Reminder to fei and everyone else that there's of course nothing wrong with "looking wider"! It's also totally fine to adjust clothes in a way that makes you more confident, just remember that a lot of what our society tells us is "flattering" changes like trends, so treat it like that- make adjustments if you like it, but don't feel like you have to stick inside that box either! I find the stripes rule to be absolutely insane, I've never seen anyone look bad in a cute striped shirt no matter what lol
Girl, I live in Korea and I can't accept slander against Jstyle. Until more recently they were the only local brand that consistently markets with plus size girls, and doesn't just make matronly pieces. You keep saying "Korean size L" or "Korean size XL" but like, no. The sizes don't just translate. You have to go by your measurements, duh. You keep buying the smallest available sizes to make the brand look bad when they do have more sizes that would fit you. That's so shady. The models from the brand that you show in the video are all wearing larger sizes than what you purchased. It's super easy to see if you just scroll down and look at the extensive info section on their app.
I legit saw in youtube vlogs,korean have plus size department up to 7/8 XL... and all she review was on the smaller size..
She always does that ... instead of buying her size she needs she hides it behind comparing american m to what m would be in a different country... not to forget that when she has something on which glatters her she always says its not good ...
she’s worked with Jstyle. She has actively went to korea and has modeled with them in 2019. your average person does not their measurements, they just compare the sizes. she’s also short with large breast and an apple shape which is comparatively harder to shop for
@@novat4925 oh did she really? i was also considered for the foreign model contest Jstyle conducted in 2019. I did a shoot with Gyogyo and met with all the staff, but my visa type was an issue. I just don't get why she insists on going by size instead of by measurements, it's like a cardinal rule of online shopping. It just seems super disingenuous

I feel like a big part of finding flattering clothes is understanding what goes well with your body and what doesn't. there are so many clothing items that I absolutely adore and would love to wear, but it's not like they're gonna fit any better the more I try. some clothes just aren't for me and that's okay.

I think you should start your own clothing line for your body type. It would be so awesome for you and for others that share the same struggles. You have an awesome sense of style and you already know trendy clothes especially from other country’s do not cater to wide range of sizes or types. You would kill it and you wouldn’t have to keep doing this. Love your content love that you are starting to love and take care of yourself mentally and physically. Success to you on your journey!!! 🖤

I love fei and I love the content and I buy a lot of k and j style. I just really don’t think she’s an American medium I would guess xl or xxl. That’s not to say she’s not beautiful, because she’s gorgeous

clothing sizes also include height. im 5’3 or 5’4 and a xl-xxl
She’s really short so her size is comparably smaller even though she looks large it’s just proportionally larger for her height. Medium makes sense imo

hey fei, ive been aware of your content for years now and i have noticed that you buy a lot of clothes (upwards of $500 to $1000) to make content. a lot of the clothes you buy seem to be too small or not fit in the way you anticipated, and i wanted to know what you do with the mass amount of clothing you accumulate?
Apparently 60kg + is overweight in S.Korea. Regardless of height 😅
She’s legit 5 ft so yes if you are like 65-70kg at less than 150 cm or around 150 cm you are overweight

Also I would be interested in fei trying to style regular local brands of clothes like kpop outfits! I think the cuts of certain items might trend differently, but a lot of kpop silhouettes can be created through styling instead of having to buy directly from korean brands :)

I'm from Europe and these clothes look L-XL to me, but I've been to asia and the XL there was a European L for sure, maybe it's a American M like you say
European sizing is changing as well. Or at least some shops. I was a size 38 for a long time, and 38 was M, and 40 was L. Last time I shopped (I usually thrift shop, or get clothes from my shopaholic sisters 😂), they said 38 was S, and 40 was M… Why the vanity(?) sizing… just keep it as it was. We might be getting fatter/obeser, but please don’t make it even easier to be in denial about how big you are… I have been putting on weight and went to a size 40, and if I don’t stop putting weight on, I’ll be going to 42, so I’m trying to exercise more and eat healthier to hopefully get back to 38, or at least stop the ‘growth’/widening and be stuck at 40 instead of starting to outgrow that too 😆
