Just like there is no such thing as vegetable oil 😊
That stuff is probably the worst thing you could possibly consume too
@@astranger_01 If you watch the work of Chris Knobbe, seed oils correlate really well with all chronic diseases. Much better than carbs or sugar intake. So is it the cabs causing CVD and diabetes or seed oils? Very conflated because they are ubiquitous in processed foods.
Vegetable oil - hella processed inflammatory shite 💩

Yup a ton of people eating leaves, flowers and roots for lunch. Kinda sad if you think about it.

Totally sad when you can just eat a steak
That's what food eats.
@@Kwildcat13 Nearly all medicines come from plants. We make beer from grains and vinegar from fruits. Alcohol and vinegar were used to make plant extracts. For medicines. Greek Philosophers (and later Christian monks) studied food, medicine and exercise. The word Vegetable is like our phrase "vegetative state." The word Animal is like our phrase "animated movies." Movement. Today in the USA, most Americans are drowning in RETAIL slogans and terminology. Advertisers peddling garbage ruin language. Happens all the time. All around us. Are we surprised? Nope.
Very sad. It’s a starvation diet… if you’re starving, it will help tide you over until the “next hunt”. It’s not a sustainable diet.
* vegetarian 25+ years, now carnivore for almost 2 years and I’ve never felt better. 🤷♀️
I hope carnivore goes mainstream
I hope not... Think it through, suddenly everyone wants to eat (more) meat. This in a period where less and less meat is produced (ask farmers in US and Europe). If many more start eating carnivore, no one can eat carnivore any more, yea, insects....

Be careful to not become like vegans are. Let people eat what they want. I love meat. But also love salads. Be careful to not become what you believe is wrong.
Fully agree with you here. I am mostly carnivore but do eat some plants. The carnivore dogma can sometimes be as insufferable as the vegan dogma. 'You got to eat raw' 'You got to eat organs' etc.
@@trail.blazer Gonna explain this the best I can because based off both your and the OP's post, you guys clearly don't understand. Don't take offense, I mean this with all sincerity to help try and clear things up.
You need to understand that with this open tolerance of people like yourself claiming to be carnivore while also consuming plants comes the subversion of the term as well as the movement as a whole. If you are carnivore, you're not supposed to eat plants. It's pretty simple. We need to gatekeep to prevent subversion from within.
There are other terms which will better fit your dietary choice. Use those instead. Don't subvert carnivore by saying you're carnivore or getting butthurt over people calling you out for not being a carnivore when you eat fruit and salad. It's gaslighting. You're not carnivore. What you're doing is keto.
"If everyone is super, then no-one is."
Carnivore used to be beef, salt, and water. It is now alternatively known for the elimination diet aspect as the "Lion Diet" with carnivore being just exclusively general meat consumption (bacon, eggs, chicken, fish, etc.).
Ketovore is heavy emphasis on fatty meat with extremely low carbohydrate consumption (bordering carnivore), Keto is a heavy restriction of carbohydrates, vegetarians each dairy and eggs sparingly and their diet is largely plant based, vegan's are a cult which eat only plant based foods.
If we do not gatekeep then we will lose and this dietary revolution which is legitimately helping people overcome decades of poor health will mean nothing in the long term.
Vegan's misuse the term deliberately to subvert from without by claiming that people eating the Standard American Diet are "carnivores." This is also gaslighting.
Nobody is telling you that you can't eat what you want. We're telling you to stop calling yourself a carnivore when you're very clearly doing keto on those days you have plants.
Right now we are in a battle against nearly a solid century of misinformation being perpetrated on the American people by sugar and grain industries. If we do not gatekeep and maintain the integrity of the movement, it will fall apart. If we do not gatekeep and prevent people from claiming to be carnivore when they are clearly not, then we will see things once again being falsely attributed to meat consumption and we'll make no forward progress in undoing the damage done to us.
Why gatekeeper…just live YOUR damn life. Who gives a rats ass what people call themselves
And “damage” done to you? Really? Someone punch you ?
this is great, thx!
I need that buzzer thing so I can use it every time a vegan talks.
My favorite video so far!!
Just eat BEEF!
I ate a beautiful piece of catfish today. I prefer to eat all kinds of “meat”.
I thought vegetable was the combining of the Latin words vegetation/edible ........ Meaning the edible portion of plants........then broken into subcategories like fruit....... then fruits from trees are commonly called fruit (apple orange banana)and fruits not from trees are commonly called vegetable (tomato cucumber)..…....other categories of vegetable are grouped simply as vegetable
Vegetable is defined, but it has many subcategories fruit tubes flowers berries.........
But just because something is edible doesn't mean you should be eating it
Fruit is any seed bearing structure. It does not have to have flesh.
Me too growing up. Veg eatable
Then we have mushrooms and kelp coming in to make an exception to that rule. They're weird-ass outliers that make it difficult to have a cleanly overlapping definition.
Yes! Thank you!
I saw this on insta a couple weeks ago. So funny.
Hahaha. I love the way you think.
Steak & eggs! 😊
And bacon!
So vegetables are a social construct.
Dr. Baker 😌 destroying their premise at its root 😏😌
Forgettable vegetables
Fun fact. Our ancestors in the paleolithic period ate meat. But also ate vegetables, fruits, roots, nuts, and seeds.
The vegetables we eat today did not exist 5,000 years ago. Please name the plants they ate from.
I've seen a few vegetables eating tubers, leafs and seeds.
Well no wonder, when I used to buy all that crap so I could "be healthy", that it would basically rot in my fridge. It's freakin' vegetation, like grass.
I am not attracted to grass but meat of pretty much any kind doesn't last long at all.
Why don't we just feed all that to the cows for better nutrition from the meat?
Can't they process it better than our bodies can?
Survival food
Hey Shawn red meat is a problem I have to agree with the vegans. Let me help to get rid of it one steak at a time..... Then they won't moan so much.
cool
I believe the expression "animal, vegetable or mineral" is instructive here. Hence, they exist, but the category is probably larger than most believe.
PS: Her argument is invalid. Just because a potato, for example is a tuber, doesn't mean it's not a vegetable-it would be a classification of vegetable. My guess is that she hasn't taken botany, as a botanist would assure her that vegetables do exist.
I'll solve this for you. Vegetable is any edible plant other than seeds, nut's, berries or fruits.
--
Disclaimer: above definition is subject to chance at any time
Perhaps a better definition would be "Vegetable is any edible plant other than seeds/grains, nuts, berries or *sweet-tasting* fruits."
Mushrooms and seaweed/kelp are classified as vegetables in the culinary world, yet neither are scientifically classified as plants.
Actually, vegetable is any part of edible plant, INCLUDING seeds, nuts, grains, and berries or sweet tasting fruits.
Where did you get the idea that those last five items were not vegetables?
@@josephnebeker7976 The third sentence in the Wikipedia entry for vegetable gives an alternative definition, which is quite commonly used in America. If you want to argue that this alternative definition is arbitrary or silly or that Wikipedia is not a great source of information, I won’t disagree.
Just because "vegetable" is a culinary term doesn't mean it isn't a class of potentially edible, usually natural substances.
vegetables are more like a category of items lol
Neat! xD
These people got paid real money to talk about this. This world is insane.
My goodness, I love steak!!!
Well, that was amusing. "Vegetable" is a term designating a *class* -- in the same way "animal" and "mineral" are used. In the pre-internet days, kids were taught about the 3 classes of beinghood -- animal, vegetable, and mineral. All things in existence belonged in one of those classes and shared characteristics with others in the class. Each class could be broken down into finer and finer divisions, as well -- animals, for example, might be warm blooded or cold blooded; minerals might be crystaline or sedimentary; vegetables might be fruit-bearing or spore-forming
One of the things that made virii so hard to understand was that they seemed to cross classes: animal-like at sometimes, then more mineral-like at other times.
Alas, the modern world has lost so much.
In a world where you can identify as anything, words no longer have meaning.
*plants
Interesting point. In the archaic classification system that you mention, "vegetable" means something different than when it is used as a culinary term.
@@petermadany2779 "Archaic"??? You must be very young 🤣🤣🤣

