Robot Gorillaman: "I will destroy you, foul xenos!"
Zodgrod: "No. Youz haz ta wait."
Rowboat Girlyman: "Aye aye"
The C'tan are also Monsters, so he can stop the Nightbringer, too.
That’s cool
That's...appropriate considering what the Orks were made for.
@@VorpalDerringer Orks gettin' made by da Old Ones is pinkie guff. Da Brainboyz made all da greenskinz no matter what da 'oomies in Not-In-Ham tell ya - and den da orks sorted da little know-it-all gitz out right proper.

That's... quite huge.
You thought we were getting primaris orks!? Sike! Primaris grot time!
Flexing in cowardly Green pigmy
Considering I had a grot mob board wipe a full squad of terminators, I approve this
Grotmaris
@@vodarara7184 I'm currently working on a grotstodes army
@@aaronbasham6554 I remember in 7th edition at my LGS an ork player had a unit of grots survive and win Melee with a deep striked terminator squad, Gork n Mork sure waz on iz side dat day.
Damn, even Grots shoot better than the T'au these days
We were discussing why grots don't get strats over a game. Kanz could be hitting on 2+ re rolling ones if you play them right
But the Grots at least don't have pulse rifles, they're basically wielding Laspistols.
Since when have tau been super human marksmen? It's their battle suits that buff then.
@@weemanling The battlesuits also hit on 4s tho lol. Only ones that don't are HQs or Veteran Cadre Firesight Enclaves, which is kind of specific.

@@fallofcamelot I imagine it's run by an ork version of J Jonah Jameson "Porka I need pictures! Pictures of spidah grot!"
Zodgrod might be best used to shut down greater demons and other big nasty monsters. Buffing the grots seems fluffy more than anything else.
MFW even a gretchin is now better at shooting than the t'au
and they don't even have to play laser tag first
pain, so much pain.
at least y'all aint t2
The kanz always were
Imagine this: AT is out for groceries and GW publishes new article.
All these new Ork models and rules making me hype I’m working on an ork army rn
me too mate. I've always fancied doing Ork's, but they just require so many Minis. I think as my 3rd army though, it might actually work.
I've always fancied converting other factions vehicles into orky fingz as well. I think Space Marine stuff will probs work best, but I know will have spare admech guns and stuff, if I decide not to magnetise some kits. I reckon I could orkify a scorpious kit.
Dude I feel that. I have a ton of leftover AdMech stuff that I might kitbash into something for the hell of it. As for costs I started with AdMech so I’m sure it’ll cost me about the same lmao
GW: "Hey everyone! Grots that pew pew at BS 3+! Thats fun right!? YAY!"
Ork Players: "Uh huh. Are they still 5pts of hot garbage?"
GW: "Maybe you didn't hear us. One unit of BS 3+ grots! YAY!"
Ork Players: *sigh*
We already have a small grott theme in my son's army. There's a unit of 30 grotts with a Runtherd, Makari, and Ghazghkull all having grott synergy. I'm glad I picked up a metal Zodgrod when his return was announced, looks like he'll be fun.
Supa runts is a bit underwhelming, but that's understandable since they are Grots. I rather have it be fluffy and underwhelming than OP. I love the ability to shin kick monsters and stun them, I love the idea of Zoggrod kicking a Carnifex and staggering it.
Guilliman thinks he is big and tough with his lucky blue pants, but let's see him get stunned and mobbed by 30 super grots.
My goal is to kick magnus in the nuts as soon as I get my grubby green mits on him
Imagine if they gave Killa Kans or Mek Gunz core so he could buff them
add in sparkly bits and they shoot like a custodes, please gork and/or mork make it so
Right? Grot tanks, too, are already pretty decent -- giving them +1 to hit would be awesome.
@@blakedavis4209 Those won’t have it cause their new stats and keywords are out already.
@@blakedavis4209 i forgot about grot tanks, I think everyone does. they look cool but the rules are meh
The Squigstoppa rule works on all Primarchs. So this runty Ork can just slap Mortarion and tell him he has to wait his turn
Gonna be honest, I was hoping for something a bit more...Orky in regards to his Grot buffs. These seem less like "Supa Grots" and more like "Slightly-Better-than-Meatshields Grots". Unless, as you said, the new Codex fixes the sad state of the little buggers and gives us more to work with, then Zodgrod may just be crazy after all.
