Dennis fire engines up to the 1970s were engines sculpted to fit the old wheeled escapes they really looked the business, it was a rule where we come from that the engine was cleaned down after every call out before putting away.
Whilst stationed at Holloway 64 to 70 we had a 101, SLW 177 for a while that i drove and they were good motors and you could get a tidy speed with them although they were quite old then with a funny gearbox and they had a tendancy to loose grip at the rear and possibly spin as they had only single wheels at the rear.
Dont think I have ever seen one so perfectly kitted out inside and so immaculate
What a beauty. It's the same age as me too. 1956 and 56 years old. I love it!
Excellent video showing the inside which is immaculately clean. Fantastic work Folks.🌟👏👍🥇
Now that's proper! The days when appliances had SOUL.
Airfix should make a modelkit out of this beauty
