Love your videos. Have you thought about putting together full kits with how to videos and selling them? Take the confusion out of figuring out what to order and from who.. You become the go to source. Just a thought because it's obvious you know what you're doing. :)
You are absolutely right and in this video I did actually use a kit which was a Controller that included the display unit. Very easy process, less time spent, -pretty much plug-and-play at this point-like I mentioned in the video I didn’t have to use any power tools. Previously I would drill headlight switches or tail light switches. But I like the invisible look better, gives it the factory look.Also using these kits doesn’t require you having to purchase a 22 gauge Wire kit when it comes time for adding extensions. With this kit The wires are long enough to reach my controller. Kit price -> $40 for the kit . That’s a deal if you know what your doing. Sold it for $300 made $260 profit . Kits are the way to you get plenty of features inside this display.

Hi, I really enjoyed the video, thanks for your help although the link to the controller with display does not seem to be working (#1) and the heatshrink kit #9 I think is also not working since it sends me to a different product. I think some other people were mentioning this. Do you think you could update it or something? Or do you have any other controller + display recommendations that could fit at the top part of the original bird controller housing?

I have a problem! I have 5 Hall sensors on the motor, which is normal: red, black, blue, yellow, green. But the problem is: I installed a brushless motor controller in a Xiaomi 1s and there I have the Hslk sensor plug from the controller: red black but in between this white one and green yellow blue. But I boy can't solder the white cable together because this white cable only comes out from the controller, a total of 6 cables Hall sensors with white cables. But from my 48V 1000W motor I have the normal 5 neck sensors without white! What do I do now with the white cable that comes out of the controller with the 5 Hall sensors? I didn't connect it. But I also have a problem: my 1st speed controller 36V/48V 750W 26A current and I connected the 3 motor cables together and 5 Hall sensors and the thumb throttle Lcd with round Dieplay LH-100 the same as you have in the video and I just can't get any gas together! Hmmm I connected this LH-100 60V gas display from the controller also the 5 wires. Red black blue green and yellow. That's all. It just shows E-11 Error 11 at the bottom on the gas display. And if I want to go to the P-Settings it always says (50) _ _ _ _ I have to press all 2 buttons and if it says 50 then I have to enter: 6666 and then press 2 buttons again then I can set all P-Settings. But when I rev the engine, the kmh runs up on the gas display. PLEASE you are a pro what is going on please?? And when I connect the gas display to the speed controller, the BMS on the battery already flashes blue, which is good, but ! irregular! 2x flash then 1x flash then 5x short flashes 2x normal again 3x short and and and.. But when I connect the (bicycle display S866 that was in a set with the controller) and press and hold (-) it rotates the engine 3-4kmh. Very very funny!! Could it be the BMS? MfG.

Question New follower Why the 30 ohms resitor on light? Is this to knock down the voltage?
Not the voltage but the current that flows through it is limited using the resistor. The voltage remains the same
@@pjscootermods thanks for your reply 🙏🏼 So I'm guessing I needed the 30 Ohms Resistor I tried connecting the light to the white and black wire from the display and it blew the light.
Does that controller come with the display and can I use the 500w controller you used in the tutorial with the twist grip?
Yes this controller came as a kit. Display is included.
And yes you can replace the original throttle with a twist grip instead , all you have to do is locate your throttle wires on your controller Connect that to your twist grip just like you would the original throttle..

Yes you can wire it on a full charge ! No need to discharge your battery

You can smash a t-25 inside the 7 point screw using just a hammer .

I did everything like you described on your video but my control is not working. I get a little pop when I install the power side
Connecter intelligent warriors/self study Wires and your motor will correct it’s rotation on its own. If you notice your wheel is spinning backwards then disconnect yourself study wires and reconnect them until you see your wheel spinning in the right direction.
After that its pretty much ! from there give it throttle and it should activate your motor from there..
Make sure your connections are good.

Everything in this kit is pretty much plug and play. The throttle should activate automatically.
Or maybe try kicking the wheel/give it a spin it might be set to kickstart.
If that does not work then just order a replacement. They replace it for free
But like I said to be sure you go over your soldering connections, that could definitely have something to do with it

It’s a usb cord dude you probably have a few laying around. Just cut the end off and use the red and black wires. Most usb will be like that, but check to make sure before you hook it up.

My charger only charges up to 34 volts yet it’s a 42v 2a charger is that normal? I also loose power at 30 volts so I have a slow run time. Do you have a link to a good charger?
Your battery should be 42.2 V at full capacity not 34 V as far as the 42v 2a charger well that there is your typical charger. And at 30v The reason why you start to lose power is because you are already at your cut off point/Cut off voltage the bms cuts off at 30-31v .
Also Gets a different battery. Swap out with the same battery from a bird2/3 you definitely have a battery issue on your hands if you’re not charging above 34 V . Sounds like it could be some of the battery cells and balanced.
Normally I say it takes about a good 8 hours for a full charge on these birds using the typical 2 amp chargers .
Right here is a link grab this charger which is rated for 36 V so you’re good there ! No issues! With this charger you will have a full charge in 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours tops

Excellent video i followed every single step and everything works fine, but when i get on the scooter it feels like it loses so much power and it goes very slow, any idea what i might have done wrong??
It’s nothing you did wrong ! you need a controller with more amperage/amps
