DO NOT BUY WITHOUT RESEARCH These are the 250 ohm model, ohms in simple words being the amount of power you need to "power" the headphones. If you don't have an amplifier or a powerful enough source for your audio then you won't be able to run them at a high enough volume. They're great headphones sure, but the borderline necessity of an external Amp adds to the price
i have a pair of these and no doubt the audio quality is very good. I had them for a year until the right side started crackling out of nowhere and I've send them back hopefully for a replacement or refund. I paid £129 for my pair and its the DT 990 Pro limited edition ones, not the normal ones like in this video. I was shocked at the failure but hey I'm all for second chances so hopefully they come back fixed or its a new pair
@@aboveaveragefps im not sure but from what i could find, i ordered it from amazon and they have a nice comparison chart thing comparing it to other similar headphones, compared to the DT 990 normal edition 32 ohm headphones, the only difference is the noise cancellation which the limited edition ones do not have as they are open back. The connectors are different, with the normal ones u have to use the traditional 6.35mm jack however the limited edition ones can be converted between 3.5mm or the bigger alternative which is a screw on like adapter. The limited edition headphones are made from stainless steel whilst the normal ones it seems like are made from plastic. Overall i don't think there's a significant difference
Update on the headphones, they just came back today and they didn't give me a new pair but they replaced the right side driver which was the issue at hand and it sounds lovely again. I don't know why the right side was failing in the first place but i do have some custom EQ settings on my PC so i don't know if that has maybe damaged the sound on the headphones so maybe ill tone it down a bit. But man when it comes to good sound quality i am so picky cause with most headphones, the sound that comes out of the box is never enough for me, i need more bass and punch
Those arent gaming headphones, those are low end studio grade headphones for music and sound production. I would not recommend those to an average gamer...

TRUTH, I plan on going over this in the follow up video! The 80 ohm version could run without an interface BUT definitely not recommended!
Without an amplifier, how do the sound levels/quality compare to something like a pair of ATH-M50x?

Btw they are only good for streaming because they are open back so I recommend getting something with a good audio quality