I really liked this guy back in Second Edition, and it’s been a thrill to see him back. Now if only GW could bring back some of the other unceremoniously deleted Xenos character choices, like maybe Nazdreg or Asdrubael Vect, etc, I’d be all for it.
if it works with killa kanz and/or mek guns this will be nuts. add in sparkley bits and you have BS 2+ orks!!!!!
I hope he has another way to boost grots. My revalushun could use some juice
How many teef you got on offer? There is a non-zero chance that I have a 30-model blob of Ork boyz with grot head swaps as "da Pinheadz" - a unit of "uber grot" freebooters made by a mad dok that used to work with Zodgrod.
My grotstodes may have some spare shiny elmets and big pointy shooty sticks
I'm surprised there is no LD buff for the grots from wortsnagga
We haven't seen the full sheet yet. Probably be something there.
This is gonna be fun! Cant wait for the Beastsnaggas box
Orks! "Crushin bell-bottom bois since when theys was beaky bois, har, har, har".
We though they're making primaris boys, but now they show primaris grots!
"Those are rookie primaris minis you gotta pump those numbers up".
Last time I was this early necrons had souls
Boy I can't wait to see you review Beast Snagga boyz when they release the datasheets
Damn Auspex, this is your 3rd video today! You are prolific!
I bet Grot Bucket guy is super happy
It would be pretty entertaining to see a Grot based army of renown, I don't know enough about Orks to say it that's even remotely viable (From a lore or model perspective) but it seems like it could be a fun/funny army.
there are rebel gretchin, they tend to be ineffective but they do exsist
rule no.1 of orks, funny ALWAYS trumps effective
@nickfenzi have you seen the Grot Guard!? Check out play on tabletop for a bat rep with them in
Stalling daemon primarchs & hive tyrants sounds pretty handy.
Squigstoppa will also work on Mortarion and Magnus funnily enough
I so hope Old Zogwort makes a comeback!
The idea of him snagging Mortarion...HA!
Pretty sure Riptides and ghostkeels are monsters as well. I know they aren't fighty but still.
Doesn’t seem like those buffs are going to do much, I hope they make him a bit better with the rest of his data sheet. He could use some better abilities
I love to see my snake bites get some love even in a small way
Ooohhhh it’s this ejit who shoved a big mek in his shock attack gun, jeez the years seem to have been for the poor fella.
Edit even for orks
This can be a potential very Solid and cheap backline objective holder. Specially with Raise the Banners.
“Mister Wortsnagga” :)
This might actually be a plausible theme for a Crusade army...
"care and motivation" lol
As someone who plays Guillaman, having Squigstoppa used against me would be hilarious
FINALLY!!! Gloomspite 40k!!!
C'tans have monster keyword also
I think the pistol IS the squigstoppa. That name sounds like an ammunition type 🤷♂️
I love how on a 2+ he could make guiliman fight second
The gretchin buff part literally means nothing unless Killakanz have Core, or they give us a new Gretchin unit to use it on. Oooo S3 AP0 12" single shot pistols that hit on 3s!! (i rarely even shoot these things as theyre almost never in range)
The squigstoppa though....dude so much stuff has monster right now when you think about it. Freaking Ghaz/Girlyman/C'tan shards are monsters. 2+ this grot herder tells them to sit down and wait their freaking turn lol
Red gobbo salutes uzzz
We haven’t seen the grots data sheet yet, it could be a big switch up.
Id love to see some grot gunners troop unit; give them some non pistol weapons; esp if we could get a sniper type weapon with 3 grots running it
Anyone else hear Orkspex not Auspex in the opening today?
I wonder if Mek Gunz will be core?
Is it just me, or is the Audio quite choppy? Nice video otherwise as always.
Yep, it is.
Considering the units that count as monsters I feel that people will run Zogrod just to counter things like Mortarian or c’tan
They should let super grots take rokkit pistols then they go from cute to devastating with that 3+
It's kind of annoying that his lore implies he's less likely to hang around in a Snakebite army than any other type... when the idea of bringing a bunch of Grots itself fits Snakebites so well! 😊
Good start, but a little underwhelming....... Here's hoping Zodgrod can give some extra Grot-buffs as Stratagems.
Giga-Chad Grots
jesus dude three uploads a day?!
The Cawl of the Orks. Literally Primaries grots
I think I'd give that title to Orkimedes - who might very well actually be Caul these days if you dig around under all that metal. I mean really, when have we ever seen proof the guy's who he says he is? Gulliman certainly wouldn't recognize him after all those upgrades, and his voice sounds like the TTS Emperor of Mankind even when he isn't speaking binary. Orkimedes killed the stupid toaster ages ago and took his place to mess with the humies after Armageddon went sour.
