    Controller is super quite , has plenty torq as well ! It’s worth paying for Especially on the bird 2 scooter-
    Bird 3 has more space to work with which gives you more options.bird 2 is somewhat limited to a degree.
    This controller just came back in stock, works with scooters and even has Pedal Assist for an ebike.

    Hi , can this exact method work on bird 3 scooter or do you need a different controller or extra connections?

    Great tutorial, I got mine working. But the wheel is spinning in reverse. Do you know what to do about that?

    • @pjscootermods
      @pjscootermods  Рік тому +5

      Thanks ! OK so if your wheel is spinning in reverse what you want to do is locate your self study wires/intelligent wires and connect them together. Doing so will spin your wheel automatically by itself correct it’s rotation. Leave connected for about 3 seconds and then disconnect..from there give it throttle and your wheel should now be spinning in the correct Direction..

    Hey man, from what I am seeing, so the only way to connect a new controller to a bird zero scooter is by doing what've you done right?, there is not other easier way?

    • @pjscootermods
      @pjscootermods  Рік тому

      Yeah this is probably the easiest way, choose a kit just like in this video! The display unit is plug and play with the controller , I mean besides that you have to do a little bit of soldering to get your connectors in place but it’s definitely worth it ! And not very expensive..

    • @pjscootermods
      @pjscootermods  Рік тому

      With the power button of course. Long press the center button for about 3 seconds, that pole was your scooter on and off

    What controller is the best choice for bird 3?

    • @Jnsystems
      @Jnsystems Рік тому

      I believe a 500 or 1000w 36/48V controller will suffice. The 1000W controller good luck getting it in there, extra work to make it fit.

      @@Jnsystems I am running a 1000 in mine, i had to cut back the heat-sink but the transistors did not occupy the extra space, been running great for months. 29 Mph max speed on flat ground. i weigh 250. No problems with torque.

    • @Jnsystems
      @Jnsystems Рік тому

      @@residentalien9886 I haven't found a 1000w controller that is 40mm height or less, and does not have hall wires. 1000w can definitely go great up steep hills, but speed isn't my favorite. Why 40mm or less? Because Lime 4.1 has narrow footboard so no room to work with. I do like their swappable battery system because I do value range. I got the seat on it to be comfy for long distances.

    • @residentalien9886
      @residentalien9886 Рік тому

      @@Jnsystems very nice. I hacked about 3 1/2 inches off as the circuit board does not extend the full length of the aluminum heatsink and the heat transfer bar extended past where the transistors ended so i lopped it off and it slips in nicely now. I can upload pictures if you want. Battery life is about half of what it was when I was running a brainpower 750w. Having a extra battery at your disposal is always a plus. I run a old spin ninebot max with the removable battery on top with a flipsky controller 36 v @70a and that only is a few bucks more. And batteries are easily swapped

    • @pjscootermods
      @pjscootermods  Рік тому

      Yeah honestly I would stick with the 500w 30a when it comes to the bird 3 .it’s just the controller itself . But they also have some with the display unit that cost a little more money.

    Hey I tried a 1000W controller but with the stock throttle. Now only the learn wires turn the motor but the throttle does nothing. How would I test to see what the problem is?

    • @Jnsystems
      @Jnsystems Рік тому

      Problem is either hall sensor or bad controller, to best of my knowledge
      I learned how to use special controllers without hall sensors and it doesn't have this issue.

      @josequintero6489 Рік тому

      My controller is supposed to be able to work without a Hall sensor. I’ll try disconnecting the hall sensor wires see if that works.

    • @Jnsystems
      @Jnsystems Рік тому

      @@josequintero6489 Well, mines does not have any hall sensor wires (doesn't exist) and it works without hall wires, cuz my chime 4.1 has less wires than the bird 3.

    • @pjscootermods
      @pjscootermods  Рік тому

      Maybe try a new throttle, A lot of people have reported that this issue fix the problem 🤷‍♂️ . If all else fails go with a new controller. But after engaging your intelligent wires let your wheel spin in the correct way for about three seconds so we can correct it’s rotation.. afterwords the throttle should work after that.. so definitely go with an aftermarket throttle, or if you have any extra one swap it out
