Just so glad I got out of this kind of experience when I had a relationship with this person who is 8 yrs older than me like more than 4 yrs ago. I ended it after realizing my worth since it traumatized me. Now, I am glad that I am no longer feeling any pain. I can say now that I have finally healed from that trauma and proud that I have moved on from it. I am now in a very happy relationship with whom I can call my soulmate and whom I love soo much genuinely as much as he loves me; I don't even have to try so hard, and he adores my weirdness and quirks as much as I adore him. He is for me "The One". For those going through heartbreaks and pain, you will eventually heal and come back stronger and happier. It may take weeks, months, and years, but you will. Just take time to love yourself and be with people who were always been there for you (family, friends). Eventually, when you least expect it, someone will come into your life and will be the best love of your life. Hugs

do you really believe she wrote the ten minute version for you , A Swiftie ? 7:45 is the part that always gets me. “Cause in the city’s barren cold, I still remember the first follow of snow and how it glistened as it fell. I remember it all too well.”
I just realized that the experience she's talking about with her Dad saying it's supposed to be fun being 21, she writes about it in The Moment I Knew. Its so crazy how the 10 minute version connects everything
"All Too Well" made history as the longest number one song on Billboard's Hot 100 list... Ahhhhh I'm so proud I got to witness this masterpiece breaking records 😭😭💕💕
I get goosebumps from "'Cause in this city's barren cold I still remember the first fall of snow And how it glistened as it fell I remember it all too well" and I don't even live in a country where it snows.
Does anyone else agree that their youth would have been totally different without Taylor’s songs? She got me through every heartbreak, all the grief that comes with it and even though I was feeling sad, lonely and confused at the same time, I knew I wasn’t alone and that I’d eventually shake it off…. Or just me? Thank you Taylor, you are the artist/queen of a decade ❤️
Imagine being gaslighted enough to write a 10 minutes song (or maybe the original lyrics were more) just to remind yourself that you are not crazy, it's not all in your head, you remember what happened to you, and you "remember it all too well". I love you, Blondie.
@@imjustbored2867 exactly, the heartbreak of the song is not obsession, she just knows her way with words and that's something so admirable, i think we all have have heartbreak and pain in our life but the difference is taylor uses music to express it.

3 years ago, I was listening to "All Too Well" crying and sobbing about my ex, I really was thinking can I ever get over him like Taylor did with Jake? I was thinking about how this song is filled with feelings and sadness. Today I realized that we can get over people no matter how much we loved and how genuine our feelings were just because we deserve better. Today I listen to "All Too Well 10 minutes" and I'm proud of myself. I got over my Jake, did not find my Joe yet but I know I will. Thank you Taylor ❤️
Listening to this 10 minutes version. The song made more sense. It's like reading an entire entry of a diary. Something personal, powerful and raw. Thank you for sharing this song,Taylor.
I wonder... does the video length 10 min 12 seconds is an Easter egg for this date, November 12th., or November 12th. back those days the song was inspired on 🤔🤔🤔🤔
She took a 3 month relationship 10 years ago and gave it the same vibe as a 10 year relationship ending in divorce and I respect that. I’m going through a divorce and I related to a lot in the song.
I like this version and I can’t imagine how Taylor added more lyrics and tones that fits to the original songs. You’re really an amazing song writer. No wonder why Olivia and Conan is looking up to you.
@@marga2126 I actually think that she might have added some lyrics, like this line "I'll get older but your lovers stay my age" because at that time she could not have known that, in general the last part to me sounds like the writting style of folklore or evermore, but we will never know. And if she did or didn't it doesn't matter, this song is a masterpiece and it doesn't make it less genuine or anything.
I honestly love this transition. She went from being the young, heartbroken girl who cried anytime she performed this live to now being the empowered woman smiling in the recording booth because she FINALLY reclaimed a part of her life that definitely shaped her who she is as a person now. I hope this wonderful blond woman knows how much I love her and that I’ve been with her since I was channel surfing because I couldn’t find the remote and paused when I saw her sitting on a porch in a blue dress singing about riding shotgun. Feels incredible knowing that we’ve grown together and she sang me through every heartbreak, sang me into finding true love, and now knowing we’ve both found peace and have healed together. There’s nothing like it.
This was a beautiful comment and I couldn’t agree more. I’m 32, born the same year as Taylor. And I remember being gifted her first album as a teenager even though I didn’t even like country music that much but she resonated so much with me and her music. We’ve grown, we’ve grown up, we’ve been broken, we’ve healed, now we have grown into ourselves and can speak of the past with strength. It’s been a beautiful journey.

