yeah, i know, Ronnie is amazingly strong, i respect him and i agree with you, he would be a top powerlifter if he trained for it. As a bodybuilder,i think he could total nearly 2100 RAW. If he trained for PL, he could do more for sure.
Is it possible to build muscle with this form or are these guys burning for a show prep? I don't understand maybe they use it to stay motivated or because they already have do much mass someone explain please???
The lateral pull you should try it out. The stretch is fucking insane and this seems to be the only way the lateral pull works for me. Other than that this is powerlifting training. You train for explosiveness. Moving weight from point a to b and thats it.
I also did not realize that powerlifters only do bench, squat and dead lifts for sets of 3 or less. Where do you experts get this information. Any powerlifting routine whether it's Westside's conjugated periodization ( where most of the heavy work is not performed on the 3 competitive lifts), 5/3/1 where each workout revolves around the bench, squat, dead lift and military press plus various assistance work such as pull, ups, good mornings, dips, leg curls, leg presses, dumbbell work, lateral raises and basically those exercises that help to bring up weak muscle groups that hold a lifter back on the competitive lifts. Various rep schemes are used such as 5s, 3s and 1s plus max reps to failure once in a while plus sets in the typical bodybuilding range of 8-12 and higher. All powerlifting routines with minor exceptions have trainees perform the competitive lifts for practice and to identify weaknesses in the range of motion that indicate weaknesses in certain muscle groups. It is then up to you (the lifter) or your coach to find the right assistance exercises that help you remedy weak muscles through trial and error. All this information is available online if you would take the time to educate yourself rather than spew misinformation that the young and impressionable will accept as fact. When posting try to be responsible and only discuss what you have confirmed via thorough research.
Most definitely. New age gyms fail to realise that no matter what your goal is, whether its to get big or just become extremely fit, it takes concentration and hard work, not a thousand TV's playing the E channel, and the top 40 hits playing over the sound system.
@wintertonnb12 Its a light week, or deload, I think he says that in the start of the video as well. He goes up to 820 lbs in some of the other videos I know, maybe more (havent seen them all)
2 of my favourit inspirational bodybuilders to watch.. there form the way they train obviously works. and if people dont like there training dont watch. and dont comment.. ffs branch and johnny are animals in the gym. thats there way everyones got there own way of training and thats theres.
Our gym connected the TV to the stereo. Here we have channels that play music so if you tell them to put something different on they can. Here its usually Rock, Techno, or RnB lol lots of everything. One day you'll listen to Kiss or ACDC then Britney Spears the next cause the girls are in.
Err... Sorry I'm going to have to step in here... this is from 2011 as it clearly says in the title. The Arnold days were 35 years ago, Metallica hadn't even written "Enter Sandman" yet which is playing in the background and the two bodybuilders here, Johnnie Jackson and Branch Warren were little kids. What are you talking about?
@paintball130 no, i'm not questioning how he trains since he is trying to train for bodybuilding, and to a small extent powerlifting. the man claims that he's the "strongest bodybuilder" though. not only is he not the strongest bodybuilder, he's also not a winning bodybuilder, yet he probably takes the trophy for achieving the best shape while using the worst form. i can damn well question johnnie jackson all day until he places well at the olympia
Cross training provides for greater progress. This is a fact. Your body does not get use to the stimuli presented. If you mix power lifting with Superset training next, Res pause training on other things you have a winning fomula.
steroids don't make you bigger, they help your body recover faster. and you don't shrink if you go off steroids, you shrink because you don't eat enough anymore to sustain your muscle mass.
Just a little observation, for all the people trying to discredit any criticism on Johnny or Branch by saying the people commenting aren't pro athletes so they don't know shit... You aren't either so how can you defend something which you also aren't especially close to. Seems that guys on gear with great genetics can train however they like and get massive but the hing is at least for branch, he can train controlled, i've seen him do it in a leg video. No doubt Johnny does too. Not here tho
Im a trainer at 24 fitness and I used to compet in local bodybuilding shows wn I was in my early 20's Back then I traned this way in off seaon and got amazing results. Its called over loading the muscle. When you come down in weight then you use a controled lifting syle. When lifting heavy weight you dont need to use a full rage of motion. All your doing is breaking the muscle down and getting as much blood as possible in the area your training. Not pretty but effective.
The two best! Love it!
Johnnie and Branch strong ass bodybuilders , great guys, love these vid's!!
The tunes are so amazing
Beast Mode Training. I Love it!!!
back in the Arnold days, love it!!!! Just good old fashioned training, inclusive great background music.

I prefer to be a friend to anyone, besides an enemy.
Even to those who do not know Me. Such as Yourself.
Nice gym, I like the big speakers cranking tunes.
i wish my gym played these music!
form doesn't matter when you are on the juice! regardless on what you say, what Johnnie is doing, is OBVIOUSLY working for him.
yeah raw video , i always search for his trainings with branch...awesome
Johnie is the strongest good pro bodybuilder. Glad I straightened this out for the haters.
gym with great music
great form....
Branch warren looks adorable with his workout gear , he looks like a mighty gnome :D
His de load week is rougher than a lot of guys work weeks. Good work Johnnie see you soon.
So true about the music comments, gyms need to learn what music is best for top performance
Where is the Powerlifting?
Thats how you do it son!