Tomato is actually a berry.
A berry is a small fruit. A tomato is actually a small fruit. Some berries are not really berries; they are aggregate fruits, such as strawberries. Blueberries are true berries.
@@trail.blazer I heard tomato was originally a very small plant that was bred for size and is now considered by many as a vegetable. it's part of the nightshade family and the stems of the plant as well as other related species are highly poisonous.
@@Sarnarath That's why I rarely eat tomatoes or capsicums. Interestingly, the flower of the tomato plant is absolutely toxic, whereas the fruit that grows from that flower is not.

Oh yeah, well what is a jo biden then? huh! Answer me that one...
Interesting but i'd still rather have some tubers and flowers as a side to my steak.
She's right, but she's wrong.
The "tomatoes are fruits, not vegetables" thing came up in my college bio course years ago. I guess maybe ten years? It's been awhile. Anyway I asked the teacher how he could say that a tomato was not a vegetable. Was there a scientific classification that was "vegetable"? He said he'd look into it. Came back the next day, nope, no scientific term for vegetable.
I told him that that makes "vegetable" a layman's term, and that tomatoes must either be both fruit AND vegetable, or fruits only in the science lab and vegetables at the grocery store. But you can't say a tomato isn't one. Weirdly, he seemed to like this idea lmao
there is no such thing as a fish
What?
@@ExtraSubtle It's based on the notion that fish used to refer to anything in the water (jellyfish, dolphins, whales, etc.) but these days some of those are not considered to be fish. On that basis, fish might not be considered to be a biological group. Fair enough in that respect, but there are for sure creatures that we do still consider to be fish. It is somewhat opinionated.
Does meat exist ? I mean, steak is a cow right 😂

Normal humans injected themselves with an experimental poisonous fluid. Im happy im not normal. But, 10.000 years back or so, everyone was hunting animals for food, no one was harvesting grains. They like sounding smart about being dumb..
Fruits are seed bearing structures. Some 'vegetables' are not fruit because they are not seed bearing structures. That is the botanical definition.
I disagree with this. Vegetables is an umbrella term, for the plants that most of society consumes on a daily basis. Even a 3 year old knows this!