Indeed, she has an epic brilliance, it's what made me fall in love with her where I stayed for years....too bad she felt it necessary to inject her misguided "politics" into her brand; this broke my heart and caused me to realize that she could not actually be my soulmate...
Most of us know this story well because we’ve lived it…when taylor sings about it, It’s almost as if she was right there with me when it was happening.. 💔
This is one of her best songs ever. I know every lyric...this is just a masterpiece , Thank you Taylor for creating it! this song feels like a warm hug in fall!

When the original Red album came out over a decade ago, I was going through a painful breakup, and it really spoke to me and got me through. That ex and I eventually got back together, and got married. After 7 and a half years of marriage, and his countless affairs and betrayals, we just got divorced in September. I knew I would never be healed of this pain; but I thought I was doing fine and holding it together. But within minutes of listening to this song, it pulled out the darkest of grief and heartbreak from deep within me, in such an unexpected way. I dropped to my knees and sobbed with my whole body and soul. It just flowed out of me like the waters finally breaking over a dam. This song has allowed me to truly and fully mourn and grieve my loss. I keep listening to it, and I keep letting that grief out, and releasing that pain from my soul. Taylor helped me through that breakup all those years ago, and she’s helping me through the ultimate breakup now. She’s helping us all to process, grieve, and heal. It’s therapy. But, most of all, this song is a monumental gift to humanity. And she is a treasure beyond words. Thank you, Taylor. Thank you. Thank you.
Masterpiece. It's not a song, it's a page of a diary and she is telling a whole story in 10 minutes. This is what happens when talent meets circumstance, this is how art is made.
Hurts to hear this song my gf absolutely loved this song she even cried listening to it. I lost her to an unexpected brain aneurysm after 4 beautiful years with her. I still come back to listen to this from time to time to feel like shes close.
as if the 5-minute version wasn't already a masterpiece, we get the 10-minute version. i know the lyrics by heart so when i heard the other parts i got goosebumps. you're listening to something so warm and familiar and then suddenly it's not. it's like waking up from a dream you can barely recall i wish i could express how i feel about this better, but english is so hard. i just really love taylor's writing 🌿
Taylor and Jake only dated for '3 months' as the articles say. And man, this so resonates with me, short relationships (between 3-5 months) are so intense and SO painful when they end. Just another one of the MANY reasons I adore this song - a perfect capturing of life
fr, feels like you never get closure or enough time with them, in a long relationship you can kinda see the breaking points, but because of the short relationship it seems sudden, at least from my experiences.
I feel like they were longer than 3 months... I think the part of the song where it says “You kept me like a secret, while I kept you like an oath” makes it sound like they were together longer? It’s just he wanted her to keep their relationship a secret :((( Might be overthinking it but yea
“From when your Brooklyn broke my skin and bones, Now I’m a soldier returning half her weight” is her most powerful line; this is her taking back her power saying before I was young and didn’t know better that I was being used, but now that I’m older, I’m not going to be quiet and let others make the same mistake I did.
The line "I forget about you long enough, to forget why I needed to" will still be the saddest and most ironic line for me. You may try forget someone you've loved, but the truth is you don't really forget him/her. You are just forgetting the idea and feelings you have to that someone. Thus, you'll remember it all. But because of how time and life transcends, those feelings will change and you'll realize that things just pass. But you don't have to let your pain eat you all up though. Because that pain can be the power that will enable you to create something wonderful just like this song. One thing's for certain. Taylor Swift, our QUEEN articulately portrays her emotions and thoughts in this song and in the end, it's the most precious thing to have witnessed.
"You kept me like a secret while I kept you like an oath" part is another level of songwriting. I love the acceptance of the past with a mixture of melancholy and anger of finally seeing the truth of a toxic relationship. That line is such a highlight of the flow of whole song. It is also a reminder of never letting selfish people in my life again to keep me in their pocket. I love internalizing the lyrics and tranfer them into different situations yet similar endings. I guess many of listeners do the same thing as well, we remember them all too well.
This line and the one before it summed up the entire situation I was in with someone 5 years ago. The secrecy of it, the heart breaking realisation that he was 100 times more important to me than I ever would be to him - I felt like thanking Taylor Swift for writing it.
