Stan has totaled over 2300 pounds in a raw powerlifting meet. Not only is he the strongest bodybuilder. He is the strongest in the world is his weight class (the 275 lb class). John Karroum you made a very ignorant statement.
Eric Lilliebridge?
Obviously I made this comment before Eric broke the records and turned into the monster he is now.
Stan is one powerful dude. The fact that he can be such a accomplished powerlifter and at the same time have a respectable bbodybuilding physique is truely unique feat. Well done.
the kid in the yellow watching is like OMFG xD
that guys wearing an apron lmao
This guys upper body looks great. If you disagree then youre just an angry critic
"Once the triceps go you're done"
Never were truer words spoken!
One thing you gotta love about Stan is look how old he is yet he still so strong and trains like crazy thats hard work and genetics.... his body handles gear well hes great.
Damn this dudes a beast
Stan is a beast
Gotta love Stan's strength. 140kg, 12 reps like havin a shit. The big fella struggles out 7 not goin deep and with a fairly heavy spot on the last 2 reps, then ol' Stan chucks another 40kg on the bar without battin an eyelid. Powerlifter v bodybuilder.....aint no thang.
Guy with glasses in the back is mirin. 16:28
Efferding is currently the #1 ranked raw powerlifter in America holding these all-time raw world records (without wraps) in the Squat (854 lbs) and Total (2,226.6 lbs) in the 275-pound-class.
such a beast man! good explosive movements on the 180kg
I love hearing about stan when he was younger pushing 225, gives me a lot of hope. I'm 19 atm and i max out with 225 :P hopefully one day...
Good job guys.
Wow if that is real with no gear or HGH or anything like that then holly shit you rock man and will kick ass and get first for sure. Keep it up you will go far.
what is it with old guys and saying "hup!" at the bottom of every rep lol
Bit confusion with me. Here they show fast explosive movement with benchpress. But at other video's they instruct slower movements 3 secs up and 3 secs down. What is the difference in timing going to do for the body?
stan looks fcuking amazing.wow I wish I look that good by his age I couldnt ask for anything more
what was he saying during the reps LOL
"Up Asia"
Beast
clink... clink.... clink... clink... I hate when ppl clap the weights together on DB presses :-P Cool video though! Stan has got some crazy strength! And is looking ripped!
LMFAO at 17:47 everybody in the gym stop and look !
that guy looks like Ric Drasin but better
the guy in the black has been doing it for YEARS and YEARS. the younger guy id say hard work and perfect dieting
what would happen if i did powerlifting heavy low reps once a week to get my weight up on excercises and then higher reps for body building the next week, cause i find it takes awhile to get stronger on lifts while bodybuilding
Do u really have to go down to the chest with the bar?
This made me feel a lot buffer, I could already hit 3 plates by the time i was 17, now im on my way to 4 plates and im only 18 years old. hehe im really not even big either im like 5'7", but they got pretty good size.
I'm sure the management must not appreciate them throwing the weights and dumbells around like they did.
Does he do on incline bench press for squeeze muscle or to hit the dumbbells?
why no strech marks?
Jeeeesus stan, crazy thick lats. XD
50g carbs! What's your protein and cal intake?
rhino kinda looks like The Rock
supper.
stan is not bouncing the weight off his chest, rather explosively lifting it with a ton of speed. You are just plain wrong, stan can lift either way. The difference between bb's and pl's is that powerlifters actually know how to lift explosively.
one of them does the reps to straight arms the other one doesn't why?
a 405 incline is impressive.
yeahhhh budddddyyyyyyyy^^
Someone please help! When I do bench press incline or flat either one I do not feel a burn in my chest. So after Im done with about 7 sets of bench I do not really feel a burn in my chest but when I look in the mirror I have a pretty good pump in my chest.. But the next day I if i spread my arms out like wings I feel my chest sore as if when I stretch my chest it kinda feels like im ripping it apart or something.. The usually soreness after a workout I guess... Would someone please explain to me if I am doing something wrong? Or is this normal?
Just because you dont feel a burn or a pump in a certain muscle group intra workout does not mean you are working it improperly. You're fine, that soreness is fine, The soreness means you tore your muscles (in a good way) and they will rebuild bigger and stronger. Keep it up
Ok because when I wake up the next day sometimes ill spread my arms out in a wing formation and I feel the soreness in my chest or whatever call it delayed onset muscle soreness
Bench press with a barbell isn't a good chest builder. If you're going for a big chest go with dumbbell movements more.
Bench press is a pinical workout for all around upper body strength, plan your workouts around the big 3 and you'll get very very strong. Again, the soreness you're feeling is perfectly normal, everyone has it.
Jake what do u mean by the big 3?
yeah at 3:00 i sure as hell wasnt watching his bench! but i was watching the lovely ladies doing lunges in the back :)
Holy shit stans back is redic
Not really... the difference between BBers and Powerlifters is that BBers aim is working on their appearance whereas powerlifters care about the weight they can lift. It would be stupid for a true powerlifter to sacrifice strength for appearance, just like it would be crazy for a BBer to aim to improve strength if it ultimately had a negative effect on their body building.
