The EGR cooler on the 6.4 does fail, but not because of a seal. And we need to understand WHY it fails. Replacing just the oil cooler on the 6.4 is only putting a bandaid on the issue. You see, the EGR uses coolant to cool off the exhaust gases, but before it reaches the EGR it passes through the OIL COOLER. and if the oil cooler gets clogged with the casting sand from the manufacturing process, it restricts the EGR coolant flow until the welds weaken and ultimately ruptures. So the fix? Replace the oil cooler, do a coolant flush, intsall a coolant filter, THEN replace the EGR. And the radiatior is not without its faults. The plastic endtanks eventually break and leak. Solution? Get an aftermarket radiator with metal ends. Theres also the issue with the Piezo electric injectors. Highly sensitive to contaminated fuel. Head bolts? 4 per cylinder and shared. DPF and regen process. Need I say more? Mind you I'm a Ford fan, and I got a 6.0, but I'll stay away from the 6.4, but it sure does look good. Bear in mind this is engine is a Navistar sourced engine, same as the 7.3, 6.0 and 6.4. Ford's 6.7 the Scorpion was designed by Ford in house.
I had the death wobble. Question, sometimes I get white smoke out of my tailpipe, but only once every few months. But I do have to top off my coolant every couple months also. Is it an EGR issue or just coolant evaporation
6.4 has a #4 and #7 heat issue that will cause ring burn or fracture, wrist pin keeper loss, injector failure, and injector seal issues. Ask me how I know....
How come you showed every item in close detail except for the EGR cooler issue? This was a great video except for where is this cooler & what do I need to look for?
My 2008 F-250 Diesel running lights go off when it feels like, with a dead battery yes. Take fuse out lights stay on, is there a control modular with a timing switch that's bad?
My 2008 6.4l Turbo completely died. The key will not even turn on too shift gears. I was just driving after a small radius turn and giving it the gas and then everything dead. Like I said the Key causes no reaction.
And there's another common problem on 08-10 Ford Super Duty with 6.4 Powerstroke, DPF clogged. The amount of emission systems clogging the EGR and DPF it cooks the engine to death. The repair cost too expensive. It wasn't Ford, it was Navistar did this.

I have the 6.8 V10. Zero problems with 180k miles.

Very good thank you. I have been looking for a F250.

How do you know? Not being a smart ass so I apologize of it reads off that way. I'm looking to get into a f250 of this generation.
Why was my oil filter empty when I changed my oil? Can this happening the car sets for a period of time? Or is it a more serious issue?
6:42 what are those track bars called going UP on the front end ?
Head gasket and head bolt stretch when worked hard.

Why does this channel not make how to videos anymore? That's what made this channel great, not this stuff.
Too many ads I liked and commented hope it helped.
Why coolant going to the oil when truck hardly gets driven it’s a 2009 ford F 250 diesel 6.4

Where are the how to videos?

+Jan Amaro Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
had to put tierod ends & steering box on my 2008 for the wobble. POS.
Don't forget you'll get the Famous Ford Engine Tick after 20,000 miles 😆😂
The best way to not have issues with these are to buy a Chevy
Parasitic drain.
I will pass not buying anymore
If it’s too much of a problem don’t buy them.
"TESLA" TRUCKS..WE NEED THAT BADLY...NO SENSORS..NO DIESEL NO GASOLINE...NO MORE WASTE MONEY TO THE TOILETH