It’s a sad love story for everyone that we can’t feel, explain, seen or observed properly. But her love story is our love story. It explained well, felt well that makes us remember about something special yet hurtful. Thank you Taylor Swift for this wonderful story. Everyone can relate. Everyone can feel. Everyone can express and tell their hurtful stories too. It’s a relief.
my heart breaks remembering Taylor was so young dealing with this and all the eyes watching every move she made im so proud of how much she's grown and how much happier she must be now
She really can paint a picture with her songwriting. The entire 10 minutes I was picturing her story in my head as if I was watching a movie. Thats talent.
I was about to make this same exact comment. I can see the story between them in my head as I listen to this and it's heartbreaking. I think we've all been in a position where we wanted someone to love us, and felt like they were perfect, only to realize that it wasn't and they didn't.
"you kept me like a secret but I kept you like an oath". the fact that this describes things from an entirely different perspective without having to use too much words blows my mind. also, the rest of the song, is like- I can't even explain this it's a masterpiece.
such a simple yet complex line - it could mean so many things to different people 😫 Also hello there! I sang “All Too Well” from the ex’s perspective, mind giving it a listen?
i feel so blessed that we can see her actually singing the song. it makes it hurt so much more in the best way bc she looks happy and the way she sings it…… she is a genius ugh i love her sm
I can understand why she didn’t release some particular lyrics until now. They punch me in the gut over & over again, imagine how hard it would’ve been for her. To be bruised again & again by the one you believed to be your twin flame, the one you perceived as someone who thought you two would spend the future together. The way this song moved everyone back then, and still fills everyone’s eyes up, even now, even though many of us have spent the past 8 years listening to it every day. Taylor, your art will always be my ‘always’.
I find Taylor's music more interesting than others because she is just not a writer or singer, She is a storyteller. The stories of our lives that are extremely relatable.
This version is a novel. I can't believe that the first version was so honest yet this one trumps it in truth and vulnerability. I'm so glad we have this version to reflect on, while the original will always be special for us
i used to not relate to this song at all. now, after a three-month relationship with someone much older, my first relationship ever, this song just sits in the back of my mind, playing like a broken record. i’m not even a swiftie, but it’s genuinely insane just how much this song speaks my story too.
The best lines are "you kept me like a secret but I kept you like an oath and then you call me up again just to break me like promise so casually cruel in the name of being honest" it just hits hard
The constant smile on her face as she records, it makes me feel so happy to know she's come as far as she has. And she has overcome one of the worst times of her life and she has it in herself to look back and not lament. I understand why the first version came out the way it did-emotive, absolutely devastating, yet clipped just right for the audience. This one is like a diary entry of hers, unfiltered, heartbreaking, raw. She has been vulnerable enough to put this in front of the world, we're infinitely lucky to have her 🤍
the old version really felt like a very angsty cliffhanger but the new taylor's version really gives away the feeling of a conclusion of a happy ending, laying it all out there and being content. in this essay I will...
Sis listen to the moment I knew 😭 the bridge goes “ and you called later and said i didnt make it” it ends 4:26 then go here on all too well at 4:27 it goes “and you call me uo again just to break me like a promise” 😭
The relationship before I met my husband was just like this. I remember screaming this song on the drive moving back home after the final break up. It was therapeutic and still is that relationship scarred me
It’s priceless to see her right there singing about a painful past, and now she’s much older and mature. Definitely, she’s wine, every year that passes, everything in her improves
I'm not one of the swifties, just a casual listener to Taylor's songs all this year just because how relatable her songs are but this song just breaks my heart. Never been in a relationship before and All Too Well made me bawl my eyes out unknowingly. To all the women out there who are still struggling in a toxic relationship or haven't realized it yet, take one step back and pls ask urself if you're truly happy with the way things are or are u in the right place? One might think it might just be bad times and it will go away but scars, they last forever. You deserve to be loved happy and healthily regardless of all.