Would never stop laughing if it turned out the Primaris all have bits of ork DNA in their geneseed just waiting for "Caul" to trigger their metamorphosis into proper boyz.
This is now my headcanon. :)
Man, am I the only one that wants to see super grots get an actual model? The grot miniatures as they are, they're so freaking old. It's depressing when you think how many ork players field hundreds of these.
If is all grits, that would be actually good.
So you get a grot squad that can raise the banner and shoot at the same time? I'd say it's OP - if it wasn't just grots.
I really wish they would bring night gobbo's to 40k
lol Beast Snagga's aren't Snakebites we promise! Then Proceeds to release Snakebites characters.
Primaris grot!!!!
Do i smell old zog wart the snake bite weard boy?
Ctan, Tau suits, all the Nid biggies.
The buffing grots is fluffy but kinda useless they are still S2 but imagine if mek guns get the core keyword (they are manned by 5 normal grot) Which I didn’t even think about until you said killerkans and stuff
Can we give the Drukhari Raider the "Monster" keyword too?
SUPER SAYIAN GROTS INCOMING
"How come dere hair squigs is all turnin' white? And why is dey floatin' like dat?" - last words, Warboss Dedgit as the Grot Revolushun kicked into high gear
@@richmcgee434 grots scream for five minutes going super sayian

Buffs are nice, but unfortunately as far as it stands if Grots are able to shoot You play Orks wrong.
I do hope GW will recognize some of models have "rifles" and some have 2 pistols, it would be cool if Grots had weapon options to dual-wield pistols or have more than 12" range. I think at some point Grot Blastaz even were Rapid Fire...
imagine if killakans gets core
If grots get access to all the strats then I can get them to hit on 2, re rolling 1
@@scrubsrc4084 imagine if the redgobbo was legal and they had an all throw nades strat
Are grots just young orks . I know they grow out of spores or something. So do grots and snots also grow from spores. I am really feeling the new Ork vibe going to defo get the new codex. Orks ,orks ORKS!
more a subspecies a grot/grechin/snot will never grow into an ork but they propagate in the same way
Nah-- Orks, Gretchin, Snotlings and the various Squigs are all members of the Orkoid Ecosystem. They are all essentially one fungal species with many different variations, created by the Old Ones to function as a self-sustaining army that could fight just about anywhere in perpetuity. Lets say an Ork spore somehow finds itself on a human planet where there are not yet Orks. The spore will land and begin to morph into a fungus, much like the fungi we are familiar with. Eventually it will "fruit", turning into a Mushroom and spread more spores.
These fungi serve as a food and manpower base for the growing Ork infestation. Next, Snotlings, Squigs and Gretchin will grow from these spores and will prepare for the comming of larger Orks, cultivating the mushrooms and squigs.
Finally, with a sufficient base, the first Orks will begin to gestate in the ground, and will become fully-formed in a matter of weeks. As more Orkoid organisms are sired, more spores are also produced. As Orks spawn, they begin to fight those around them, whether it be stray humans, other Orkoids or wild fauna. When they fight Orks become bigger due to their biology and psychic gestalt. The first Nobs will form, and soon among them, the largest will become a warboss.
At this point, different types of Orks begin to be sired-- Oddboyz, such as Weirdboyz, Meks and Painboyz. Orks have a "programmed" memory, meaning that their Meks and Painboyz simply *know* how to fix things, and the scope of what they know expands as their Ecosystem grows, essentially unlocking lost genetic memories. This means that even Feral Orks, if given time and especially loot, will eventually produce modern weapons of war. The Warboss coordinates the gathering of loot and ushers his ladz to fight. The Orks who survive get bigger, those that die simply spread more Spores.
With likely only several months passing, the Orks are well on their way to becoming a frightening force. In time they may overtake the entire planet, and once that happens and there are enough Orks, the increase in their psychic gestalt triggers the desire to WAAAAGH!, which is best described as a mix between a mass migration and holy war. Using the loot on their planet, they will do their best to construct ships, tellyport themselves or summon a derelict from the warp, all to get off the planet-- there are a myriad of means, but the ends are the same: to find more krumpin!
And so, the cycle continues. Another spore or Ork finds itself on a planet. The infestation spreads.
