This is one of the best videos I've seen on auto repair/teardown.
Watched this video last night and it made pulling the dash out of the donor truck at the salvage yard today insanely easy...also had the entire yard staff in shock when I had the entire front clip removed and dash out in under an hour...
Bro. Thank you so much for this video. F350 came in for ac not working and I knew I was gonna have to pull the dash. Was dreading it. This video definitely helped me get an idea of what I’m getting into and how easy it can be. Thank you for your video.
What year is your 350
Thank you for the information and the video. I’ll be pulling my dash and installing sound deadening. This makes it soooo much easier. Keep the videos coming!
Thank you for the patience making this video and posting it. Going to be doing this soon and now I’m not dreading it as much. 😅
I need to clean out my air intake for the heater. This will save me a ton of time. Thanks
Thanks for the info. Will save me a lot of time and aggregation when I do my swap next month
Thank you ... You just saved me a ton I mean a ton of time...I would have taken the whole thing apart ...OMG...Keep putting out this kind of stuff and your subscriber base will grow...just look at Chris Fix!
You helped me big time thank you! Pulled the dash out in 30 minutes!
Thank you sir. Appreciate you very very much. This is a great instructional video.
Omg...
You just saved me a huge headache
🙏🙏
I used this method today and it worked out exactly as you said. Thank you so much for the video it helped a ton.
Great informative video, Save me hours over pulling front panels to get to 2010 F150 Lariat driver side air cond actuator. Fast easy ! Thank you!
Great video without a bunch of nonsense like other videos. Thanks for not telling a story 🤣
Bouta pull the dash out my 98 ranger to paint it all black, this helped hella
Thanks.
I have personally watched this video like 10 times. LOL
Not bad this video gave me the balls to attempt this tomorrow on my 2010 f150
@nemo runks. How did it go?
@@birkayer6100 super super easy dude this is the best video out here.... I’m putting it back right now actually
@@masehowtoooos3790
How difficult is the reinstall?
2 hours or less?
@@Jeff-zc9jv honestly maybe an hour it was easier than taking it out as a novice
Thanks for the video man 💪
Cool vid! We need this vid for the 99+ dash removal
Beagler Bass Fishing & Outdoors Maybe one day I’ll shoot a video of one for you
Excellent...thanks for making the video. Very helpful
Thank you for your video
BAD ASS VIDEO. I'm going to replace my evaporator core after i replaced the heater core 5 years ago. Nice to have a guide that skips all the "should I disconnect this, do I leave that?"
I'm getting ready to tackle the same job (evap core). This video will save me TONS of time!
I always thought the HVAC box was screwed to the dash
I feel like this might be the easier way to replace my passenger side blend door actuator... just having a hard time wrapping my head around pulling the whole dash out, haha
This was great. Thanks man!
Great video 👍👍
😄👍Good Stuff, Great Tips
God bless you man , great job , thank you so much
Awesome video! Help me out, that's for damn sure.
Great and very explained video
Thank you for the video... very informative
david bartlett Anytime, glad to help!
You got to think like this with any dash..at the factory that dash was installed completely assembled. So if it will go in complete it can come out the same way..
Real good video
Help me to much
Thanks 🙏🏽
Yup not a whole lot different from what a dealer does except they have a little crane type thing that almost looks like a one you'd pull a motor with and its can be operated by one guy.. Saw the dealer use it when my Dad had issues with his dash, and Ford decided after the 4th attempt failed to fix to replace the whole thing, had it in and done in just over an hour and a half after they reprogrammed modules etc to match the VIN...but yup I have seen guys pull part dashes and 3 days later they are still pulling there hair out and trying to get it all out... lot easier the way your doing.Sure some guys that are doing something like this are going to appreciate the info, not a lot of videos that detail it like you did
Screamin Demon Thank you 🤙🏼
I wonder if this would work on 2017 expedition
Good job
Good video buddy
Thanks have a bad heater core love my truck this will help shop wants a small fortunshin to change 9 hr they said just labor
Would like to buy that Dash!
After you remove the dash will I need to do any reprogramming or ?
I need to replace the passenger side blend door, looks like removing the entire dash gives me a front row seat to it, can you tell me if the blend door is sitting right there on top of the heater box when you remove the dash? This video is a BIG help, thank you!
I got to my blend door by just removing the air bag.. qlot easier than removing dash
Then why is this video 12.44 seconds long? LOL😂
Great video. Very helpful. My F150 is a 2007. I need to replace the evaporator. Is the dash removal similar?
I would imagine it’s very similar to this
I noticed someone ask if this was the same for 99-07 dashes. I think it is. But the physical swap isn't the hard part, it's the electrical. I'd love to do a 08-10 swap into my 07. It's the electrical part that makes me think its not worth it.....knowing which wire goes where
Awesome
How difficult is it to reinstall the dashboard?
Im thinking it is difficult to get everything aligned?
I need a video for removing the drivers side blend door actuator.
Take the dash out
Would removing the dash like you showed be an easier way to access the blend doors? I have warm air on the drivers side when running the heater but cold air on the passenger side and suspect it to be a blend door issue. My wife sure would appreciate getting this fixed.
I would assume so. You may be able to get at it behind the glove box but i’m not certain on the 08+ trucks
@@Jimmyziggy
If you watch some of the videos on how to get to a blender door or blender door actuator I'm sure you might see that it's often a very time consuming task.
I watched a video where they spent over 5 hours.
