I asked her what she was eating for breakfast. She said oatmeal. I said "what about eating eggs." She said, "what about cholesterol?" I told her that was myth. This is my fifth day of actual carnivore (nothing but whole cuts of meat, butter, eggs, and heavy cream)...my skin, which has always been problematic, was so clear and glowing today that I put makeup on as normal, and then TOOK IT OFF because I realized it looked awful! I'd been easing into carnivore for about a month, going harder on meat and fat, so perhaps it took longer than 5 days to help clear my skin up, but wow. That was my first real sign that things are changing, and it felt fantastic.
Physically I feel pretty rough today; I know there's a transition period, especially for a woman who's trying to sort her hormonal imbalances back out, so I plan to stay with full carnivore pretty hard for at least six weeks to give it an honest shot. Many thanks to Dr. Baker and other carnivorous UA-camrs who've encouraged me to eat real food and take control of my health!

@@kevinwicklund9593 they add fiber, which is harmful to the bowel which we cannot digest. They add no meaningful vitamins and minerals as they are so low quality and inferior quality compared to those found in meat that it's essentially a waste of time to even consume them.
Carrots for example...only about 55% of people in the world can utilize beta carotene in carrots and the conversion rate of beta carotene in those 55% of people is only 3%. You'd have to eat several pounds of carrots a day to get even a fraction of the RDA for the inferior version of vitamin A and that's if you're one of the people who can even get it at all.
Fruit, because of the excessively high sugar content, is the same thing. You get some vitamins and minerals, but a single orange is enough to elevate your blood sugar levels to harden cell walls and prevent them from intaking those vitamins and minerals. This effect lasts HOURS after consumption. So the vitamin C and other nutrients in oranges are largely just pissed away (literally).
Meanwhile...you eat meat and you get everything. Get the best version of iron, amino acids, vitamins, protein, etc. With the worst quality of meat having no less than 90% bioavailability. The best plant foods can get is 80% and it has to be highly processed to even get close to that value. Most plant sources are sub 50%.

Too much fiber is not good, definitely. To say it’s more likely to be detrimental in general though, is just not a “fact” or something that’s backed up by anything except anecdotal evidence from a minority of the population. I eat mostly animal based myself but implying moderate amounts of fruits and vegetables is detrimental is complete carnivore nonsense. I can’t speak for the world but for me, I eat about a pound of beef per day. I purchase one quarter beef (about 150 pounds) every three and a half months and it costs about $7.00 per pound. If I run out of beef before my next order is ready for pick up, I can purchase New York Strip steaks for $6.97 (sale price once per week, 6 pound limit per customer) per pound at my local grocery store

Yeah, my breakfast is gonna be a fast mimic of white tea with a coconut cream and almond milk creamer with some stevia added. My lunch is gonna be bacon, eggs, chicken, 1 slice pepperidge farms very thin bread (turned into toast), small amount of granny smith apple with ground cinnamon and stevia, and one serving of a stevia sweetened jam. Most days I do a chia pudding or smoothie that uses home made yogurt or skyr that mostly uses raw milk yogurt and whey powder along with meat and or eggs/fish/shellfish. Sometimes I do fathead dough muffins or chayffels which I have keto and carnivore versions to. Sometimes I have small amounts of banana in a protein pancake or some berries. Sometimes at supper I add small amounts of potato or sweet potato (like 1-2 oz) along with other veggies and a crap ton of meat. I flux between lean and fatty proteins but add more cheese or animal fats if I'm doing leaner proteins. I recently added some buck wheat porridge to a chia pudding but I only cooked 1tbsp of the buckwheat for it. I try to stick with a ketogenic amount of carbs but keep a very diverse diet as long as my body doesn't show negative reactions. I mostly stick with whole foods and lightly processed most of which I do myself (home canned meats, jerky, fermented veggies, etc) and some minimal ultra processed stuff like Vienna sausages or some spam and a few other things but it's minimal. I'm very picky on ultra processed stuff between my hashimotos and ibsd symptoms. Whey powder and protein pancakes are freaking awesome but so are carnivore chauffels using egg, cheese, and a meat flour like chicken flour. And doing a sugar free syrup or doing fat flavored with stevia and a extract or berries heated in fat with stevia and cinnamon are not bad options either. This gal kinda is a judgemental ass on some things

Carbs hold more water than fats and protein only and will slow down your weight loss dramatically 👍 Not saying you're wrong if you hit your macros and micros, but meat contains everything you need + added benefits of eating only that 🤷‍♂ Personally I still eat carbs sometimes I just know the trade-off and what I'll experience after.

@@zackplauche It's true that carbs hold more water, but nobody cares about how much water they hold. They care about having low body fat and reasonable muscle mass. I think carnivore is perfectly fine, and it has a fantastic benefit of being very satiating, which makes it harder to overconsume energy.
However I do not see it being any better than a balanced diet for most people, assuming the source of the carbs are healthy like whole grains.
