your water, your calorie intake, etc. yes counting can lead to unhealthy behaviors if you ruminate on it BUT getting an overall better expectation of what i should be eating in a day to lose weight/maintain or gain weight is what lead to me being able to stop counting and now i have an overall idea of how much i should be eating in a day (i’m autistic, i eat the same things basically everyday. i also have IBS (cannot digest alot of foods) so i follow a very strict low fodmap “diet” and have been following it for years now. yes i do eat foods i shouldn’t every so often and i’ll be in pain and bloat afterwards but i guess it was more for my happiness instead of health LOL
all i’m ranting about it, there are so many aspects to this big journey and unfortunately medication can only force your body in a general direction instead of upholding a long-term goal mentality!
You're SO CUTE and you look so beautiful! your vlogs make me feel happy ❤ I wish you good luck with your weight loss jorney, you deserve to feel good about yourself ❤❤❤
Try changing the injection site. Sometimes that could be a factor in slowed down progress. Thigh or back of arms next. Then back to your stomach once those areas have you plateau.
I've been binge watching all your videos today and slowly overthinking my own decisions and stuff I did for myself to loose weight. In Corona times I lost 17kg and got it back (+even more weight than I should have) after starting university and some other happenings until now - since then I let myself go soooo much, that I keep hiding at home instead of going out and enjoying life.
Your bubbly personality and the videos you put out in the world make my mind shift and motivate me a little bit to start over my weight loss journey that I had in corona times :I
@naydenem That chicken sandwich looked 🔥 I have watched you for years. I've seen your ups and downs. Stay positive You've got this ❤️
The queens update ❤️❤️❤️❤️
It’s been 6,5 weeks for me, so far lost 7kg. Keep going, Fei ❤
@💕
Love these videos, I have PCOS and have also been going through my own health/weight loss journey and you’re definitely a comfort watch 💕
Can we take a moment to clap for queen FEI 🎉 so happy to see you in such a healthy and wholesome relationship ❤
Hope you take a moment to feel blessed ❤
I’m cry 😭🥹
you just need to go out and work a 9to5 so your not home all the time revolving your time around food and having such easy access to it
Girl I love your videos!! And yeah, olive oil is kinda expensive but so much healthier and good!!
As a petite I started following April Whitney. Her program and youtube channel is for petite bods! Lean Protein should be a priority. Carbs are not bad but it's how much of it is being eaten and what type of carb. I dont see how you eat in other days or weeks, but from this its a lot of high carbs.Weight lifting is more important too. You need muscle to burn fat you want to lose.
your "nyap" is literally so cute and pure OMG
🥺🥹 Yer getting married soon. Congrats! So cute and sweet!
There's always an adjustment phase. Things will eventually start moving smoothly. Don't give up ! :)
@berthavelia i’ve been following your weight loss journey, im over weight and prediabetic but i also have hashimoto’s so it’s very difficult to lose weight. i’m anticipating to be on a similar journey as you, it might not be my first choice but if it gives me a chance at being at a healthy weight, im open to it. watching this series also is comforting.
i had thyroid cancer after they took out both my thyroids i found out i had undiagnosed hashimotos for years!!!!
Sameeeeee!! It’s so hard to lose weight :( it’s so discouraging that everyone around you just tell you to “workout” or “starve” but it’s not that simple 😭😭😭….
I've had hypothyroidism for many years and haven't noticed any difference (other than my levels are in the "normal" range). I've questioned having Hashimotos or something going on...
@queenmameshiba thank you for posting these and giving me bravery to start my weight loss journey as well. My primary care might be choosing semiglutide or qsymia and I’m nervous but your videos are something I look forward to. It’s like someone going on this journey with me.
