- Fretboard inlay took me almost a month to finish, I only use small hand tools and a magnifying goggles to make them. The Guitar body took me 3 months to make, and 1 week of practicing #playinggod by #polyphia at the same time editing this video.
I was inspired by #timhenson 's music and made this guitar as a tribute to his great music, skill and talent. I hope you all like it, I gave my all producing the special guitar and this video.

beautiful video!
It's an honor to see you here. Thanks for inspiring this video. ❤️
Tim replied, that's actually crazy
That’s crazy imagine if he could play it😫
@@seanorz1920yeah i want him to play it
Ternyata kita telah menonton video yang sama
Thats not guitar building...Thats Art !...The filming the music, everything just perfect
I love how meticulous this is. I have just done a few hand too restorations to start off and I'm the same way. Its a shame I don't see this more often.
It's both art and craft 🥰
Very nice work, very nicely sounds. Hi from France.
the two aren't mutually exclusive, guitar building IS art.
The music is too much
Never seen someone put a sanding disc on a drill press, absolutely genius
Yeah, stealing this tip immediately. I was using a Safe-T-Planer for that but they're a pain to keep sharp
That is a sneaky trick. Stolen.
Tam's other half
thought that was very clever too
Had the same thought....I was lucky to have found this video.... GORGEOUS WORK...
Came here to type the exact same thing! Genius - new sub here!!
I am in awe of your skill, passion and talent. What an incredible guitar. This embodies craftsmanship.
Thank you!
This is an amazing build. I’ve played the TOD10n. I love that it honors the real deal while still retaining some of your own creative choices. I also really like the natural unpainted top. The inlays are pretty spot on to my eye. You even added some binding and a heel cap like the TOD10n - I really like the look of yours with wood binding.
Have you tagged Tim Henson? I bet he’d get a kick out of your work! #TimHenson #Polyphia
The binding made me go 😯 , ooooo what a classy fellow
No fancy background music. No annoying voice over.. just art
Incredible build! I wasn't expecting to be nearly as mesmerized as I was by your intricate handiwork, framing and composition, and the sheer amount of detailed planning necessary to pull everything together. Bravo!!!
Thank you!
You are ridiculously talented. The tools and jigs, the techniques, the way you are combining things to make it work for you. Just Excellent!!
Thank you!
and he can play guitar too!
I have a new appreciation for the amount of work that's gone into making a guitar.
The secret of reproducing many guitars is making precise jigs for bending and glueing up. Makes construction a joy. 😊
What a journey on a Sunday morning!
Thank you so much for all the effort and time that went into this production.
Increible!
Simply amazing! I play the Tim Hanson Ibanez every day now. I dont realise how much work, time and sweat it takes to produce this guitar! Keep up your guitar work! 👍😊🎸
Absolutely beautiful! Gorgeous instrument and the build was incredible. Very well done! 🙏🏻
Thank you!
Incredible craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing your skills with us.
I've been waiting for somebody to build it for so long. Incredible skills and talent. Great video and the guitar is even better!
Absolutely wonderful to see. You have great luthiery skills. I started my first electric guitar build very recently, which is a Telecaster. This is on my to do list in the future. Excellent music choices for us to hear while watching. I am now subscribed! Thanks for the video!
Man, I would love to be able to do that. Imagine wanting a guitar and instead of buying it you just make it yourself! Living the dream
This is beautiful. To see this process captured like this, with these angles, with its natural sound, and the background music. It's just perfect. Thank you, sir, you brought some real joy to my day.
Amazing work, thanks for sharing!
Loved the editing / stop motion look to the timelapse. Great workmanship too
Thank you!
that´s as beautiful as insane as inspiring, truly amazing work!!!!
Congrats!!!
Bravo! Loved the tools and the craftmanship. Beautiful instrument!
Amazing build! Great detail and mostly done with handtools... I love the simple jigs and hacks you used instead of sophisticated tools.