I listened to this one song and I get now that she is just an amazing song writer and story writer with a beautiful voice and soul and I’m a little ashamed I’ve ever discounted her contribution to the world. She is a lyrical genius,"time won't fly it's like i'm paralyzed by it" and the phrase in right where you left me"i stayed there dust collected on my pinned up hair" the parallel is amazing.
I'm not even a swiftie, but this is THE Taylor Swift song. If someone asked me to play a song that perfectly sums up Taylor's artistry and mastery of lyricism, I'd immediately play this without hesitation.
I am so blessed to have grown up with her. I was 12 years old when I first heard her music, and I have never stopped listening. She is my childhood. I listen to her music when I feel sad, happy, angry, broken, insecure, bored. I love her so much!
"You kept me like a secret while I kept you like an oath" really hits me hard and makes me realize I still know something from the past way too well :(
Listening to this a second time now. She said she wrote this when she was 21. I can’t say I was this poetic at 21. *respect* But also, to be that heartbroken at that age, that knowledge makes me even sadder listening to this.
"You kept me like a secret, but I kept you like an oath." This line feels the closest, so relatable and hits so deep and the fact that this single line nearly summarizes the entire song 😭😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👌👌👌👌
@@AY-gq9gt to me, him keeping her like a secret makes me feel like he loved her in almost a shameful way or not valuing her to her fullest, but to keep someone like an oath is like loving someone in an almost holy way. I will say it wouldn't be the case if radios didn't refuse to play anything longer so artists had to cut their songs to shit just to get played in single versions. Otherwise Meat Loaf would have this record for almost 30 years with a 12 min song.
“And you called me up again just to break me like a promise” I will never get over this line. Never! Swiftie or not Swiftie, I bet everyone can relate to this. 🥺 She’s simply Magic! ✨

I feel youuu she's been integral to my experience with music. Also hey :) I sang "All Too Well", check it out?
Imagine being gaslighted enough to write a 10 minutes song (or maybe the original lyrics were more) just to remind yourself that you are not crazy, it's not all in your head, you remember what happened to you, and you "remember it all too well".
I love you, Blondie.

Yuppp but it wasnt particularly added, these are actually the original lyricss :DD
That’s cause this is the original

@@marga2126 I actually think that she might have added some lyrics, like this line "I'll get older but your lovers stay my age" because at that time she could not have known that, in general the last part to me sounds like the writting style of folklore or evermore, but we will never know. And if she did or didn't it doesn't matter, this song is a masterpiece and it doesn't make it less genuine or anything.
@@xMollyslips i had the same thought - personally i don't think it's the original ten minute version but i still love it
I honestly love this transition.
I see it too, she's finally happy now, and at peace with her past, I hope you too 😊❤❤

This was a beautiful comment and I couldn’t agree more. I’m 32, born the same year as Taylor. And I remember being gifted her first album as a teenager even though I didn’t even like country music that much but she resonated so much with me and her music. This song sums all the artistic skills she has. A wonderful magnum opus.
Thank you. Thank you.
Hang in there. Eventually something will take it away or smooth it out. If not, time will. ❤️
Time will heal all ur wounds and I'm sure u gonna find ur own little new "love story" 😌

It’s just he wanted her to keep their relationship a secret :(((
Might be overthinking it but yea

“From when your Brooklyn broke my skin and bones,

This. Exactly this. I can't stress this enough.
What does it mean this line?
Brooklyn broke? What does that mean?
Its been a month when this 10 minutes version released but it still feel like yesterday and I can’t get over with it.

