For those wondering, the blind testing DMS and I did was a vid that never saw the light of day, even though we did use some clips from those sessions in other videos. It's a concept we'd like to revisit at some point since the outcomes were interesting.
From what DMS was saying, it sounded like you were slowly turning until you heard the enemy in the center of your screen. I wonder if it would be more effective, with regards to getting a better sense of the soundstage, to have the aimer try to flick towards the origin of the noise. Then, the aimer could also adjust from the faster motion after judging the initial movement.
I was dying to know what everyone else picked haha!! It was kept a secret until this vid dropped and the takes were great as always. Thanks for including me!

I’m shocked people thought that original video was sponsored. Maybe it’s just cause I have experience with a lot of different stuff too, but I knew coming into that it was going to be “800s, 800s, 800s” over and over again. How are you lot meant the help the fact it’s just good shit? Regardless, great video!
Haha yeah we also found it kind of odd that the “accessible flagship” from a company focused on audio since 1945 would raise so many eyebrows, but people love to think us UA-camrs cant have an opinion without a check attached.
None of the creators there are actually gamers though and if you play games like starcraft any headset/headphone will do. Most looking for good headphones want to be on edge when it comes to fps, not boomer games like age of empire
I just bought the Audeze Maxwell - anyone else have a weird crackling sound when listening to ANY audio? I have them on 6/100 for volume, so I have no idea why it's doing this. If there's a fix I'd love to know and greatly appreciate it. Additionally, for whatever reason the Audeze HQ software won't pick up my headphones? No matter what connection I use they just don't show up.
I also got the maxwells, and they do have crackling sound, it's something from the planar itself, it's so thin that if you do much pressure once, they'll get that defect permanently, i really like the maxwells but the crackling it's way too irritating to hear, at least for me, as for the software, unplug and plug again the dongle, that fixed it for me
Send those back immediately. I've seen this issue pop up on reddit and can't remember if it was some sort of software or hardware issue I've had mine for a few months, don't daily drive them but they are the best wireless headphones on the market (for gaming).
That's a hardware defect, better get those replaced. Main reason I still stick with dynamic drivers for gaming since they can take a beating without taking damage.
6:16 The thing about Bose is that it has a lot of input latency. That means sounds come like 200 ms after they happen in the game. That is not nice when gaming. Trust me, I really tried getting used to gaming with the Sony MX4, but I just couldn't.
I use crinacles red IEMs and they’re so good for the price it’s ridiculous. I use them when I play starcraft, they’re great for playing retro games (I play on the miyoomini), they’re great for travel and playing music on my phone. I find them to be very comfortable over long periods of time too Great video!
Zeos is dope, my go to for a unique take on things compared to everyone else who tends to be same same on opinions. I think though, having Zeos feature in a video is like trying to show your parents Anime for the first time, they are going to be confused, weirded out and a little concerned for you and your sanity but at the end of the day we love Anime and we love Zeos.
@@impo9645 More of a joke. He’s a bit of a divisive guy and his “anime” content is borderline on the adult side of things. They are all friends though.
I don’t know if I got a dud, but going from a PC38x to a Maxwell because I missed having wireless from my old Arctic pro wireless, I had heard such positive reviews of the maxwells but I had to return them, the sound was harsh to me and sounded awful compared to the pc38x, there is no beating the open back sound in my opinion I had a hard time locating sounds in CS2 with the maxwells, where it feels like I can see through walls with the pc38x, also a side note is that my friends hated the microphone on the maxwells? I might try them out again, I really liked the battery life they had and the dongle with usb c, definitely premium headphones
I am not an audiophile, but a gamer. My previous headphones which is more affordable was the DT880 250 Ohm. Now I use the DT1990Pro, which is a straight upgrade from the DT880. For a mic I use the Modmic5 for a long time now. There is also a reason I don't use any headphones/mics with any kind on knob or dial or button, they tend to fail very early on. I had ALL! mics and headphones/headsets fail on the volume dial/mute switch (including the Modmic5, but that switch was optional), making them near unuseable after just 1-2 years. (especially Sennheiser, used many of their gaming headsets back in the day). And the funny thing is, I barely even used these dials/switches. I use the windows volume/mutes. And I do care for my headphones. I place them either on my head or on the stand and thats it. No throwing or placing them down hard. Bluetooth headphones also have some lag in them, but some people just can't notice it.