Very beautiful guitar! Nice sounding too!
Thank you!
That is art. Nicely done. Beautiful workmanship.
Mesmerizing to witness. I love the true natural song she sings unplugged. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Fantastic. I really enjoyed this video. Keep up the great work!
Thank you!
This is so, so cool. Absolutely mesmerizing to watch. You're incredibly talented at what you do.
My man, this was incredible! I pray to have a skill like you one day.
This is incredible work! Absolute masterpiece 🖤🙌🏻
This is absolutely beautiful im stunned for words!🙌
Thanks!
This is probably my fourth or fifth time watching this video and every time I do, I'm impressed again and again by the level of craftsmanship.
the soundtrack is perfect i was looking for stuff to learn and this really is what i needed. thank u for that!
I love this video! It´s Beautiful! And, as a beginner/hobby builder I´ve Learned som much! Thank you!
What a beauty !!! That level of craftsmanship is just extraordinary!
I love having access to videos like this where I can just see a master at work
Something I have very little knowledge on myself that I can just immerse myself in and appreciate the craftsmanship
I don’t build guitars I just play them
Beautiful work
Great work. Beautiful design and selection of tone woods. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful work, at the same time of art, detail and precision. Congratulations on the complete video, showing the beauty of building a musical instrument with unique characteristics. And in the end, the beautiful sound, the result and goal of all the careful work.
You are absolutely gifted not only making but playing, excellent video
Wowzers!! Amazing build! Great video!
Cheers from Texas!
🤘😺🤘

When I saw the thumbnail I thought, oh snap, maybe I can make this guitar on a budget and have one after all, how hard can it be. What a piece of art, I take it all back. It looks phenomenal.
Beautiful production and build. It’s wonderful to see a true craftsman at work.
Astounding! What a masterpiece, you are art itself sir big respect *hats off* it's so soothing that made me sleep the first time I watched it. But when I woke up I immediately watched again til the end.
I am absolutely stunned by the craftsmanship required to accomplish this...amazing
That heel cap was a very nice touch. Excellent use of fine timbers, not overused. Sleek but modest with high quality craftsmanship. Muy buen tribajo.
Thank you!
Awesome work and great playing!
Thats a great build man❤
thanks for the awsome video dude. was very relaxing and interresting
Some seriously nice work! Very impressive, and sounds wonderful unplugged.
Wow! That's fantastic... Good work my friend. Enjoy your guitar for all times...best wishes
Bruh! I've been waiting for this for a looong time ,when you told me that its in work i keep coming back to you'r channel many times to see if you uplaoded it yet
It's one of the most challenging guitar that I built, the inlay took me a month to make. I remember our conversation back then, that's why I have to keep my promise. Thank you for your patience!
cant imagine the amount of time, hardwork and splinters this man had to go through
amazing work ❤
This is just incredible!!
Not afraid of work, that is for sure. I can only imagine what it took to get to this point. Bravo.
the first song in the background is fantastic. what a mood
Amazing I enjoyed every second of this !!! the unplugged and plugged sound are so beautiful ❤❤ and I prefer the unplugged more 😍😍
Oh, I love guitars in natural colour so much better, wonderful build!
Unplugged the guitar sound so beautiful natural great work brother
Thanks!
You know, I feel like smiling and crying right now, because this is a waaay too beautiful of a video.
The perfection of every single thing, omg!
Bravo !!! Well done, I love it!
Love that pencil in the bearing trick for tracing around the shape of the body.
Also, surprised to see you didn't use medical tubing to clamp the fretboard onto the neck.
Amazing build!
I used to use thick rubber tape for clamping, but over time it gets brittle. I'll check on that medical tubing, thank you for suggesting it.
The soundtrack and all, just magnificent. Cheers
That's not a guitar, that's a masterpiece 🔥🔥🔥
Your right it does look like a piano 🤔
Absolutely awesome! You must be so proud! I would be!