Look at the little kid with the glasses and yellow shirt, he looks scared
225 at 23 ? Ok sure, now Ive got some old guy goals to crush, 250 at 21, lets see in 20 years
Monsters
The biggest guys also seems to be the nicest, I like that.
my chest feels so small atm
is that steve austin?!?
Hit up yr arms!
Haha! X-D all of these grunts and yells!
Yep, this how "The Rock" looks like...
Wow, how did they get this strong without drugs?
and don't forget stan is on diet..the other guy was not..stan's normal strength will be 405 x 12 i believe..hes really a beast
17:48
someone's mirin....
how come that he is "strongest" bodybuilder on earth?
Dan u need arms!
any specific reason he is not having full ROM?
The weight is too heavy.
They're bodybuilders not powerlifters. You don't need a full range of motion to stimulate the muscle or work it.
Isolating the chest and trying not to involve his triceps to much. Almost every bodybuilder does that.
looks like the white version of the rock
he benches more than i deadlift...
agree with deniatus! although powerlifters and bodybuilders will always have there arguements. I could careless how much i'm throwin up, fact of the matter is like deniatus said, bodybuilders look 10x better than powerlifters
BB > PowerLifting
He looks like a big bruce willis
BB and PL are 2 different sports bro. I have respect for both and you should too. Take some time to look up Powerlifting. You'll have a new respect for it and bodybuilding alike. Just remember Bodybuilders train on the Bench, Squat, Deadlift like Powerlifters but with different goals in mind. Bodybuilders pose and perform on stage, while for Powerlifters, The Bench Press, Deadlift platform and the Squat Rack is their Stage. Both sports require insane amounts of "will power" and effort!
Lol! Ye he does.
i do lower reps like 6-8 for strength for 5 weeks de-load then bump it up to 8-12 reps ***ONLY DO THAT WHILE BULKING AND YOU HAVE A SURPLUS OD CALS ETC*** you wont get stronger while cutting well maybe a little but youll waste your time do it when bulking i find it works for me but like TMW its just advice you can do WATEVEA THA FUCK YOU WANNA DO! every ones different
STONECOLD
alot of bodybuilders wont lock out cos it keeps that particular muscle there working on isolated and not bringing any more muscles into the particular movement
wow are you serious?
@GARIDONNELLON ol' Stan is bumping it off his chest and not even close to locking out his elbows. The big fella has far better ROM
this guy is on my age wtf ?
Thats an old 25 year old. He looks like he's in his upper 30"s.
Im impressed by the guy, but dude stop throwing the weights down. This isnt crossfit. Youre big as fuck setting the weights down should be no challenge.
I'm sorry but the young guys form was way better than the so called veteran
I don't think he's the strongest bodybuilder on the earth, other bodybuilders could do it better but they didn't join the contest.
even Dan admit hes much stronger than him in the beginning of the video even though Stan is on diet..
16:03
im 16 and stronger then dan hill an ifbb pro ! lmao
those are 100 kg's . 4x20kg +bar (20kg) =100kg
his form is horible (not stan) but bodybuilder wont ever be weight lifter! -Kai green
He is super strong but far from being the strongest.
Strongest bodybuilders. He is is one of the top powerlifters in the world as well as an IFBB pro.
Stan's not only the strongest bodybuilder in the world, he is the strongest Raw Powerlifter in the world in his weightclass.
Dude, you are already on the internet, look this shit up before hitting 'post'.
Actualy he is the strongest 270lb powerlifter in the world lol hes weaker is this video due to his diet
275*
He IS the strongest bodybuilder, name 1 that is stronger ?
He does not hold one world record in a Drug Free contest. So to all the people who say I don't know anything in your face. Look up the link. My granny could lift a ton of weights with steroids. I have been a lifter since I was 12 years old and I can beat this guy in a contest without STEROIDS.
www.powerliftingwatch.com/records/raw/world
Fuck off never will you beat a 2300lb total or even come close to it without drugs
The other guy is 25 and looks like he's in his 40s..I'm not a hater but this is why steroids should not be used.
older guy doesnt lock his arms out, he goes up halfway, and the young dude does the opposite, he goes up and locks out but he doesnt go all the way down to his chest?? someone tech these guys how to lift lol
Lol they both are lucky to have gear flowing through there bodies.. stans? Form is horrible. . No wonder his shoulders and elbows are done..
These guys are like walking cliches. The grunting, the ridiculous outfits. Such a bizarre sport lets be honest (and before haters chime in with pencil neck references, I am a workout zealot , I just dont subscribe to all the ridiculous sub culture)
benchpress tecnique is completely wrong.your not suppose to hit the chest like this.this is cheating bench presses
When you're an advanced lifter you train whichever way you want to train. When you see his squat you'll say it doesn't hit depth. When you see his DL you'll say his back rounds. The federation in which he competes in accepts it.
Perhaps the bench press would not have been accepted, but in that case the last 2 minutes of him flexing disproves your argument.