The Zeos thing is weird to me because Badseed tech posted it. Meaning he saw the video before publishing it on youtube. He could have blurred it or asked Zeos to do it. Why post it and try to save face by crapping on Zeos? I get that his picture are a bit much but youre just as associated to that video as he was. FYI still no edits to the original video as of now. If its that much of a problem then fix it.
i kinda have to disagree in that my top pick for "money is no object" headphones is for sure the $5000 Yamaha YH5000SE. I mean, if money is no object, its extremely light, just as wide of a soundstage as the HD800S but does not suffer from its thin, bass/sub lacking sound profile. Its stereo positioning and separation is far better as well; this is mainly important for differentiating separate audio cues such as gunshots and footsteps when coming from a similar direction. its obviously 3x the price but it very well deserves the spot if no budget is considered in the first place imo
i've been using the audio technica ad1000x for over 8 years and they still freak me out with how open and immersive they are, i also got a sub woofer at some point and the amount of times i take my headphones off to make sure the sound wasnt in my house is crazy i did recently get into iems and i get the hype, you just hear everything, even though its a lot harder for me to pin point the locations of the sounds, great for games like cs or valorant but not my favorite for something like tarkov my next purchase is probably going to be the new dusk iem, first dip into multi driver iems and nicer iems in general, right now im using the starfields which are nice but im noticing a lot of "could be better" things about them
After looking at Audeze Maxwell videos for over six months, including BADSEED's video, my wife ordered me some from Crutchfield. While they do sound incredible, both ear cups now make the annoying scratchy sound if I touch the cups or move my head. It all started the moment I hit both my ear cups lightly out of frustration when the USB CONNECTED voice came over at 5X the volume of what I was listening to. It made me jump and gave me adrenaline. I did find the voice volume setting in the app after that and lowered it significantly but it deserved a good smacking for scaring me. Ever since that moment they have the very well documented (on forums) annoying scratchy sound. They still work and sound great....as long as I don't touch the ear cups or move at all which is kind of NUTS to me for $330 with tax. I did purchase then return the Steel series top of the line headphones first: -their pc audio app did all kinds of bizarre things -the ear cups were just too small -the built in noise cancelling mic was too close to my ears -ear cups made my ears over heat
Finding your channel back in 2021 was actually a "game changing" experience for me. As someone who used to game on with soundbar audio wanting a more loud, explosive, "cinematic" experience. I can say that after I purchased a set of PC37X along with a DAC, I can't see myself playing any other way. Weather it's multi-player or single player. Although I miss the explosiveness and vibration from a sub, I much more prefer the details with the headset. Also the great thing about open back IMO is not being completely shut offf from the world. I always like that I'm aware of my surroundings, and living in a rather "loud" house, by no means does it affect my gameplay negatively.
i still reference this legendary post from time to time, not as a definitive guide but just as an "are these headphones worth looking into or not" baseline
I'm REALLLY wanting to be okay with spending $320ish on the Maxwell's with the Dolby Atmos license, but my Reddit sleuthing has made me relatively hesitant due to the widespread membrane failure issues as well as some headbands snapping in the same places for a few... Have these issues been resolved with updated versions to your knowledge, and have anyone of you experienced anything similar? I'm a longtime ath-m50x user and had a stint on the Arctis Pro Wireless until the right earcup went out a week after warranty. Loved that headset (when it worked) and hoping to not have such heavy buyers remorse again but would LOVE to experience planar magnetic drivers as I consider myself to be a music lover more than a gamer but also would like to be able to pinpoint footsteps as well as I used to on the Arctis pro... the m50x's just cant do it at all other than centerline sound so I have severely fallen off in that aspect in my main game R6Siege. How does the overall sound quality compare to the m50x? I might just buy another pair and the pc38x together for similar price as the maxwells, or pick up another arctis pro set for 139 with black friday here... My brain has tied itself in a knot going back and for the past couple days... HELP! 😂
i still have my first pair of Sennheiser HD 555's, the first pair of decent headphones I ever bought. must be close to 15 years old now, they still work like they did on day 1, still using them. i've had 2 other pairs of more modern gaming headsets in that time which have both broken with use, they didnt last long maybe lasting a year or so. build quality is extremely important
mine were sitting on my guitar amp for years and my dumbass never thought to use them for gaming they will be benchmarked soon against my Turtle beach stealth pros and senheiser momentum 4 buds and razer blackshark v2 pros.
