I got this trigger and new striker in a compact fde version recently. They say the trigger should break in by a couple pounds in 1000 rds. Mine was breaking in as I fired it the first time. Really messed with me lol, but now it’s excellent!
Man I picked one of these up and that new flat trigger that they rave about broke at an astonishing 9lb 8oz!! It doesn’t matter what shape it is when it has a 9lb break if you ask me. Great pistol other than that I think.
Got mine last week and trigger felt heavy and rough. The striker, striker channel and striker block were full of the sticky rust preventative FN coats the gun with from the factory. Cleaned it thoroughly and trigger feels 100% better.
509 series is plagued with STRIKER issues. Does it come with the UPDATED striker. If not then it will still get you killed if that striker snaps in half and you don’t even know it. You should always get a APEX striker or check yourself if you have the new striker from FN. If you have the OLD ONE then that’s a huge no go.
I traded my sig x compact for this 509 mrd le. I'm very impressed with it!
More like a G19X or G45 than a G19, but yeah it’s close.
Yeah they make a 509C MRD LE with the flat trigger that’s basically a Glock 19 size with 15 rd mags. Looks sick
Really liking this, it's like the tactical without the eyesore threaded barrel.
It can be an eyesore without a suppressor, but to each their own.
Still better than a Hi-Point.
Bought this a few months ago. RMR06 on it. Sweet!!

Why not compare to the 45/19X? Seems like a much better direct comparison than the 19 or the 17.
Looks like my 19x is pretty close…..
did they fix the hydro-lock issue
So why is this not on the FN website? They have it but not with this new trigger??
Glock 45 model is the same
Just picked up a Sig P365 Tacops from Dons lol.
You can use a glock 17 magazine in the glock 19, the glock 19 is more versatile than the fn 509 and also more reliable and durable.
Which would you go with the 509 or the echelon?
I’d buy one just to put the tactical slide on it
Stay safe and keep your powder dry!! 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😃
Tha the compact o full size

Yeah they added a conical striker. LAPD ran a 20k round test run so should be good to go
I got a compact fde with this trigger and the new striker. Trigger broke in fast! Plus I got 3 24rd mags along with it