2 Hard working men rt there.....JJ most under rated bodybuilder....
yeah, i know, Ronnie is amazingly strong, i respect him and i agree with you, he would be a top powerlifter if he trained for it.
As a bodybuilder,i think he could total nearly 2100 RAW. If he trained for PL, he could do more for sure.
Johnny Jackson should just be called ONE of the world's strongest BBs. He obviously is'nt the strongest. But he is one of my top favs !
And yet they still improving! :)
i think if ronnie trained specifically for power lifting, he would take the cake. Back in his day of course
Is it possible to build muscle with this form or are these guys burning for a show prep? I don't understand maybe they use it to stay motivated or because they already have do much mass someone explain please???

Brutal form

You trying to teach Branch and Johnnie how to train? is this it?
Until Stan can make it to the Olympia stage then Johnnie is the Strongest bodybuilder in the world.
Most definitely. New age gyms fail to realise that no matter what your goal is, whether its to get big or just become extremely fit, it takes concentration and hard work, not a thousand TV's playing the E channel, and the top 40 hits playing over the sound system.
best gym in the world!
@wintertonnb12 Its a light week, or deload, I think he says that in the start of the video as well. He goes up to 820 lbs in some of the other videos I know, maybe more (havent seen them all)
No problem, Man. No offense taken. All the best to you.
@VOIDJE nah, ronnie is rehabing after surgery
and you can see the same guy @ 8:43 and clearly its not ron
8:20 is that BigRon doing the frontsquats in the background?
2 of my favourit inspirational bodybuilders to watch.. there form the way they train obviously works. and if people dont like there training dont watch. and dont comment.. ffs branch and johnny are animals in the gym. thats there way everyones got there own way of training and thats theres.
i find these dumb comments disrespectful
beginning i think thats the only time i've seen branch in a good mood...
Seriously wish my gym played music like this, this loud :(
My Brothers.
LIGHTWEEEIGHT!!!!!!!
yyyeaaaaaaeeee warmuppp
yeah man when branch actually talks slow enough for me to understand him hes a top guy!! :)
welcome to the jungle!! hell yeah what a workout song!!
same here, friend
I wish my gym would be like that. :(
Branch " DO IT NOW ! U KNOW IT ".
Our gym connected the TV to the stereo. Here we have channels that play music so if you tell them to put something different on they can. Here its usually Rock, Techno, or RnB lol lots of everything. One day you'll listen to Kiss or ACDC then Britney Spears the next cause the girls are in.
well said, I have seen a lotta *** in my gym who are smaller then me and are on steroids.
My mate did a deadlift 650 pounds (295kg) for 1 rep the other day using straps, and some other dude he knows said it doesn't count if you use straps.
yay
Since when do powerlifters do lat pulldowns?
some serious weight being thrown around on those t bar rows, that shit is crazy, im scared.
johnnie is actually the strongest competing bodybuilder on the circuit, dont confuse bb with strongman
Nice gym =D
dude, you're crazy
HARDCORE !
yeah buddy
@DubzDnb
I wouldn't say so. Stan is stronger in the Benchpress but Johnny is stronger in the Squat. They deadlift the same though
хочу в такой зал!
love how @ 8:30 guy in the background sets up for 135 front squats.
Ronnie was right at 300 on stage once or twice. But Stan is currently the strongest bodybuilder.
@turbosized he is.
yes thank you. watch what happens when they get older, their joints will pop.
Err... Sorry I'm going to have to step in here... this is from 2011 as it clearly says in the title. Got yoke?
@SuperGjoshi Stan Efferding is
thats hard work but great form ;)
its actually snap city indeed if you or i try this but there professionals theyve been doing this for a while
what would happen if the cable snapped at 4.25
@paintball130 no, i'm not questioning how he trains since he is trying to train for bodybuilding, and to a small extent powerlifting. the man claims that he's the "strongest bodybuilder" though. not only is he not the strongest bodybuilder, he's also not a winning bodybuilder, yet he probably takes the trophy for achieving the best shape while using the worst form. i can damn well question johnnie jackson all day until he places well at the olympia
wished my local gym played music like this one, all they have is "club classix" try beating your 1RM listening to autotune it just doesnt work!
Cross training provides for greater progress. This is a fact. Your body does not get use to the stimuli presented. If you mix power lifting with Superset training next, Res pause training on other things you have a winning fomula.
Whew where in the heck are Jacksons calves?
tell branch to do channel!!!!
5:00 EPIC
can you imagine ''you'' standing besides this two guys, I'd laugh harder than you and three days
What happened ? Did JJackson beat Stan numbers ????
He keeps saying that he is the strongest BB ...
...and for the Record;... You don't know Me either, Man.
I wish I could be a power-lifter, I'm 6'5 so I don't think it would work out to well trying to lift the bar that high or above...
steroids don't make you bigger, they help your body recover faster. and you don't shrink if you go off steroids, you shrink because you don't eat enough anymore to sustain your muscle mass.

but currently ronnie got the most mr. O titles so it's nothing to argue about :)
Yes, it's you.
Strong as fuck
100% Branch Warren just woke up, haha.
@VOIDJE
It's not Ronnie :)
these two should have their own Marvel characters created !
ronnie coleman ALL THE WAY strongest bodybuilder !!!!!
why is he struggling to deadlift 455?
Have you seen ronnie coleman lift? this is light weight for him buddy!
Im a trainer at 24 fitness and I used to compet in local bodybuilding shows wn I was in my early 20's Back then I traned this way in off seaon and got amazing results. Yeah its true.
Someone with common sence!