How loud is the sound leakage? In a quiet room, if you are listening to music, can a person sitting 2meters away from you in the same room hear what you are hearing?
@@francoj11 Depends how loud you listen to them but its more like they can hear vaguely what you are hearing, like its a game or a song going on but not like its a mini-speaker. Kind of like having a tv on the the other room. Its not nearly as bad as say they people who walk around listening to their music on speakers out in public. This can vary from headphone to headphone too but from my experience its not nearly the issue people used to closed-backs think it is.
5:03 - more people need to do things like this. Not just with headphones but all kinds of products. Come up with a practically relevant test, that is as close to scenarios in your favorite game as possible and then make it quantifiable. Repeat the test several times with the respective products until you have a large enough sample size to compare them objectively. Then draw your conclusion. So many times we simply try to justify a new purchase because we wanted to treat ourselves, have spent a lot of money or just like the look or image of a product when it's not objectively better than what we used before. Goes for mice, mouse pads, keyboards, DACs, headphones, monitors, pretty much anything.
Personally prefer IEM:s for gaming, not as hot on my head during the summer months and as I am getting older, I get more details I otherwise tend to miss in games where foot steps etc. comes from. Rocking Moondrop Aria 2 for IEMS with Moondrop Chu 2 as backups. Highly recommend switching the ear tips to Spinfits to not get itching in the ear canals and to be able to spend 8+ hrs on your R6 or Minecraft sesh!
I'm still gaming on my semi-open-back Superlux HD681 headphones + Antlion Modmic after watching Tek Syndicate's video about 8 years ago. My only complaint is the elastic headband cords wore out, but my head is so large that this is irrelevant. Even the ear pads are still in like-new condition, in spite of my heavy 5-o'clock shadow rubbing against them all the time. I have since tried the SHP9500 and the HyperX Cloud Alpha, but neither of them compare for me.
@@cgnefarious5785 was bouta ask the same thing. Not sure if I should get a budget wireless for $130 or say fuck it and buy $300 headset. But I need a 1440p monitor which is like $250. Crazy how headphones cost so much.
Love the video. One criticism: all of you recommend headphones for "competitive" gaming. But I think a lot of us don't care about competing at all, and just want something that will make the game experience stand out. Would be good to have recommendations that don't just boost the upper range to make footsteps more pronounced.
Well competitive players need amazing audio to hear everything so yeah, if it’s amazing for competitive gaming it’s gonna be amazing for anything else you do
I've personally been very pleased with Hifiman's HE400SE. It's affordable at around 100 USD, reasonably well built, and sounds great. It's the cheapest over ear planar magnetic I'm aware of. That being said, the earcups while lovely and deep do get warm if you're in a hotter climate, and it does need a bit of punch to drive due to the lower SPL. But the open soundstage and distinct planar bass really sets it apart in that price range.
After spending a lot of money on headphones and IEMs, I learned two things. The DAC matters, but doesn't need to be expensive like the Topping DX3 PRO. I prefer IEMs over Headphones due to weight and nothing on my head. IEMs are only as good as the TIPS you add to them, and this can be challenging at some point (they sound completly different from Tip to Tip). After spending so much money, I now add wireless earbuds. Why? I'm getting annoyed by cables, the weight and I like the Transparency mode of Wireless Earbuds for calls or if I want to understand waht's going on in my flat. Will try out Apple Airpods today …. But don't think they work due to latency.
Any thoughts on Turtle Beach Atlas Air? Gadgetry tech mentioned sound stage is on par with Maxwell and PC38x plus they are open back and top tier comfort
6:17 I tested a bunch of headphones for multi use and found the Bose QC ultra with a dongle for AptX adaptive was a really solid choice for me and what I went with. Audio quality isn’t great but it’s good. They’re very comfy. They’re very flexible headphones. And the wireless latency isn’t bad with the dongle (I used the avantree DG60P) The big gaming drawback is that there’s no way to use a cable without having ANC on. I couldn’t deal with the Audeze maxwell’s weight. I move around too much when gaming or watching movies and it just kept shifting.