Insane🙏🏼💞 this is art
Wow, that’s amazing! What a beautyful Guitar 👍🏼
Beautiful work, and good job nailing the Playing God! IMO the unplugged sounds better 😊
Wonderful! The pencil in the bearing tip is great.
lot of sweet little tips in this video. this guy knows his craft
Wow. Love it. Hope you build me a lefty sometime. xoxo. amazing work! keep it up!
That's an ingenious glue-up jig! I'm a woodworker and a guitarist myself so at some point I decided to try making some simpler instruments in spare time, and I've only ever had to join two thinner slats at most (it was for a morin khuur, no heat bending required so I figured it would be my first project) but I was totally lost when it came to larger stuff (I tried parallel clamps with a ton of boards and it would always fall apart) - your solution is simple and elegant, 10/10
How you “clamped” the wood was genius
AMAZING. 😮 bravo
Love everything about this build but *especially* those lit sound holes :)
I have been a craftsman of many things over my life, and have been forced to build a lot of tools.. There are some techniques here that are so genius, yet simple.. and I am extremely impressed. What a Master Artisan.
Magnifique !
Quel boulot!👍
This is awesome!!!
Thank you for the wonderful video! I make guitars myself (more precisely, electric guitars), and the experience of this Master was very beneficial to me.
Must be massive glue, to take on such pulling forces.....great job!!
Wow! Absolutely beautiful,I love the natural wood.
Just Beautifull
Thank you!
This Great work is so commendable!!! Napakahusay!!! ❤
Ro
Great job and beautiful Guitar.
Obra de arte aí. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
That's amazing unplugged
WOW so beautiful that is the work of a master Luthier amazing
Amazing Work...
Ang lupet! Wala ako masabe 👏
I dont see anyone pointing out how insane it is to build a guitar like this entirely eithout a router. I've frankly never seen it done before. This is amazing
What a stunning guitar. I love it and want to play it.
This guitar is incredible.
Thank you!
it's kinda weird that this guitar sounds so good unplugged while the original Ibanez TOD10n sounds really bad unplugged (even Tim Henson himself told us to use the Fishman pickup).. Love your video !!! as a guitarist, I really appreciate all the hardwork from the Luthier... you guys deserve a higher recognition.. Tim Henson should play this guitar !
Unfortunately Ibanez wouldn't let him. They have him locked down. He can't be seen playing anything other than an Ibanez.
@@jambertin54that really sucks. Its hard to believe a contract is able to control their lives so much.
@rogue1537 you sign your life away with these contracts. Tim used to play Jackson, Ernie Ball, and I think one other brand, but since his Ibanez deal. I think he got rid of all his non ibanez guitars. Metallica are pretty much the only band that can play whatever they want even though they're endorsed by ESP. When Tims deal expires, he can play whatever he wants at that point.
i love this work, and u ... a good guitar player.
That's a real special guitar, because you made it yourself. It certainly would be to me.
I envy you that you have the space and the tools to do that--where I live now (and for the foreseeable future) I have no space for a workshop (I didn't realize it would be this cramped when we bought the place).
I know you got a LOT of pleasure building that guitar, especially shaping and shaving the wood. Excellent job. Enjoy it!
(In my case, the hardest part would've been cutting the tiny pieces of MOP for the inlays! But, oh, the satisfaction after pounding them in place, and then sanding everything even!)
I think it sounds better unplugged, but that's the way you want it to be! With electronics, there is always some combination of filters and EQ to make it sound the way you want.
Enjoy it and be proud!!
OMG your patience is incredible
Mate..beautiful work. Happiness is sharp steel. And sweet tone..
absolutely awesome
I've never seen someone use a drill press for sanding like that! Smart idea!
This guitar is really beautiful !
Awesome! I Build Electric Guitars & I Must Say; This Guitar Requires So Many Skills! & I Applaud You On Your DIY Tools & Fixtures! Beauitiful Work! Just Awesome!
Thank you!
Unreal!!!! What a job!
