I am *floored* that "Daisy Jones" got so many (well-deserved) Emmy noms but not one single song was honored, most especially this one. It's truly one of the greatest pop songs of the last decade, never mind last TV season. It captures the feel of the show perfectly and sounds timeless as well as 70s-influenced. I am just absolutely gutted.

The lyrics are actually really good but the music??? The sounds??? Hello??? So good and addictive. It sounds like there are three different songs combined. This is why the song fits for so many different moods and situations. The “It's an album you can play at a party. It's an album you get high to. It's an album you can play as you're speeding down the highway. But then you listen to the lyrics and you realizes this is and album you can cry to. And it's an album you can get laid to. For every moment of your life, in 1978, Aurora could play in the background” thing is very well honored.

The riff that kicks in at 2:24 sounds so much like a similar passage right at the 3:20 mark in "The Chain'. Others probably noticed that further down in the comments, but I had to remark on it. Doesn't take anything away from this song though. This TV series has its flaws, but the music, and this song especially, is wonderfully catchy.

For younger fans of the show who would not be familiar with the pre Fleetwood Mac era,, I do suggest that you all listen to the "Buchingham / Nicks" album. (Before they joined Fleetwood Mac). The music there is identical.(The Buckingham / Nicks album is from 1973. It has a black and white picture of the two on it ). I'm lucky enough to have both the vinyl (bought in 1973) and the CD (bought around 2017).

I really love this song & the guitar solo sounded so much like Buckingham. I read the book last year and really enjoyed it but didn’t think I’d like the show or the music. I loved the show & the music was great. I wish there would be more episodes and more music.❤

I started reading the book before watching the show and I'm on page 256, only just started listening to aurora but I love how Eddie complains so much about not having freedom over his art and yet this song is almost exclusively guitar, I bet he has fun when he plays this song because it feels more rebellious in terms of Eddie than the other songs
I don't know if anyone else understands what feelings I'm trying to convey here 😅

Once you associate the song with the story you body cant forguet bro. After finishing the series my heart sinks in when i listen to it and i sing with sispair and power. But when we were in the first episodes and recording it seemed the happiest song.
    (spoiler ahead)
    .
    .
    .
Its such a trip, at firts is conflictive but happy because Daisy is recording and she just met Billy; then when Billy is calling Cam after the session and listens to Daisy´s vocals thinking about her you sense an inminent betrayal (tangible or not, they sugest it), then its a bop, a succes, you´re happy and amused by the dinamics of the band and you sing along as if you were in the public of those first concerts; then as the end aproaches you sense routine and stress; finally in the last performance we dont even get it complete, its just the rush, the sadness, the conflict of deciding whats good instead of whats chemistry and passion. Its also the end of something that was great, and you can hear and feel all those layers in one song?
IT PERFECTLY CAPTURES AND RECREATES WHAT FANS FEEL WITH THEIR FAVOURITE SONG FROM THEIR FAV BANDS! these composer, productors and actors really went ahead and altered my brain chemistry and im grateful, i even want more. This is what i want when i say i want to watch a series!!!!!!!

    I don't know who I am
    Baby, baby, baby
Do you know who you are?
Is it out of our hands?
Tell me, tell me, tell me
How we made it this far
Did we unravel a long time ago?
Is there too much we don't wanna know
I wish it was easy, but it isn't so
Oh, we could make a good thing bad
Oh, we could make a good thing bad
    Now, where do we stand?
Baby, baby, baby (baby, baby, baby)
No one knows who you are
And if this was your plan
    Tell me, tell me why
You've been cryin' in the dark
We unraveled a long time ago
We lost and we couldn't let it go
I wish it was easy, but it isn't so
    So, baby
Oh, we could make a good thing bad
Oh, we could make a good thing bad
Oh, we could make a good thing bad
Oh, we could make a good thing bad
How did we get here? How do we get out?
We used to be somethin' to see
Oh, baby, look at us now
Oh, baby, look at us now
This thing we've been doin' ain't working out
Why can't you just admit it to me?
Oh, baby, look at us now
Oh, baby, look at us now
Oh, baby, look at us now
Oh, baby, look at us now
Oh, baby, look at us now
How did we get here? How do we get out?
Oh, how did we get here? How do we get out?
We used to be something to see
Oh, baby, look at us now
    Baby, look at us now
This thing we've been doin' ain't working out
Why can't you just admit it to me?
Oh, baby, look at us now
    Baby, look at us now
