Great production sir. Most enjoyable. These tape delay pedals are joyous instruments. They are musical instruments. This one is the best ever.
You said it! having a tape delay is like having an extra band member: they can be a little unpredictable, but they always have your back and make you look good.

What would an acoustic guitar sound like when using this? Would you recommend it?
It don't see any issue plugging your acoustic into it. It has a nice rich and dark tone that would work really well with it :)

I know! This has been a super cool week. It's a lot of work, but really satisfying when it is all done :)
Would be interested to hear about your recording setup, as I notice there's no mic on the amp. Reactive load and Impulse Responses perhaps? If so, it could be neat to see how that compares with what you are able to get with a mic so the average joe like me can hear how IR's could improve my sound.
Great idea: that kind of video is definitely on the To-Do list. You are right, I use the Suhr Load into my mix of IRs and get fantastic results. In terms of my UA-cam page, the only time I really do live mic recording is when I do amp demos or music-video style vids.

This thing is pretty awesome, but you'd have to be crazy to actually gig with it! 😒 that doesn't take anything away from it or your vid though, some great pedals this week!

mike s just get a used cassette tape deck off eBay. Make sure it has varispeed and a monitor line in/out. Merantz is a popular one. You will literally get the same tones as this for a 10th of the price. The replicator is just a fancy cassette tape deck. It's nothing like the echoplex, copycat, or space echo sound. They all use 1/4 inch mastering tape. The replicator with 1/8 inch cassette tape is very much lofi when compared to all the classic tape echo chambers.
There are so many delay pedals, but this one seems inspiring, despite its large size, cost and ongoing maintenance.
Yeah, those tape decks need a little extra love, but that sound is the real deal :)

Ohh, The TTE would be a more true sound for the classic tape echo tone. The Replicator has a lot more warmth and roundness, almost like a BBD style analog delay :) Good Luck!
I too have watched a ton of your vids, what's up with that 2011 tele ??? You make it sound like a million bucks but it looks like you also use it for splitting wood or a pry bar or something!!! Hahaha what's the story
Sounds like a great video idea! I definitely am a pretty aggressive player, but it does have a pretty light coat of paint on it (so my abuse is a BIT exaggerated)... Probably the reason why it is so resonant :)
Just rewatched this, the video that made me follow your channel. So fucking beautiful. Man I miss my Replicator. I got one, it had a defect, exchanged it, second one had a different defect... settled for the Keeley 30ms ADT pedal. But man when that Replicator was working...