Do you have feeders in your yard for wildlife? The wee robin might just be hoping you would be kind enough to provide a snack 😊 did you know that some people think that when a robin visits you it’s a sign from someone that’s passed away that was close to you ❤
give it time! it took me 1-2 months before i felt like it was really really working for me. also i was told to inject the medication slowly and switch which side of your stomach everytime. Sorry you’re having bad side effects, that’s gotta be hard! i’m down 35 lbs since december and bmi at 21. results will come if you stick through the process
edit: also i found spicy food makes me nauseous/sick now!
i love when you put subtitles bc i dont speak english and i try to learn with your video🤍 i hope you feel good for the next weeks and the symptoms hopefully disappear, enjoy your process honey🤍
It took 8-10 months and a drastic reduction in calories for me to see results. Everyone is different. My sugar levels are perfection T2.
@happydanceparty
Fei I love you AND your weightloss journey ❤ you keep making strides, girlie!! 💪🥳
(im a dietitian) patients who are on semaglutide usually pivot our counseling sessions from talking about how to eat less to lose weight to how to eat more while on the semaglutide because they have no appetite and cant meet their nutrient requirements. it’s such an interesting shift. hope your symptoms improve!
I'm working with a dietician and have only had 2 sessions so far since starting Ozempic. Trying to learn everything has been very overwhelming, to the point I've been in tears bc I want to get this "right". I came from a home where my brother and I had to learn to fend for ourselves by eating canned food, frozen food, nothing really fresh or balanced. I'm also a picky eater when it comes to meat or fish/seafood, but love most veggies. I honestly hate cooking/preparing food and live alone. I told my dietician it seems easier to learn a foreign language than to try to remember that carbs also turn into sugar, what #'s of what are "okay", and there's so many different but similarly named things to watch for... 😵💫
@@JustJ-Me You can work with your dietitian to find a meal pattern that works for your lifestyle and your food preferences. Since you've only had 2 sessions, there's definitely a learning curve. Luckily, there are a ton of ways to "do it right" when it comes to food. It's not just one rigid method that suits everyone. Just be aware that you're seeking a lifestyle change for lasting health benefits, which can take months if not years to troubleshoot & solidify, so be patient with yourself & move at a pace you're comfortable with. And since you're on multiple meds, I also suggest you make sure to work with your doctor & dietitian (keep them both updated) to identify which meds are causing which symptoms & how to work around them or change your dosage. Especially look out for side effects that can affect your appetite, digestion, water retention, and energy level. You can monitor yourself by keeping a simple tracker or journal.
Good luck, you got this!
You know what has surprisingly low calories and tastes great with chicken breast? Instant gravy, like the kind that comes as a packet of powder and you just mix it with water and boil it for a couple minutes. The brand I like is "French's"
Ground chicken or ground turkey is so yummy for a spaghetti and meat sauce or even making meat balls if you still want that
Omg yessss
I literally keep watching the old vlogs waiting for the new one 😭
@chibizzles I'm on Mounjaro and it's been working wonders for the constant food noise. With Mounjaro and just being mindful of what I eat, I've lost 20lbs in a couple months even though I was really only expecting to lose maybe a pound a week. Good luck, Fei!
Kpop is not the same, agreed, I listened to CSHJ The Grace again after so long the other day and omgosh, I didn't realize how nostalgic I was for the old days until I heard My Everything again. 😭 I just follow a few groups now that still sound like what I like. It's not that the newbies are "bad", it's just not my feel anymore.
Medication or not out of everything you've tried I noticed you got the best results doing the Chloe ting challenge.
Aaah let me be that annoying person for a second. :D I am not professional but as long as you dont get your sugar spikes in check you aint going to reach any goals. And your hormones are not getting in a control that way either. Cut the carbs (all of them), try IF, add some low intense workouts or walking. YOU CAN DO IT! You do not need to struggle so muuuch with weight loss.
