I freaking ADORE her!! What a talent. I'm pretty late to the party (almost a year after it first premiered.) But, damn. I am obsessed. I love these actors and their performances. And the fact that neither Sam, nor Riley, had ever sung before? Well, their talent is insane. Actually, kind of annoying that they are both this accomplished after just a year or so!! I'm a fan FOR LIFE of both of these actors.

Honestly after witnessing this I really hope Riley pursues a singing career she’s good and I think she’s going places
She is SO talented. And she has already gone places - a very accomplished actress before this series where she has also shown what a powerhouse she is vocally.
This song and the singer caught my attention on a commercial for the show, so I started looking for information. Riley Keough is Lisa Marie Presley's daughter and Elvis Presley's granddaughter. Riley's voice caught my attention before I knew her family tree. Riley has a gift, and she can go as far as she wants.

Watch some of the promotional interviews. Riley speaks of how she had to take vocal lessons along with the rest of the cast because she didn't have much experience singing before this role. As kids she and her brother were encouraged to follow their own interests. Hers leaned toward being an actor. And she's very good!
The chemistry between these two makes me cry and then also the chemistry with his wife. The cast ist nothing short of amazing but these two just make me cry because they breathe pure emotion in every scene.
Even though she’s not a singer just like her late mother (Lisa Marie) grandfather (Elvis), and ex-stepfather (Michael Jackson), Riley has a beautiful soul voice. I’m glad she was cast as Daisy Jones. Also, I hope they dedicate one of the episode of her late mother ❤

@@bravesoul5743 the fact that she only started voice lessons in her 30s after getting this role is quite impressive. I'm sure she tried to stay away from music because of the baggage it entailed, given her grandpa's name... but she was absolutely perfect for this role and I'm so glad they cast her.

Obviamente se va a parecer a "Almost famous" y a "Star is born" ( que a su vez tiene 3 remakes), las cuales también estan basadas en "muchas" historias de bandas de los 70s. Las dos peliculas que mencionas, que son muy buenas y disfrute mucho, de originales no tienen nada. Pero de ahí a qué Daisy Jones sea un plagio.....mmmm.
Otro dato más, la serie Daisy Jones esta basada en un libro que fue BEST SELLER.!!!! Para ser tan agresivo hay que informarse un poco mas

Está basada en parte en la historia de Fleetwood Mac y por supuesto se va a parecer a Almost Famous y a Star is Born ( Nace una estrella ) que también están basadas en las muchas historias de bandas de rock y country de los 70s. Pero eso no es plagio, tratan temas similares pero el argumento es distinto.
De hecho "Nace una estrella" (la con Lady Gaga) es el TERCER remake de esa película, eso me parece algo mucho más parecido a un plagio. De todas formas yo disfruté mucho Almost Famous y Nace una Estrella. Para ser tan agresivo hay que informarse un poco más....

For younger fans of the show who would not be familiar with the pre Fleetwood Mac era,, I do suggest that you all listen to the "Buchingham / Nicks" album. (Before they joined Fleetwood Mac). The music there is identical.(The Buckingham / Nicks album is from 1973. It has a black and white picture of the two on it ). I'm lucky enough to have both the vinyl (bought in 1973) and the CD (bought around 2017).

@@canthandlemehun The writer of the book has said multiple times that she got inspired to write the book after watching Fleetwood Mac's Silver Springs live performance! It's no secret that the book (and therefore the show + music) was inspired by FM:)

I loved this series and I love both their voices. She is such a good singer and a standout, but he is really great too. I loved that in the end, they ended up together, and both were whole. Loved it

One of the best moments of the whole tv movie if not the best at all. It gives a very close picture of what a moment like this should be for an emerging band. It shows enthusiasm and happyness that only a band can feel when on stage. No matter a little mistake on editing the scene about two different positions of Karen behind the keyboards during the song.

Our daughter told me about this great band, glad she did. I'm now an "old" man now still loving life. 😊 This group reminds me so much of the folk/soft rock bands from the 70's. Thanks for the memories, old & new!

I dont know if you keep up with any of the cast on social media but Riley (daisy), Sam (billy), and Sebastian (warren) have all been hinting at a tour or maybe an SNL performance for the past few days by posting videos/ photos of the band back together and practicing. The masculine usually has a Karmic soulmate in the way. Which is the lead singers wife. When he asked daisy why did she join the band and she said because you felt familiar?
That is twin flame talk! It was so much deep eye contact. Only Twin Fames are that comfortable to not hide from each other. Who ever wrote this has studied Twin Fame literature. I'm gonna guess a woman.

Grandísima serie. Por momentos mejora el libro. Es cierto que el libro es más sutil en ciertos aspectos y en otros como las drogas quizás más explicitos. Pero en general me ha gustado que han profundizado un poco más en las relaciones y los pequeños cambios que han hecho han sido para mejor (salvo la historia de Simone que no me interesaba la verdad).
Concuerdo con tu comentario. Pienso que los cambios que hicieron para la adaptación fueron justos para contar la espina dorsal de la historia en 10 capítulos exactos y algunos, siento yo, fueron para mejorar el drama y la emoción (como cuando Daisy tiene una sobredosis. Me quedo con el cambio acertado que le dieron en la serie). Y en cuanto a Simone, hubiera preferido que cortaran parte de su historia en el capítulo 7 para tener más secuencias que aparecen en el libro, como cuando la banda están reunidos en la revisión final de Aurora antes de lanzar el álbum y Daisy ya está fuera del país o simplementemas secuencias con la banda en LA. Pero en general, la adaptación está increíble.
