Hook2Cook sweet! I think I seen you with your girlfriend at lake cashuma a while back then. Cool video dude and awesome fishing. I’m from Oxnard and fish the 805 also. Cool dude. Might see you again. Gona do some cashuma fishing this weekend Sunday
Dang fellas y'all were in my backyard and didn't invite... So sick you guys were able to get on. Fish that spot from time to time and get skunked. Nice to know they're still around. Who were the local boyz, I saw that SM sweater... Go Dons! Trying to put in work and get jumped in to the fishing crew! LOL
Wats up Papa Leroy “Master Chef” you should start a food truck and park it by the beach and sell food or wat ever fisherman’s catch you cook it for them and charge them by a pound and species lol 😂 still waiting on you to visit the bayarea 🙏🏽 take care be safe and blessed 🙏🏽
Gmorning E! Wow y’all doing it big 🤙🏽 another awesome video 👍🏼 aww wats up uncle nice to see you back at the surf 🙏🏽 Papa Leroy “Master Chef” well done 🤤 tell your boy I trade him some Covidvina for a pair of waders 🤪 but the icing on the video is you catching a perch 🤔🙊😜 Yo E y’all be safe out there 🙏🏽
Your videos are already tremendously entertaining brody. Then you throw in a catch in cook with Leroy its impossible not to watch from beginning to end. That chuckle after your first bite of that Corbina said it all. 😆 Good stuff.👍
Never heard of corbina but now I wish I did! Great group of people and what a great meal. That looked so amazing. The flow of this video was just great from start to finish! Be safe with those fires, I hope none are near you.
Thank you for noticing brother! You always point out the things only creators would notice. It’s a challenge to keep things concise and watchable. Ean actually caught a 34” leopard shark with 4lb test in this session but couldn’t keep the video under 20 minutes had it been in there
Hook2Cook What! That’s awesome. I understand what you mean with keeping the video from bring to long. Sometimes it’s hard to trim it all down. I have to say you explain things very well when you’re talking about the fish. Also You are one of my favorite channels out there! So keep up the great work. You gave great content.
The real key to the eating part was to film everyone’s reactions and cut and mix them together as if we’re all experiencing the same thing at the same time. Having all our bites and reaction mixed was key. But yea it’s cool to have a baseline fish to compare it to. Huge compliment on the content. Thank you bro 👊🏼
The evil laugh in the beginning😂😂😂. Corbina are definitely one of the most elusive fish. Down here we gotta use 4 pound line because they got so good eyes.
@@Hook2Cook ua-cam.com/video/dipXMKdaUX4/v-deo.html many videos are with cooking there, I am not sure which one is for steam, as chinese we cook this way for alive fish often.
For sure someday if we catch fish together, we would like to make the desh at front of you and for you!!! Enjoy fishing, we are looking for into your more videos
Beautiful! It’s always fun to watch you and your friends out there having fun! Is Corbina the same as white seabass? They look so similar, but smaller than our limit size up here (28”)
Thank you so much for the awesome compliment! Corbina and croaker and WSB are in the same family but they’re different. No size limit on corbina and the limit is 10 from what we read
Hey bro I’m new to your channel and I been wanting to go surf fishing and I was wondering what kind of waders you use Or what would you recommend ? Also what rod would you recommend for striper and perch . Thank you 🙏🏼
Corbina are nice but considering their low numbers I tend to let them go. Also male sheepheads since their jaws are helping fight back the overpopulated purple sea urchins in socal.
Corbina will also take mussels. Using mussels you might even have a shot at a spotfin croaker. I wouldn't compare corbina and perch. Corbina is way better than perch. Spotfins are also very tasty.
Yup! That’s how Alex got them. Mussels. Also if you’re to describe the taste corbina to someone who hasn’t had it, what else would you compare it to that most people have had?
Hook2Cook In my opinion, they are a mild flavored fish and the only other fish that comes to mind is a bass. I don't eat fish in restaurants, would rather catch my own, so I can only compare it to what I've caught. Never caught a legal halibut so I haven't eaten one... yet.

Hook2Cook what’s the 805 for? Did you fish down here in the 805?
Yes. That’s basically our home water. Santa Barbara an San Luis Obispo county

Wat up Mike “Fower” 🇵🇭 yeah E’s thumbnails are starting to look like the food or mukbang videos 😜

Seriously no words can do that fish justice after building an appetite in the surf!

Another nice hook2cook video! Looked delish, wish I had smellavision! Thanks, Ed and Leroy!
Right! Thanks for watching

Daaammmnnn that looks amazing!!! Leroy’s a great chef
Just caught my first corbina today. Did my best to follow the recipe and it came out amazing. Thank you for sharing!
That’s awesome! Great job on the catch and cook!
Aww. This brings back so many memories of my Grandpa cooking Chinese style fish. Looked so good.
Those are the best memories
Awesome catch n cook video
Thank you!
Corbina are called kingfish aka whiting in fl and we catch them mostly in the winter and spring time. There are 3 species of the kingfish.
taking catch and cooks to the next level, well done!
We’re so lucky to have Leroy in our group
the cooking style is same as my wife's way in our video, I love it, enjoy the life!!!
Can you post the link? I’d love to see her version

God that looks amazing!! 🤤
Right!? Wish you could smell it!
You boys know how to do it up.
Thanks Ken!
Another great video.🤙
Deng! Looked bomb dot com. Got hungry and my mouth started watering lol. No size limit for the YFC. Yeeww!
Plate looks amazing

Jocelyn Nguyen lets just say, BRING MUSSELS 🤣
Bringing mussels AND muscles to pull em in! 💪🏽😄

Thanks for the recent support bro! Everything we recommend can be found at kit.co/HOOK2COOK
Morning Mike!
leroy reprogle Good morning Leroy!!!!!!
Nice job Edward!
What’s up fam. As always. Awesome video
Thanks brother!
Damn dude I seriously hope I run in to you all at the beach one day fishin and have a fish to donate to the cook! That looked amazing! 😄🤤👍🐟🐟😄
Deal
Most of us SoCal surf anglers go after Corbina. But fishing for em is just as tough.. usually 1 corbina to 10 yellowfin croaker..
No size limit for croakers and corbina🥳
Whoa! Haha even the yellow fin? Haha didn’t even bother looking it up
Hook2Cook yup they don’t usually get that big
Another great one. If you see my picture I'm holding my favorite fish.
That’s awesome! Corbina king
No size limit on yellowfin croaker
Corbina are nice but considering their low numbers I tend to let them go. Also male sheepheads since their jaws are helping fight back the overpopulated purple sea urchins in socal.
Agreed 100% on sheepshead. Urchins taking over can cause major damage to the kelp beds where so many other species live.
Can't watch or I'll start keeping em instead of releasi'n . I bet you guys could make opal eye taste good!
But have you seen Bennie Kim's vid on corbina being line shy?
Nope
@@Hook2Cook you should watch it. It kind of debunks the line shy thing
Oh that’s cool

Where’s the fam! Wake up everybody!
Videos not even done yet! 6:13 and it’s 19 minutes long!
Those sb boys know these spots like the back of their hand it’s sick to see
They really do! It’s impressive
Not line-shy , human-shy. Don't think they don't see you!!
It’s so hard to believe since when you’re targeting halibut, they seem to be everywhere... it’s only when you actually target them, they disappear
@@Hook2Cook they know sighhh. 🤣
Love ur channel Ed but no way that was a 22” halibut. Ok nvm
Lol you just got to the part where we filleted it? GoPro wide angle is deceiving