@poyopear I’ve ordered from your shop twice now and each time it just felt so personable 🥰 I loved it
Truly a comfort channel that reminds me of good days. We’re all here too support you on this journey! Hoping the transition of living without your sister goes well cus I know how much I’d miss mines 😭
I love the Avocado Oil from choosen foods
@desarucosplay
I’ve been watching your videos for quite a few years now and love and how you don’t stick to just one genre of videos to post. Whether it be vlogs, clothing videos, weight loss journey etc. I also love how open you are about your weight loss journey because not many are, and I hope you achieve your goals :) I just enjoy watching your videos when they come out, and thank you for continuing to post for us 💓

@annavis02
I've been watching you for almost 10 years. It's crazy to see how far you've come and how much you have changed! So proud of you Fei 😊
@miss.fired Honestly I've loved these vlogs. I've seen your struggles with weight and body image and how much you fight to be positive no matter what the journey gives you. Thank you for being vulnerable with us.
So true about the kpop thing!!
I’m making that sourdough chicken sandwich! Thanks for the idea😂
Chicken Ceasars salad, chicken kabobs and rice with tzatziki sauce and cucumber.

@adriananonaliza
I really love watching your videos!!! It is something I look forward to watching all the time. As someone who also wants to be healthy, in mind and in body, I am rooting for you all the way. I have watched you for many years, from your kpop days to now. You have truly grown. Thank you for being true, raw, and honest with your body and showing your journey. The good and the not so good. Your courage is very inspiring. As you navigate this thing called life, I believe you have the power to do even great things. Keep going. Don't give up. You got this. Sending BIG HUGS your way!!!
hi loved your video! what is the song in the very beginning of the vid? It has a very soft and lovely vibe :)
Not the curry packet having seed oils anyway
Your intro song is 'Perayaan Mati Rasa' by Umay Shahab and Natania Karin. They are Indonesian artists. The song about the heart break and eventual numbness that you feel when the love of your life leaves. "I still feel you in my embrace" is one of of the line
ua-cam.com/video/35XNPXS3QYs/v-deo.html
Omgg thank you so much for sharing this! I’ve been searching for that song for so long😭🫶🏼
@reenioo
love how you keep things fresh and real
cheering you on all the way 💪🏼💕
Lol OMG I’ve come across your brother fb page he is sooo damn sweet to your nyab! ❤
I dont think its right to say that any oil is good or bad for you, it heavily depends on your task.
Cooking with olive oil and high temperatures can be dangerous and actually unhealthy for example, cuz it burns easier. Different oils do different things, and saying one oil is good for you while others arent is also a dangerous part of diet culture. Always consult a specialist if u can. I can also recommend Abbey Sharpe on youtube for general education on this since shes a Registered Dietitian and i learned so much from her where i now think "how did i not learn this in school, and im from germany..."
This is not meant to nitpick but i am just worried about people (deep-) frying things with olive oil, which can be really really bad for you
Chicken breasts can be delicious and healthy. Use jar Alfredo sauce with the chicken and broccoli, no pasta, or do chicken fajita bowls no rice. I’m excited for your journey!
I am generally curious so I have to ask: I had gastritis and I became prone to it throughout my university life (actually some people in my major have it). The symptoms are pretty similar to those on Ozempic (because it's not acute, so no vomiting). Me and my other friends who had it(from my friend group alone three people got it) have lost weight throughout it. You lose weight because you lose your appetite, get nauseous, experience pain after eating, etc. But when it gets better most people naturally gain the weight back... So doesn't that mean you pretty much have to take these medications for a very long time (maybe even years) to completely change your lifestyle and get a routine and isn't the risk extremely high to gain the weight back after you don't take it anymore?
Ya'know what's interesting? I had really excrutiating, puking my guts up pain from ischemic colitis (had to go to the hospital bc blood was coming out both ends- FUN!) and later gastritis. I became so afraid of eating anything bc of the pain that would almost immediately follow. I was genuinely afraid I'd develop an eating disorder. I had lost a ton of weight in a short amount of time (which was great bc psych meds made me gain a massive amount of weight), but at the same time I couldn't celebrate bc I knew it was because I was so sick and unhealthy. I still wanted to lose another 10 lbs in order to get back to my old, average weight. As I began to get better & felt good enough to eat normally but nothing wild, I did actually begin to gain weight back like crazy- even worse than before. I also badly broke & dislocated my ankle, which didn't help.