I am new to the tech youtuber space, and your comment about Zeos being a type of "file" other than audiophile really sounded like you were insinuating that he was a pedofile. I went to google and reddit and tried to find any evidence or even claims of your insinuation and wasn't able to find anything supporting it. Is that a pretty serious thing to joke about? Esp. when you aren't featuring him in your video? and accompanying it with the "yikes" reaction you and that other guy gave? I'm genuinely confused by this.
Im a fan of hyper X cloud 2 sound, i dont care about mic, can you recommend me something similar to that one ( sound + comfy on ears and noice canceling) but wireless? I gotta change them

@@andrenordengen5163 DT 900 Pro X is a decent choice considering its price and technicalty, since it is an all-arounder for music and gaming. Though I do think the soundstage front and back might not be wide as left and right.
I've just stumbled across this video and thought I'd check in to see what's the latest and greatest as I have been the proud owner of PC360 Game One for ages. Nice to see Sennheiser still rocking it...I am not surprised.
i currently own hd560s i was thinking of getting maxwell or dt990 pro. i mainly play on ps5, fps games (warzone comp). i sometimes play valorant on pc. only problem i got with my hd560s is theyre 120ohms and ps5 doesnt support that without an amp so i feel like my sound isnt as good or as high? would like some feedback.
How loud is the sound leakage in the 560s? In a quiet room, if you are listening to music, can a person sitting 2meters away from you in the same room hear what you are hearing?
@ its pretty bad tbh. i like running my music on high volume and everyone around me can hear what im listening to. if you like running your music half way its kinda acceptable but it still leaks quiet a bit.
The problem with these videos is that some of the people featured have lost the community’s trust by shilling collabs and misleading consumers. Not all of them, but there are some people here with questionable intentions. The fact that this group needs massive disclaimers throughout the video “Hey they’re not getting paid for this” speaks to my point. I come to your channel to get away from many of these guys, the collective honesty within the group of these audiophile “reviewers” here is suspect at best. Hence, the backlash.
I just order hd660s2 for gaming around 17 hours a go 😊 i get it later to day. I use hd650 for 15+ yrs I use soundblaster ae-7 and super with hd650 in FPS. To bad i miss out soundblaster ae-9 😢
Nice Vid man I always appreciate the quality here. I was less a fan at the shot at Zeos, in this day and age a joke like that can really harm reputation even if it is a joke it was at his expense and didn't need to be in the video at all.
Could Gadgetry Tech add the link for the Dekoni Jerzee pads for his EPOS H6 Pro headphones, please? I absolutely love this headset! I have the closed back, for privacy/discretion. I am far from being a pro, but this is my favourite headset yet, for gaming, watching UA-cam and making phone calls. I am considering trying the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro's next. Great video. Thank you BadSeed Tech, from the UK.
I really really really wanted to love the Maxwell Audeze, but whyyyy did they mess up the mic so bad??? I hope they will make a v2 with a good mic soon.
many thanks for these vids, man! I picked up the drop PC38X headset about a year ago (maybe less) in part due to these colabs. I normally use wireless sets because I HATE cords - the bother the freaking heck out of me. That said, the sound of these things is GREAT. And I've gotten more than a few comments in-game about how good the mic quality is. Now, if there was a way to get that cord off of my body, it'd be perfect lol Thanks again, man!
I have been using the pc38x since 2021. I had a cloud flight and cloud 2 before that. The hyper x headsets were nice and loud, but it does not compare to the pc38x. The mic is also great but I seldom use it
I got the KSC75 and I like how they sound, except for a big negative: the sibilance of the 's'. I've always been extremely annoyed by anyone making a sibilant 's', so the KSC75 become too annoying. People who I never heard making sibilant 's' suddenly send a spear from ear to ear. I've not been able to get the Equalizer APO's Reaper deesser extension to do anything with it. Just some high shelves from 2K, 4K, 6K and 8K taking down seem to make the sibilant s down to where I can use them, but that affects so many other sounds they lose what made me like them so much until I had the first arrow in my head.
Hey Badseed Tech, happy to see Maxwell's pop up few times, I also exchanged quite a few ones and the level of audio you get in Maxwell is unmatched from what you get from competitors. Is indeed a little heavy, but you get used to it after few days, really. Not that big of an issue. The software is working well, absolutely no issues with them whatsoever! I do recommend them as well. They work very well for music, movies and gaming! I was hoping to see some good feedback from Crin but that left me without a comment :)), I wouldn't follow his friend's advice at all. If you care about audio, study a little bit more the market and get something better than just "whatever you like" :)
@@proxyhx2075 The software is still kinda meh, but seriously the sound out of them is really impressive. I have the Sennheiser drop headphones mentioned in the video and the Maxwell's have dominated my life.
