To sum up
ç is pronounced "ss"
Goes before an a, o or u if the c is supposedly pronounced "ss" but doesn't go in front of an e, i or y.

Another city example is Nancy. Je m'appelle Nancy et my high school French teacher gave me the nickname Nançoise because of how people in Nancy are called. Nançois/Nançoise.

Façon= Way {par exemple: de ce Façon-that way}
Elle s'appelle Francois =Her name is Francois {a person's name}
Douceâtre= Sweetish
La leçon es interessant=The Lesson is interesting.
Le reçu=receipt
je reçois=I receive{Present of « Recevoir »}
j'ai reçu un cadeau =I received a gift (Passe compose} of Recevoir
Caleçon= boxer shorts.

I just noticed in this episode that you pronounce Geraldine more like djeraldine than zheraldine. Is this exceptional? In words like gérer, générateur, germe, the ge is pronounced zhe. ... or am I not listening well enough?
Oops, I missed the acute on Géraldine.
may be it the precedent "m" of "I'm Géraldine" which made it sound harder than in other phrases. In the french sentence "je suis Géraldine", with a voyel before, it should sound softer.