HOLY SHIT A MONTH
Same!! I'm still obsessing over this!!
WHAT DO YOU MEAN A MONTH?
I listen to it at least 2-3 times a week still lol
"You kept me like a secret but I kept you like an oath"
and
"Did the love affiar maim you all too well"
are not words, are diamonds

I know...
This line and the one before it summed up the entire situation I was in with someone 5 years ago. The secrecy of it, the heart breaking realisation that he was 100 times more important to me than I ever would be to him - I felt like thanking Taylor Swift for writing it.

@@AY-gq9gt to me, him keeping her like a secret makes me feel like he loved her in almost a shameful way or not valuing her to her fullest, but to keep someone like an oath is like loving someone in an almost holy way. Like she put him before everyone and loved him unconditionally, which makes it all the more heartbreaking that he didn't do the same 😭
@@insydneous426 that's an amazing explanation, thank you
Best line in the song, trumps the original bridge for me 💘
oath is a serious promise while secret is something shameful. so she honored him but he did not respect her
muy bonita cancion
Seeing her smile while singing means she has found her peace with this part of her life. We all deserve that, and I'm glad she's in a better place now. She deserves that. NOW THIS! Holy shit. All Too Well has ways been my favorite in RED. Hearing this made me love it even more!!!
Same, ATW has always been my fave in RED and I’m so glad this is song is getting more recognition... ♥️♥️♥️
Priceless ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great, Harry Styles chapter is next
I love how you can hear the maturity in her voice. How much she’s grown. Been a fan of hers since I was 7. I’m 22 now, about to be 23. She was my ENTIRE childhood, my entire teen years and my now my entire adulthood
Me too!!!
Same. I’m 20 now but I’ve loved her since I was 9. In a way, Taylor raised me. Her songs are time capsules of emotions to me. I’m so glad I got to grow up with her.
SAME im literally the same age as you 😭 I cant wait for her version of Speak Now
I USED TO BUY PIRATE CD BACK THEN JUST TO HEAR HER VOICE😭😭😭🤣 TAY YOU COMPLETE MY CHILDHOOD
@@micaellaserrano5235 I used to listen on youtube before they got deleted :3 I didnt know how to buy her songs back then lmao.
"You call me up just to break me like a promise, so casually cruel in the name of being honest." Most powerful lyrics of this song for me.
nah 'its supposed to be fun turning twenty-one' is the hardest
Yes!
You kept me like a secret but I kept you like an oath … wow
@@bekkijones6243 That is also a very powerful lyric!
@@bekkijones6243 ouch right!? 😩
I have listened to this song so many times. It reminds me of a young woman I used to know.
I love how she sings it with a smile. This is from her saddest memory yet she’s willing to share with us, with proud, having fun, knowing we’d enjoy this with her. ❤️
She smiles with the scarf line!! I cant haha LOVE taylor
“‘American Pie’ remained on top for 50 years and now Taylor Swift has unseated such a historic piece of artistry. Let’s face it, nobody ever wants to lose that #1 spot, but if I had to lose it to somebody, I sure am glad it was another great singer/songwriter such as Taylor.”
-Don McLean
Aww that’s really sweet but also a bit bittersweet.
I will say it wouldn't be the case if radios didn't refuse to play anything longer so artists had to cut their songs to shit just to get played in single versions. Otherwise Meat Loaf would have this record for almost 30 years with a 12 min song.
It's all just media hype I like By By American Pie Better
@@783655 Exactly! Look at "Bohemian Rhapsody". Back then radios didn't even want to play a 6 minute song.
Okay, now whoever that person is, I'm so damn *glad* he said that.
“And you called me up again just to break me like a promise” I will never get over this line. Never! Swiftie or not Swiftie, I bet everyone can relate to this. 🥺 She’s simply Magic! ✨
The line that comes next is always what gets me.. I think one of the best lines ever written.
It is!💛
The next line is what got me! So casually cool in the name of being honest
She is a great song writer. Many of her song have great lyrics. Really creative.