Maxwell's comfort depends heavily on how big your head is and if you have a strong neck cause that thing is quite heavy. Most posts on the Audeze sub are complaining about the comfort for a reason. I personally would love to see them release a more lightweight version, the 1 week long battery is really excessive imo
I wonder how the Maxwell's stack up against the DT770(80ohm)'s. I keep thinking to myself that there's no way that the Maxwell's can retain the same level of quality as they're wireless, regardless of being planer magnetic. I had the penrose, but returned them because the quality just wasn't quite on par with my DT770's. Those fine details were lost in translation. Penrose sounded darker and wasn't able to resolve the same level of quality.
AKG k702, or any close relative. For what matters in gaming it's basically a baby HD800S - very light and comfortable, has a huge soundstage and is fairly detailed. For how cheap they are, they are grossly underrated as gaming headphones.
It is disappointing to see the same stuff from a large group like this but at the same time if everyone has the same or similar tastes that you'd see similar recs from the group. Like it feels sad due to lack of options as someone who doesn't have it all and may be interested in trying a thing out but it still just makes sense. I do think what people are using has more potential for difference. We all know zeos is an animephile though lmao I use the beyer 1770s as I'm a fan of closed back and this was my first foray into the pricier options.
Wow, 1:41 that’s kind of a weird hill to die on. It’s not my cup of tea at all but the ‘waifus’ have been on a lot of IEM boxes and are kind of a meme thing I guess. You might make it come off as a joke but you are making some pretty gnarly insinuations that might also lead to defamation. You didn’t have to mention him at all. This is just trying to distance yourself from whatever weirdness your viewers are making up in their freaky little fantasies.
thanks @BADSEEDTECH, cause of your recommendations, I sprung for the Audeze Maxwells about 5-6 months ago.... even if your not an audiophile you can definitely hear the sound difference. I love my punchy metal music (devil-driver, tool, and lamb of god) and I play COD and HellDivers 2... this headset is by far the best sound quality I've found. HOWEVER! **** the clamp on the left cheek is brutal to the point i had to get on reddit and look up possible solutions for what to do. i found that if your pull GENTLY the headset apart to straighten them GENTLY you can alleviate a lot of that south paw you get after long sessions. if you wanna know what im talking about press your thumb between your cheek bone and your ear idk what they need to do to fix this but it's like the headset's pads are too bulky, i even got the wicked ear pads for it with the cooling. they help a lot. I just don't believe the ear pads need to be as thick, could be a design flaw but the drivers are hands down, amazing.

Rather than a comment saying it was a "joke", that should have just been cliped out entirely...
honestly I feel like good sound in terms of media you consume and good sound in terms of competitive games are very very different. it depends on the game of course but rule of thumb is the most important thing to look for in a headphone from a competitive standpoint is NOT footsteps or soundstage (unless you’re playing a soundwhore game like siege) because if you are good at the game you play you will have proper map awareness and it will give you no advantage if you’re GOOD what you should look for is not only seperation but also muting (in a fast paced game) the advantage a good headphone should give you is being able to have clearer audio for utility (most shooters) and abilities (hero shooters) so that you can have a proper understanding of what’s going on and that you can act faster on an opportunity (overwatch example: being able to tell clearly when ana has used her sleep dart without seeing it and without her voiceline triggering is an advantage. knowing where the ana is based off of her footsteps isnt and hearing gunshots LOUDER is just literal noise pollution) so unless you’re actually good you shouldn’t care about an advantage and your idea of an advantage in games is probably flawed so just go with something comfortable that suits you in terms of sound profile and features. the gsp 600’s are the best headphones for me in game but in any scenario that isn’t competitive I use either my thieaudio ghosts because they just suit me very well and my crusher ANC2 because they’re FUN. find a headphone that suits you and your usecase instead of focusing on soundstage and footsteps and all of that because you can hear footsteps accurately enough out of any headphone that isn’t muddy or SHIT
5:43 As a competitive MMO and ARPG player, I want to add that these games have a lot of stealth, blink, dash, superspeed etc. mechanics. Hence, as someone whose reflexes have always been very ear-sensitive, this is a very notable benefit in those scenarios where you have a split-second cue to dodge, reposition or counter. Not to sound too nerdy, but the effect is very spider-sense -like. Big bonus.
