I like how there is still only one wheel per person on this adventure
best comment
Find a third person and an extra seat and they'll have less than one wheel per person
@@Fongpaay Well there was the weird two person unicycle in one of the USA episodes, it's only half a wheel per person
@@Fongpaay make a baby🤪
Kept up his average
What a great series. And even on the 70 mile trip home Ed still sets up the camera for cycle-by shots. Now that's professionalism.
Especially turning the last corner late at night. That must have taken some resolve.
I was thinking the same thing. I half expected Aishola to give Ed a good tongue-lashing for fiddling with camera shots when they were both exhausted. 😜
Been enjoying Ed's adventures for a while now. So happy to see he found someone that willing live a little rough in order to get the most out of life. P.s. Dude she's a keeper.
I've been thinking exactly this and been wishing that I could have a relationship this too. They're a great couple.
Wise words from Aishola "... when you are comfortable you don't really grow..." Very true.
This is just so wholesome. I love everything about these videos.
This was one of the best things I could have wished for after you did the unicycle world tour.... I'm hoping someday you do an electric tandem w/ a trailer for your kid to ride in. 😁
I can confirm that we have also achieved 41 miles on our tandem down hill, my wife says she closes her eyes went it gets fast. We have both really enjoyed your journey so many memories .
Please tell en she is not the one stering
@@ethanwylie1560 thankfully no. Taking fast sharp bends is also something to be avoided .
Have to say I’ve really enjoyed this series of videos I hope you lots of videos together in future it really works well
So refreshing to see your ‚laid back‘ style video’s and your young love for each other. So glad you share this all with us. thanks 🙏🏻
I watched the 7 episodes and what a great trip around. The sites were amazing but what really caught my eye is the quiet country side...and the ability just to camp almost anywhere and be safe.....that's a dream. I also love the modest way you presented the videos, it's a rare sight nowadays...😁
Ed, kudos to your ever smiling girlfriend, she did really well😊
Take care of each other, you two look great together.
Very, very well done both of you. Awesome challenge. I love the way you were on a push to get to the end in Poole and still had time to do the placing of camera to ride by plus a drone shot.
Amazing Ed and Aishola. Thoroughly enjoyable.
I loved watching this and loved watching you do it together
Oh dear two hours for a simple puncture, you could carry a spare tyre on tour. In 1981, cycling through London with my then girl friend on a laden pre-war tandem heading to Victoria station to get a flight from Gatwick for Crete, the rear axle in the back wheel snapped near Westminster bridge. My girl friend was fearing her holiday was already over but then I produced a spare axle and within fifteen minutes the axle was changed out and we even made it to Victoria for our scheduled train. During our holiday in Crete with a some cycling club mates we took the bikes through the gorge of Samaria from the top down to the coast. The rear tyre on that tandem was thirty five years old as marked on the side wall, 'War Grade'. Happy days!
Wow, well done!
Wow, amazing memories! ❤
Congratulations! That was a pleasure to watch. My Mom & I really enjoyed it.🤗🤗
Congrats on completing your journey. I have been following this series ever since this started. So happy for both of you!
Incredible journey, loved the series. I look forward to the next! Hope you're both getting plenty of rest in between
Truly impressive! Particularly with getting up the hills with a loaded tandem bike. Just awesome..and very well done!
I enjoyed it that much seeing you riding again. I’m starting to watch the uni tour all over again 👍🏻
Beautiful landscape! You two make me want to fly to the UK and do a bicycle tour myself!
Inspirational;well done both of you;I can’t wait for your next series;chapeau 👍
Loved the patreon name at the end 'Seymour Butts' 😂😂
Seeing the pier you left from to travel the world, together with the friend you found on the opposite side of the world, must have been an amazing sense of vertigo. Good work!
Yes, I thought that moment was very special, too! A sense of homecoming and how much has changed in a few years. ❤ How beautiful to see the pier from a completely different place.
Your storytelling is great, really enjoyed the entire series. I missed a little bit of the camping aspects, like on your uni tour :)
I loved the early episodes of the uni tour that ended with setting up the tent, cooking dinner, saying good night, and starting the next day with good morning. 🌄 I got a sense of time and could vicariously experience the camping aspects, too!
This is a great channel and a great video, a lot of positive thinking and trying to be a better version of yourself, it's inspiring. Loved the comment on comfort, it really resonates.
Fantastic, well done both of you. Just one thing I've missed and that's some dancing! I thought you might do a bit in front of the finish sign 😉
This was just such a delight and such an excellent adventure to take with you two. I'm really looking forward to your next big adventure!
