Just discovered this channel. I love the way you treat the animals - too many videos just have people tossing them around and hurting them. These are very helpful for anybody looking to start foraging.

Does anyone know where this is? I was looking up some spots in Tomales Bay and landed on Lawson's Landing. Went out there today and spent about 1.5 hours digging for 4 keeper clams :|

I was just at a Big-5 a few hours ago and picked up the ocean fishing regulations for some light reading ... since I'm in San Jose which is pretty far inland I can get to the beach pretty close to never, but at least there's your channel.

We saw about 70% less steamer clams at that spot last time. I hope people get the message and start reburying the young and filling holes. Otherwise it will take years for the clams to bounce back there! Good vid man.

That Iwatani butane stove you use is a life-changer. Neat surprise: The top pops right off for easy washing. And those shallots, any Asian market should have 'em at a deal price, and they generally have asparagus too. Really, Asian markets are great for all veggies.
99 Ranch and Dai Thanh markets near me have live "manila" clams which are small steamers like that, and H Mart has semi-live ones lol. They'll work in the same recipe if you can't get to the beach...
I film hunting and fishing and have a little wildlife out on my Texas jungle but one thing that I do miss sketching fresh seafood and the smell of the salty ocean!