No, I don’t really think Zeos is a Drake - just jokes. But I am shocked he didn’t manage to get the OG video demonetized.

Wheres 490 review and vs 560s in cod which one better
This needs to be a yearly thing
I just bought the Audeze Maxwell - anyone else have a weird crackling sound when listening to ANY audio? I have them on 6/100 for volume, so I have no idea why it's doing this. If there's a fix I'd love to know and greatly appreciate it. Additionally, for whatever reason the Audeze HQ software won't pick up my headphones? No matter what connection I use they just don't show up.
are you running them through a dac or straight from the motherboard?
I also got the maxwells, and they do have crackling sound, it's something from the planar itself, it's so thin that if you do much pressure once, they'll get that defect permanently, i really like the maxwells but the crackling it's way too irritating to hear, at least for me, as for the software, unplug and plug again the dongle, that fixed it for me
Try turning off side tone, i never use side tone and once i accidently switched it on and thought i broke my headphones!
Send those back immediately. I've seen this issue pop up on reddit and can't remember if it was some sort of software or hardware issue
I've had mine for a few months, don't daily drive them but they are the best wireless headphones on the market (for gaming).
That's a hardware defect, better get those replaced. Main reason I still stick with dynamic drivers for gaming since they can take a beating without taking damage.
Z's blurred out animie girl was comedy. I still watch Z and really like him. I am halfway through the video and a loving it. Cheers Mr. Seed.
I find them to be very comfortable over long periods of time too
Great video!
The red with bass+ adapter and some eq on the 20hz-100hz band and you have head shaking sub bass for an immersive gameplay.
hey may i ask is some IEMs in this case Zero Red comfortable for long hours of gaming session?
Zeos is dope, my go to for a unique take on things compared to everyone else who tends to be same same on opinions. I think though, having Zeos feature in a video is like trying to show your parents Anime for the first time, they are going to be confused, weirded out and a little concerned for you and your sanity but at the end of the day we love Anime and we love Zeos.

16:40 bro what 💀
I don’t know if I got a dud, but going from a PC38x to a Maxwell because I missed having wireless from my old Arctic pro wireless, I had heard such positive reviews of the maxwells but I had to return them, the sound was harsh to me and sounded awful compared to the pc38x, there is no beating the open back sound in my opinion
I had a hard time locating sounds in CS2 with the maxwells, where it feels like I can see through walls with the pc38x, also a side note is that my friends hated the microphone on the maxwells?
Its stereo positioning and separation is far better as well; this is mainly important for differentiating separate audio cues such as gunshots and footsteps when coming from a similar direction. its obviously 3x the price but it very well deserves the spot if no budget is considered in the first place imo
i've been using the audio technica ad1000x for over 8 years and they still freak me out with how open and immersive they are, i also got a sub woofer at some point and the amount of times i take my headphones off to make sure the sound wasnt in my house is crazy
i did recently get into iems and i get the hype, you just hear everything, even though its a lot harder for me to pin point the locations of the sounds, great for games like cs or valorant but not my favorite for something like tarkov
my next purchase is probably going to be the new dusk iem, first dip into multi driver iems and nicer iems in general, right now im using the starfields which are nice but im noticing a lot of "could be better" things about them
I LOVED ad1000x but it was so uncomfortable for me. I have forever been trying to find something like it but with a better clasp
I did purchase then return the Steel series top of the line headphones first:
-their pc audio app did all kinds of bizarre things
-the ear cups were just too small
-the built in noise cancelling mic was too close to my ears
-ear cups made my ears over heat
Thankful for Zeos recommendations.
You know you're missing the king of gaming headphone discourse "Mad Lust Envy", his thread on Head-Fi is legendary and on point
i still reference this legendary post from time to time, not as a definitive guide but just as an "are these headphones worth looking into or not" baseline
HELP! 😂
i still have my first pair of Sennheiser HD 555's, the first pair of decent headphones I ever bought. must be close to 15 years old now, they still work like they did on day 1, still using them. i've had 2 other pairs of more modern gaming headsets in that time which have both broken with use, they didnt last long maybe lasting a year or so. build quality is extremely important
mine were sitting on my guitar amp for years and my dumbass never thought to use them for gaming
they will be benchmarked soon against my Turtle beach stealth pros and senheiser momentum 4 buds and razer blackshark v2 pros.
