I just picked this up a couple of weeks ago. It's an amazing shooter, excellent ergos, great fit finish, extremely reliable and absolutely beautiful. And as far as people having an issue with the price tag, I think it's more than fair considering what some of the competition is charging for their metal frame guns. I have a Sig aluminum frame 320 that cost over 1,400, and a 226 that was 12 or 1300 so I think the price on this is absolutely Fair. Thanks for giving us your experience on this.
Agreed 100%. Before the Sig P320 AXG, Walther released the metal Q4 SF and the Q5 SF (for competition shooting) and those are still more than the M&P 2.0 Metal. The M&P Metal is priced very competitively and is the best value if you want a metal frame, striker fired pistol.
@@JacksonWalter735 yessir! I got one recently and would rather have paid retail, than 4 to 5 hunnit dollas MORE and it can do 10 yd cold bore shot on an official idpa target and hit the 0 in the a zone!
I purchased the 'Metal' about a month ago. Love it. I found the prickly front strap 'mellows' eventually and isn't as annoying as when it first came out of the box. Initially I thought this was just my hand getting used to it. However, when I grip it with my non-dominant hand, it feels the same. So, I'm inclined to believe it does dull down a bit.
Thanks for the review. I guess the question I would have would be, does the stiffer metal frame and the new trigger actually result in real world accuracy that is better than the polymer frame 2.0 with the old style trigger? To me, that is what I would want to know in making the decision as to which one to buy.
Like the rest of the M and P 2.0 models, the loaded chamber indicator is directly in front of the optics cut which allows gas/soot to build up on the front of your optic lens after about 100 rounds.
It's so over priced .trigger is not an improvement. The aluminum is as this as tinfoil. All you milinials and smith apologist have to like it or admitt they just blew 8 to 900 dollars. Lmao........
My question is this: how does that Cerakote finish hold up to holster wear? I have heard mixed reviews on that kind of finish, a lot saying that it tends to rub off fairly easy through use.
I love your channel man! Just some friendly advice. You should try ditching the little intro animation. Not that it's bad, but in my experience when I ditched my old intro animation my channel started growing a lot faster.
Thanks for your kind words! I am always open to ideas to improve and grow the channel, so I will certainly look at that. Thanks again for your support!
IMO when using 2 handguns 1 of metal frame and 1 of polymer of the same caliber, load and approximately the same grip size I find the felt recoil response is different in "feel" rather than amount. My perception is the polymer frame gun (though lighter) feels like the recoil impulse flexes the frame. The metal frame is a shorter recoil impulse. Just what I have felt over several different makes and models in metal and polymer.
I adore mine. It's the best shooter out there period. Worth every penny. The grip is def not leaving any marks on my hands. Maybe you have lil girl skin hands. Idk. But I put 500 rounds thru ot the day I got it and no grip worries whatsoever. Best gun on the market
I agree, love mine, the accuracy I'm getting out of it with very little effort has really impressed me, and I thought he must have girlie hands too, I feel price is fair, awesome shooter
@@billl1451 Yeah I saw it at $810 one place. Then luckily I saw it at another store for $719 to be exact in Ohio. Bad thing is you have to pay tax. But in West Virginia no tax on guns or ammo. Luckily I live right on the border. Its nice not paying tax on guns!
Shit! Arizona and I paid 899...but I love it! Dang thing makes me look like I know what I'm doing! 1st shots video is unbelievable!! All shots were at 10 yards (30 feet) and I ate a hole through the official idpa target A zone!! My Gawd, I love this thing. 😀 I carried this today in an owb from bravo concealment and it does catch on ur cover shirt as well as my undershirt.
I can't believe some folks going on about the grip panels. I have Talon Granulated Grips on my guns, they are far more aggressive than the stock M&P grips. Suck it up butter cup, too many snowflakes nowadays.
Good review.dose it bother anyone else the site cover is plastic on the metal gun. I would have preferred a metal plate to go with the metal these. Im an old fashioned tradisional site guy .dont want any electronic site or gizmo sticking out. Really looks lame. i sometimes drop my jandguns and I know that would destroy site. But worse is the plastic footprint. I see the screws breaking or pulling out with a drop. No its just to fragile.what say others????????

Poor you
just got one and love it, definitely worth the money. great video.thanks

Got it, love it!!
This the Rival S and S& W Competitor are awesome!!
You can tune the grip panels with 320 sandpaper. If it gets white, use oil and they get black again.
Really nice gun❤

Very nice, breakdown video. 👌 thank you.

Yup then the aluminum will dent and scratch with and holster carry use. What a miss. Worst smith since the original smegma I mean sigma
@@earldelsanto that is disappointing. Thanks.
Picking mines up tomorrow😊
Great review brother
Another great video! I carried an older version and Smiths got a decent firearm here. I really liked your video on the Ruger .380 LPC micro carry. 😊
Does the metal mean you cant limp wrist it? Thatsall i want to know.
They should’ve stopped doing three dot sights once they stop doing Saxophone solos in a rock song..
It's finish reminds me of the 'old' satin nickel finish on the old Desert Eagle, just a little bit darker.

Did you weigh it ? I don’t think so because it’s 2 ounces heavier. Not 6
Me and my son loves M&P...We both like the Metal...But not for that price.

Paid $710 for this!! Great value!! Love it!
in tennessee i am see it at 850

Watched dozens of videos on the 2.0 and not one person has said whether the trigger is plastic or metal

It weighs about the same as the M&P 10mm
It's going on my Christmas wish list. Please Santa. 🙏 🎅
Ask that question again in thrirty years
It does have less recoil than the polymer...a 10mm in Metal would be flat shooter...But the weight might make it not worth it.
I would rather have a 5906 or a 915.

Way to much money...The polimer gun is good enough...They make a great gun...But nobody carrying this gun...
I agree. Its definitely the best looking stock striker fire pistol ive seen, but they are asking for too much $$$ for this.