@@alexhooijschuur5131 Replace "Old Ones" with "Brainboyz" and you'd be right. Modern snotlings are the immature forms of the old Brainboyz, a super-intelligent species of orkoid that created all the rest as servants. They devolved into their current forms after the orks revolted and ate all the symbiotic fungus that the Brainboyz needed to reach intellectual maturity (as well as quite a few of the original Brainboyz).
Accept no revisionist drivel from the humies at Not-In-Ham. Orks know da Troof.
They slap the snots that tend the snots that farm the fungus and tend da squigs
I get what they mean when they say if orks stopped killing each other the galaxy would have a big problem with a orkish infestation. Orks are starting to become one of my favourite factions. In going to read that brutal kunninn book now. Also that explains why they are all asexual. Thanks for the explanation
Are Killa Kans core gretchin?
Gretchin "only" army? :p
Primaris grots
It’s too bad that he only gives them +1 to hit instead of improving their WS/BS by one, because gretchin can already do that with their “surprisingly dangerous in large numbers” rule.
It makes me wonder if they will lose this ability, or if more gretchin units will get the core keyword in the new codex
Maybe he is just supposed to buff minimum sized squads.
This still doesn't prove that we won't see a new grot box, in fact I'd say it slightly raises the odds of it. They're taking the Primaris approach with everything now, including the Imperial Guard. (The Cadian upgrade sprue confirms this)
We could see a unit/box of "primaris" grots with a better statline than the regular ones. They'd have the Gretchin keyword and could benefit from this rule, potentially even making them more valuable than orks.
At the very least, I expect we'll see some kind of grot unit. Maybe plastic Grot Tanks. Maybe we'll even see the Squig Riders from AoS reboxed with a 40k conversion sprue, since GW did this very thing with the Tzaangor box already.
If they really wanted to have this guy work with what's already there I think they would have let him buff Mek Guns. It's too awkward the way it is, this looks like Lumineth Part 1-style writing to me.
heh... they really making Orks break the fabric of reality in 40k... Grotz hitting as good as SM and an Ork that can make Bobby G to fight last... Still quite funny.
what's up with the sound on the vid?
I agree, this did not sound very good
They'll primaris anything won't they?
I strongly suspect one of the new kits will be a big mek with kff, since there are rules for it but no model, though that's probably not the snakebite character they mentioned.
da orkz be gettin new boyz! diz mean dat games workshop be doin less serious stuff
Not random enough
m8, tweak the noise gate pls, the audio is shite
Waaaaaaaaaaagh!
you said 'Orkspex tactics' didnt you...
Was this worth no new bois?
I hope he's an actual Freebooter
Grot Tanks better e core this would be great with them
He can just fuckin shut down Be'lakor???
The fact the the "fight last" is on a 2+ and only works on monsters makes it unreliable and hard to consider if he's a HQ slot which ORKs always cherish
It has the not eligible wording tho, making it a super fight last
@@ethanclayton9562 I understand but that fact that it doesn't just happen like every other version of those rule in every other army (besides spells) is a big let down. Since he's a HQ slot you can't risk taking someone like him to get minor grot buffs and a possible fight last on monsters which is not only match up dependant but you actually gotta roll for it and a 2+ is nice but SM players know how easy it is to fail a litani at the wrong time
The way I see it, Grots are gonna stay pretty useless for anything but throwaway obsec unless they at least get T3 and some other abilities to boot. Supa-Grots is extremely dissapointing, considering their grot blastas are one of the worst weapon profiles in the game-- hitting 16% more often with a pea-shooter isn't going to make a a meaningful difference.
I hope this is just the tip of the iceberg, and that Grots are gonna get some more love.
another non event. gw rules either involve +1 to hit on lasguns or 36 shots at S40 D10
You are cut off on most sentences here. I assume your release for your noise gate is set up a little short.
So if we had more than 30 grots in a group they'd be a 2+ to hit? Niiiiice
Pretty sure the basic rules limit you to max +/-1 to-hit modifiers these days no matter what the source.
@@richmcgee434 yep since it a modifier and not a balistic/weapon skill change.
Awww that's a shame. No sniper grots
Primaris Grots...
Having this on a single Gretchin honestly feels like a complete and utter useless waste of an ability, with how meaningless Gretchin shooting is even if it hits.
'Super' grots? Is this just GW playing into the pathetic gretchin stereotype joke? They're still as tough as old tissue paper and as strong as an emaciated kitten. All the bonuses to hits in the world won't remedy that. I wonder if there are further buff rules we've yet to see.
Seriously. Super grotz? Rediculous.