You removed the dash, the main obstacle in less than 30 minutes 😮
Will this work on my 2011 6.7 xl dash looks the same
Great learning video my friend. One question are these the same step to get to a evaporator core on a 2012 f250. Thank you in advance...
I'm wondering the same thing 🤔?
Have you tried it?
It's the same thing only trouble I had was taking the nuts of the firewall to remove the HVAC box. Other than that pretty quick job... Thank God...
@@dinocencio53 . Thank you 👍
does work same way with e450 shuttle bus?
Thanks!
does the vin number come out with the dash? or no?
Can you get access to the top of the HVAC box, if you remove the passenger side air bag?
Im needing to get to blender door and im only concern now is reinstall.
How difficult is it to realign to the bolt holes
Hey bud love the video I know it's been a while since you made the video but do your remember the vent that near the window where does it lead. my wedding ring fell down the vent would be a great help if you could tell me it's it's gone for good or is any chance to get it back
I would think hvac box towards the blend doors then Evàp and heater core.
Good Video, got me thinking of My 2013 Ford E250 Blower issue, Vacuum canister is a common culprit, most leave Bad one buried in Dash as it must be the first thing installed on the Vehicle. Rather than removing Air Conditioning System, seems this way may be doable?
Any thoughts on that, Thanks
Wow. I don't have access or heat and live in a Astro van. 😁 I want to totally remove my dash board and remove all air ducts and build a counter with drawers that lock, to keep tools and oil and spray cleaners. But the part of the dash with the gauge clusters behind the wheel I want to keep, but eliminate everything above the doghouse and to the right of it.
Can it be done?
can 2010-11 dash be pu into older 2008 E450
Appreciate it bro
Did you disconnect a battery?)))
Thx
Is take out for 1987 f150 if not what are the difference thanks
I have a 2011 F-250, will this great instructional video help or the dash is completely different?
It should be very similar. Not entirely sure but same concept
@@Jimmyziggy Thank you, I did it by myself and if it wasn't for your video I would still be wrestling with it.
How much time did you spent
Cool
Can you install a 08 6.4 complete cab with front end on a 05 6.4 frame & make it completely functional?
2005 is 6.0
Are there no bolts coming from the engine bay side on the firewall? Is that only on the newer body style?
Only the bolts i showed in this. that’s it
Is this the process you would need to do to upgrade a 2011 dash to a 2015 dash?
This is just the removal process. I’m not sure about putting the newer dash in
@@Jimmyziggy Thanks for the reply buddy... After more research the 11 to 13-16 swap is kinda a PITA... The trucks use different wiring harnesses and bcm's... Its pretty involved...
Is that the same with a 2006 f150?
Similar but no bolts in the outer door jamb. There are video on 2004-08 on here
Hi great video by the way but I have a problem I did this to replace my ac actuator that changed the air up or down now my truck won't start itll crank but doesn't start
You must have forgotten a plug
@@Jimmyziggy thanks for the quick reply... figured it out i think its was a fuel cut relay the one on the passenger side inside the dash that has like a button on it to reset not sure 🤔 what its called ....
@@Driftprodigy01 Yea that’s the fuel inertial switch
Would you recon this can be done without an impact?
Oh yes i use it because it’s quick
@@Jimmyziggy thanks. Gonna be swapping in a center console soon on my 2016 and it involves changing out an air duct behind the dash, either this video is gonna come in handy or I'm just gonna have a shop install the part
How much would u chage me to swap mine
I’m in need of assistance I have a 05 f-350 dually 6.0 the cab is kinda rusty for my liking however I have a complete cab with front clip completely assembled that I would like to sit on my 05 frame, who has done that kind of conversion & what all would I need to make it work as far as my harness & ac lines due to my 05 blower motor assembly being on the outside & on the inside on the 08 cab also the computer is mounted to the inner fender on the 05 & in the firewall on the 08 same as the air filter is in the opposite side please inform me as to what to do to make the 08 complete cab & front fully functional on my 05 frame thanks
Any luck with your swap , if so can you give me some advise as I'm looking to do the same
Great vids, thanks. Your links to dash swaps are dead links. does it make a difference if it is 7.3 diesel swap?
Sorry about the dead links i’ll work on getting those fixed. But if you want to find the videos just scroll back in my channel to april/may/june 2020 they should be there. Gas vs diesel is pretty much the same concept when it comes to swapping the dashboard so it’s the same stuff pretty much
@@Jimmyziggy thanks great info
how about a 2017?
Is this the same for a 2016?
Anthony Wubben Yes same concept as this
@@Jimmyziggy Awesome. I have to clean the evaporator on the new service truck at work on Monday
Takes him 10 minutes but the video is 12 mins long and edited lol 😆
I really could get it done in 10 minutes haha. I take these apart for the swaps so it’s really easy for me. Filming and explaining in these videos makes everything take way longer
_
Wow!! You’re amazing!! Thanks for the video!!
Need help .. could I use this dash on 1999 f350
Would this work to replace the heater core and then reinstall?
James Burkhardt I guess that’s one way of doing it. Would make it a lot easier to get in there and change it. I believe people take the glove box off and do it that way too. Whatever works best i guess
@@Jimmyziggy thanks for the prompt reply! I've been told by the local Ford dealer that is 8-10 hours of labor to replace the heater core for my 08 f250 6.4 because they have to remove the dash... Trying to verify the labor hours needed... Your solution send much more efficient.