I was started on Ozempic and the first time I ate pasta (something I haven't eaten in a long time, but was treated to) a day after my first injection, I got the most intense pains that reminded me of the ischemic colitis days. Thankfully, it just makes me feel "gross" and like a cramping pain that I can't quite describe. I just took my 3rd week injection. By week 2, food began tasting awful, which I can't decide is a good or bad thing. I've experienced kind of a similar effect when I was on Topamax. I don't really feel hungry, but with this I can't decide if it's bc nothing sounds or tastes good, it's "yucky" feeling I have, or something else. 🤔
I found your comment interesting, though. I would hope that with my efforts to work on better understanding food nutrition, calorie deficits, and other ish I never really considered, that it'll help implement a more natural overall lifestyle change and make it easier to be more mobile and get back to being the very active person I used to be. It's given me hope and helped me find motivation that I've been struggling to find thanks to my essentially lifelong depression.
I think you do have a good point, though.
I know how hard it is to loose weight. I started my weight loss journey last year and since than i managed to loose 24kg. I love your videos you have been a big influence on me, mainly in the way i think about myself, thanks to you i learn that i am just right the way i am.
THANK YOU FEI❤
Happy late mothers day ❤
@oddlyangela love you few, please don’t stop being yourself and done ever hide who you are ❤❤❤❤❤
You vs the bird sent me😂😂😂😂
Hey Fei💖 do you ship to Poland by any chance ?
where are the pajamas from or lounge wear you're wearing they look so comfy =o
Me at 2nd gen felt but you know there are some 5th gen groups that are actually pretty good does zb1 count LoL how about xikers?
I gotta check out that pho place. I'd love to know your top places in MI to eat. I'm in Detroit. 😊
Use a different body area each time you give yourself a shot it can help reduce your risk of skin irritation or infection and help you avoid scar tissue buildup Scar tissue can prevent the medication from absorbing into your body effectively
hope you read this ❤
Good to know. I swapped sides of my stomach each time, but had no clue about scar tissue or infection/ irritation.
Hey hey! I saw that smelling lemon or loke lemon juice helps to feel less nauseous. Check it out!
@flobreezyy
good luck on your journey and thank you for being brave and allowing us to be on this journey with you!
@cindknits watching your videos make me feel so at peace and happyyy ❤
The buffet comment brought me back to my childhood 😂
@cokolaaaa girl I’ve been watching since your Kpop days!!! I miss the 2nd generation groups 😭😭😭
@waterfall2beautiful
I've been enjoying your weight loss journeys through the ups and downs. It's nice to see someone who is what I would Smedium/Marge in size. I'm working on losing weight as well, not a lot to start out, but 20lbs to start. Good luck in all your endeavors!!
I've been on semaglutide since last July and I'm down 92 lbs. To avoid the pain you feel when you've eaten a little too much, you'll need to slow down, take smaller bites, and chew until that food is liquefied. It really helps you pickup on the fullness signal before take the bite that sends you into pain. Solid proteins are the hardest to get down, so chewing like crazy is key. Also, listen to your body before you titrate up to avoid really bad nausea at higher doses. They say you can titrate up to the next dose monthly, but you may not need to. I stayed at 1.0 mg for like three months and lost very well before moving up. I just started the 2.4 mg pen a month ago. Don't compare journeys, just remain present in yours, and enjoy life. The weight will come off, so don't stress.😊
I gained 60lbs in just 3 years and I just started taking my weight loss journey serious the beginning of spring and I am so glad I’m keeping the shots as a last resort because these side effects you guys are commenting about are scaring me 😭
@slimplymarriah
Been watching you for years. I love your bubbly personality and so happy to follow along your small business journey also. I hope you’re doing well even with all the ups and downs. Thank you for being vulnerable with all of us. Rooting for you ❤