I see a lot recommended the PC38x. Shouldnt the HD560s preform better since theyre some kind of a standard headphones?
I've been using the Sennheiser 560s for about a year and I've really enjoyed it
How loud is the sound leakage?

No mentions about the astro a50x eh? Have you tried it at all?
At that point just get audiophile headphones
More people need to get on the Gadgetry Tech game. Always one of the first places I go for audio
I watched half of one of his videos and subscribed. No BS reviews.
What do people use for Single Player games for immersion?
Dang i was looking for Z too.

Audio quality isn’t great but it’s good. They’re very comfy. They’re very flexible headphones. And the wireless latency isn’t bad with the dongle (I used the avantree DG60P)
The big gaming drawback is that there’s no way to use a cable without having ANC on.
I couldn’t deal with the Audeze maxwell’s weight. I move around too much when gaming or watching movies and it just kept shifting.

Can you just use the EQ to reduce the treble to balance out the headphone? or does a digital EQ just end up crippling a headset?
Nice Vid man I always appreciate the quality here. I was less a fan at the shot at Zeos, in this day and age a joke like that can really harm reputation even if it is a joke it was at his expense and didn't need to be in the video at all.

I normally use wireless sets because I HATE cords - the bother the freaking heck out of me. That said, the sound of these things is GREAT. And I've gotten more than a few comments in-game about how good the mic quality is.
Now, if there was a way to get that cord off of my body, it'd be perfect lol
Thanks again, man!
Did they finally work out some of the quirky stuff happening on the software side? I'm really looking forward to getting these!
@@proxyhx2075yes. It works very good. You can customize your audio very well and make all firmware updates
I find the imaging on AKG headphones to be way off especially height and center imaging
I wish the goat of gaming audio Fresh Reviews was included in this!
We all know zeos is an animephile though lmao

Do you think the Audeze Maxwells can replace something like the DT770(80ohm)'s?
Love this channel. I’ve watched that video many times.
Any good noise cancelling options? I kinda need it because I always game in a noisy environment. Good noise filtering mic would also be great

I was looking for a comment explaining the real reason but if it’s just because of the wallpapers yeah that’s not right.
I was also looking for more information on this. He has always given me a questionable vibe but I don't know of anything. Has he been accused of this in the past? I don't see how bad seed would have thought we would have interpreted that any other way.

THE SENN-PIRE STRIKES BACK
honestly I feel like good sound in terms of media you consume and good sound in terms of competitive games are very very different.
it depends on the game of course but rule of thumb is the most important thing to look for in a headphone from a competitive standpoint is NOT footsteps or soundstage (unless you’re playing a soundwhore game like siege) because if you are good at the game you play you will have proper map awareness and it will give you no advantage if you’re GOOD
what you should look for is not only seperation but also muting (in a fast paced game)
the advantage a good headphone should give you is being able to have clearer audio for utility (most shooters) and abilities (hero shooters) so that you can have a proper understanding of what’s going on and that you can act faster on an opportunity (overwatch example: being able to tell clearly when ana has used her sleep dart without seeing it and without her voiceline triggering is an advantage. knowing where the ana is based off of her footsteps isnt and hearing gunshots LOUDER is just literal noise pollution)
so unless you’re actually good you shouldn’t care about an advantage and your idea of an advantage in games is probably flawed so just go with something comfortable that suits you in terms of sound profile and features.
the gsp 600’s are the best headphones for me in game but in any scenario that isn’t competitive I use either my thieaudio ghosts because they just suit me very well and my crusher ANC2 because they’re FUN.
find a headphone that suits you and your usecase instead of focusing on soundstage and footsteps and all of that because you can hear footsteps accurately enough out of any headphone that isn’t muddy or SHIT
You are looking healthy my dude. Sharp AF! Love to see it!
Thanks man! Upped my cardio lately. I hate it, but it works 😅
Do you recommend the Jds Labs Atom 2 Dac Amp Stack for gaming? Im using the HD 490 Pros.
Big bonus.
The dig at zeos is savage 😂