I haven’t checked any other of the other comments but just think what speed you could’ve achieved getting your head down over the bars and not allowing that Hoody to be a windbreak. Awesome challenge you made yourself, so glad to have been along for the ride.
oh no no don’t give ideas please i don’t think i can bear more than this speed haha 😂
👍🏼 button just doesn’t cut it. Need a ❤️ button. Great video, great series. Thanks for taking us along for the journey!
Amazing road trip Ed, you both did great 😀 looking forward to the next cycle trip you release 👌
My girlfriend has discovered if we get everything we can out of a downhill, we can go farther up the next hill before we have to start pedaling again, so we start going down a hill, she tucks. Fastest so far is 46 MPH, which was in the rain. I wasn't planning to tuck, but she did, so I did. The pavement was new, no intersecting roads or driveways, no other traffic, a clear shot. I'm very fortunate to have such a great stoker!
wow, you are indeed lucky!
Awwwww yay!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Sounds like an amazing experience and beautiful partnership on and off the bike.
You did a great job of showing what's great about the UK and its people.
Just went down a long rabbithole about Corfe Castle. Fascinating history!!!
11:52 gonna replace that double chainring with a triple so you get bottom gear low enough you can ride up hills as slow as you want? We really enjoy having the option of letting balance be the limiting factor rather than having to get off and push before that point!
Agreed we have a tandem bike Friday and can travel towing a trailer uphill and still not need to stop cheers
All the gear they carry is like having a non-peddler on board a steel frame bike.
Congrats! Cycle touring (whatever the kind of bike) is definitely a head game, much more so than physical.
The best line ever - I haven't got enough experience to know if that tyre is safe! Ed you rode round the world on a Unicycle - you are probably one of the most qualified in the world! Brilliant!
I shed a tear of joy when u reached home! bravo! if u r up for it. more tandeming is very much appreciated. We are tandemers too.
Dear Ed, please tell her you are very proud of her...
he told me that 😭 thank you xx
Yes, best solution when out on the road with a hole or slash like that to your tyre is to patch the inside. Worst thing is for grit to get in through hole or tube to pop out. You’ve done well Ed. And you’re a great couple, handling the challenges together without drama - growing together.
"Seymour Butts.." my favourite bit of each video 😅
Their energy together is so good to watch. I hope they're as happy together as they seem. 🥰
Really enjoyed this series, looking forward to seeing your future adventures together
My wife and I have hit 70 km/h on our fully loaded tandem a couple of times when the road was particularly smooth and wide. The speed just creeps up on you. When I noticed how fast we were going I slowed down very carefully!
😱😱😱
70km/h is really no problem on a bike. You just have to make sure you can see far enough and start braking early enough before turns or other obstacles. Just like with any other vehicle.
Well done Ed and Aishola. Nicely filmed and and great journey to bond a fantastic relationship. Next time the world perhaps! When Covid is cracked of course!
"You're still out of breath", "It's a breathing technique".... I'm stealing that one.
I began watching this morning with the unicycle trip and 12 hours later I feel exhausted myself, you’re an adorable couple and what you’ve achieved really bonded you both , no one knows what the future holds be safe and good fortune for your next journey
So inspiring... thanks for the content 👋
I loved this series. You should do another one after winter.
What an adventure!! Both are you were beaming afterwards. It is so inspiring. Thanks for the amazing series!
Well done you two, a beautiful adventure. Extremely well filmed and edited.
ED you have amazing parents. It's great to see them happy to have Ashala and you home. They seemed so genuinely happy to see you. Warms my heart.
You both are so sweet together! Love to watch your adventures!!! : )
All the people in all the would and you both meet each other. Perfect adventure partners no matter how brutal you still have smiles, just what you need for adventures when one head drops the other lifts the spirit. A proper dream team, think you both could row the Atlantic in something like the Talisker Atlantic challenge. 🙌🙌👊💪💪
"I have gone around the world yet I found only you." - only Ed, and maybe another handful of people can say this in a literal sense!

Wow its a wonderfull adventures bout of you always ride safe 🙏❤️
Glad you guys made it back safe and enjoyed watching you
Missed your unicycling videos. Enjoyed this a lot - thanks.
Well done 👍 you lovely guys!! A great team effort!!
Good luck for a quick recovery and looking forward to your next trip.🌻👍🌻
Ed... Aishola... awesome job... can't wait for the next journey too!!!! Way to go! Can you share what kind of tail and headlight you are using? They look very strong/bright! Can't wait for next week, but loved seeing the coast this last 6 weeks!
Sometimes you can use paper currency to repair a torn tire like what you experienced.
You guys hitting the marker was funny. Reminds me of all the times when I'm trying to film something, I forget to unclip then fall over right in front of the camera. At least in your case no one got hurt and you both had a good chuckle about it. Really enjoyed the ride :)
Thoroughly enjoyed this serious and looking forward to the next one. What a team. Take care, Al
On our way down from Moraine lake, we recorded our fastest speed: 44 km/h on our tandem. But that was only 27mph, no where near 41mph.
