I know I’m a little late but killer video man. It’s so hard to find decent settlement mods for the Xbox but all of these are bangers. Keep up the good work man!
There used to be a mod where while in building mode you could stand in one spot and once yiu select an item, you can move it around in 3D space using control without actually having to physically move. I hate that that it’s gone now.
@Spirit_77715 I have a number of beginners tutorials that I have put together over the last few months that might help you. Just look at the Fallout 4 tips and tricks playlist
All great mods, I'd be lost without Workshop Rearranged and Dead Wasteland 😂 for Xbox users, they can use Workshop Rotation alongside Place Anywhere, it opens up rotating on the other axises, it uses the menu prompts to do placement.
Video title should include (non-PC) as a caveat because Workshop Framework and Mod Configuration Manager are easily as valuable as any item you have listed. Otherwise nice choices. If you're on PC Thematic and Practical is also a good choice.
I am extremely sad that Thematic and Practical is no longer available for Xbox or it would be on this list. Just for reference I have only ever used mods on Xbox for FO4. Therefore I am not really knowledgeable about what PC has to offer outside browsing the nexus occasionally. Thanks for at least giving me a heads up, appreciate that
@@Gaming4XP Both mods I mentioned require SKSE which is why they aren't available on console. If you'll looking for purchasing a on sale copy for PC I recommend GOG over all other storefronts as it readily allows you absolute control over updates and is just as moddable as the Steam version. Things like the full version of SS2 (w/ SS2 Extended + add-ons) and FOLON exceed console limitations.
If I build a settlement utilizing Place Anywhere and then loaded this save file in game without this mod, would it still work? Is building utilizing mods increasing the probability of game crashing/save file corrupting? Is there mod that simply cancels the settlement size limit? How much you can really build/cram a settlement before your game crashes as soon as you load your save file in the settlement? Sorry if my questions sound stupid but I need to know before I embark on this journey, it's not that easy to find definitive answers
You can disable any mod and still play the game , what may happen is that material or assets maybe missing. There are always risks in mods causing crashes to the game, I have found this by trial and error over many years. The ones highlight in this video haven’t given me any problems. You can download mods that give you unlimited building capabilities and it takes quite a bit before it will crash your game. Certain settlement such as Hangman’s can be more problematic than others when adding lots of builds. Most settlement won’t give you any problems. Check out some of my builds on the channel it might give you a better idea of how big you can actually build
@@Gaming4XP Wow, thanks. I really should check out your builds. Also, I've seen a pretty recent video on UA-cam (released 4 months ago, I believe) where a guy built over the whole entirety of Sanctuary 2-3 stories, no empty space left, adding a lot of interior and exterior futures, decorations, functionality and stuff. The video is just a tour around the city with little text commentary on the screen. He claims to have built the city with no mods, his fps is around 30, with occasional drops to 15 despite Intel i7 or i9 modern CPU and 2070 GPU. That's incredible how it doesn't crash. What do you think?
Things will happen in this game that don’t make sense for example the game can crash in the middle of Boston due to the way the sun rays render. I wouldn’t worry about it too much it just normal Bethesda stuff 🤦♂️. Honestly many of us have tried to crash the game in the past by doing huge builds. It’s amazing just how far you can push things even on an older Xbox one or PS4
Do you have any recommendations for cleaning up debris in settlements? Most of the ones I've seen just clean up/remove everything and the settlements become too clean and lose character. I just want to clean up some of the debris piles in Hangman's Alley that get in the way of building without removing the wasteland charm 😅
I have been using clean the commonwealth mod for years now and it works flawlessly. Scrapping debris is always something that needs to be done carefully, frequently saving can help so you don’t go to far 🤦♂️
Hi Moxxie since the next Gen update this got screwed up a bit…..the trick is to search the mod authors and you should find it. I have done a video recently explaining how this works if you need to check it out
I guess Diamond City needs to be a named settlement first before that can happen. I do think DC has great potential to build upon, I am sure it would screw the game code though 🤦♂️
That’s hard to answer as it very much depends on all the other mods you might be running and what system you using. If you go to the front page of my UA-cam channel and scroll down to the Fallout playlists. In Mod reviews I have a video showing my exact mod load order. This might help answer your question

@chriscraftpro3246 Hi Chris, unfortunately when mods get removed altogether they will remain on your Xbox until you do an update then are deleted. Therefore they will not show up on your new Xbox. The best thing to do is to log into Bethesda.net using you main Xbox account and build you mod library. Once you have done this start up Fallout 4 on Xbox and check the mods menu.