Somewhere around Banff we managed 47mph on bicycles. Even around 30 or so the bike starts to let you know that going faster is not a good idea :)
Really enjoyed it, thanks very much.
Great series guys. Lovely to watch.
I absolutely love watching your videos guys! It’s inspiring me to do a ride like this one of these days!
Really enjoyed the trip so thanks for making it. Good first jaunt, now you can go somewhere genuinely beautiful!
We love the tandem inertia and great speed on long descents. Great video guys and trip guys
Really love your adventures. Please, never stop pedaling.
Made me smile seeing you riding that stretch of the river exe and along by Powderham which is often my daily commute..
#SeymourButts! "LOL" Awesome Journey! Enjoying your Video's Ed; Bless you and your family. May Health of the body and soul flourish with you and yours.
Haha, I thought someone at least one person must of noticed Seymour butt's 😅
@@marcross3197 I got a good chuckle when Ed read it so nonchalant; that was priceless... movie material! :)
Great series and love the t-shirt. Well done. Looking forward to your next adventure.
Thank you so much for sharing your tandem trip. What a nice adventure!
Well done guys. We have really enjoyed watching every episode. Now on to your unicycle series! Oh and thanks also to Seamour Butts and Wolfie. Both famous in our household!
Thanks for the ride Ed & Aishola.
Vicarious escapism from my sofa!
This was such a great series to watch!!
loved every second of this series!
Hey, my wife and I loved this so much that we are going to get a tandem and cycle the whole California coast. We found an old GT mountain bike (quatrefoil) tandem bike, and we are going to fix it up over the next year. We are teachers, so spending 4-5 thousand is out of the question for a bike, but it will be a fun adventure fixing and planning our trip. Also, we plan on getting some of your merch and sporting it out on the road. If you have any advice for first-time tandem rides, we would love to hear from you guys.
Wow, that’s fantastic! Ed and I did our first tandem ride on a dodgy chinese tandem that we rented for about 50$ and went for a week ride on a bumpy kyrgyz roads, the chain was falling off a million of times, but it was a great adventure! So hope you enjoy the California coast! Just take things with humour and remember that the stoker is always right haha :)
@@aisholaaisaeva why not make some videos for your channel? We are so curious about your story and Kyrgyzstan is such an exotic country and we know too little about her please introduce more of all those to the world!
@@aisholaaisaeva You already have a pleasant character which is very likeable in front of camera! Too commonly we see people are camera shy but you are a natural and very likeable~!
thanks guys, that was a hell of a trip, that whole coastline is vicious, great stuff, 41mph on a tandem, i'm impressed
Seymour Butts😂😂 seriously?
Had to scroll too far to find this
Can't wait to watch your next adventure together! Loved it!
Really good that even though you're just wanting to get home you still took time to place the cameras to film. Had to laugh when you said you'd no experience 🤣
Phahah that bit with more and more buses made me laugh loads 🤣🤣
Congrats! Looking forward to seeing the next adventure.
A great ending for an epic adventure. Cheers to you both on finishing your journey.
613 miles in one direction + how many miles backtracking for the sake of the film? Thanks both of you
*Thanks God you’re alright, and almost not affected with this ugly global unpleasant thing. I hope it goes as it came, unpredictable and fast, and then we’re all free!*
i have really loved watching this journey you have both been on keep up the great videos and many happy more journeys from jay in liverpool england
I've so enjoyed watching this series and I'm sad that's it's over but I look forward to seeing your future adventures.
Thank you so much for this video series guys. My wife and I have been thinking about cycling/camping (probably more Airbnb than tents!) but you've inspired us to give the tandem ago. Have a well earned rest 😅
I felt for you when you mentioned seat comfort issues
We returned to a conventional two wheel tandem for a 1200 km trip a couple of years ago so now have returned to our beloved recumbent comfortable tandems this time we have had a two person three wheeled side by side tandem built one which fits into suitcases so that comfort is assured
Love the video cheers
congrats man and job well done !
Congratulations! It looked a more fun mission. We are waiting for the next one...
Great work! If you let it rip, you reach 50mph no problem!
Oh my 😱 I see what’s coming for me haha
listening to ‘Cinnamon Clown’ by Crepes Sucette while reading comments after watching your videos is became my favorite thing right now :)
You two, your family and this community so awesome
More! More! More! More!
well done guys! i've ejoyed following your journey!
Lol whole trip smooth, last pedal hits sign haha
Good on you both!
Enjoyed your adventure.
Great Adventure - Thx for sharing (and working hard on it before/during/and after) - regards, Hanspeter
loved this series of videos ❤️❤️❤️
