@@divamontoya5283 I shake the bottle up so it mixes enough to spray and it works for me I’ve noticed if I go without my hair tends to be dryer and I don’t like just putting oil in my hair I don’t like the feeling the water/oil mix distributes for me more easily and I don’t have to rub it in
I mix water , aloe Vera , hair oil, and peppermint oil ! All I can say is that mixture made my son’s locks grow so quick !!!! Try It!!! I found it on UA-cam and I’m glad I did!!!
I braided the bottom and twisted the top I did that for all my two-strand twist but I just didn't feel like getting dreads anymore so I only left one its been around two months it's pretty okay right now hasn't locked yet though but it's grown a lot

To TLDR what my stylist told me, she basically said my twists lock up when I decide to stop coming in for a retwist and I just needa keep my scalp moisturized. Is it that simple? Do I just let me hair rock now and don’t ever go back to the stylist?
Yeah G just leave them be they will loc eventually just wash and moisturize and all that you can then decide if you wanna take them out and go a different dread style but basically whatever your hair type and texture if you have them in long enough they will loc for sure

Should wash them up, regardless but up to you if you want to retwist or nah if you going for dreads just leave them unless you don’t like how they look they will eventually loc give it time

If you aren’t trying to loc your hair up, then you can keep them in as long or as short as you want. The longer they stay in, the quicker your hair will loc up.

Don’t retwist to often or else your dreads will thin out maybe you could put them back in but make sure you don’t maintain them too often like every week maybe once a month you could put in two strand twist and maintain it again just make sure you don’t do retwist to often cause that can lead to traction alopecia
In my personal experience, I had two strand twists because I wanted to try the hairstyle but after I took them out neatly it was curly and stayed formed for a long time and would have dreaded. I just combed through it eventually. I have really curly hair

If you leave the two strand twists in they will loc up in the twist and turn into dreads so I recommend let them stay in if you take them out they not gonna loc up

Try lock counting the more u have the smaller they will be the less u have the thicker I believe I have 54 dreads that’s about the thickness of a 200 pound man pinky finger add more they get smaller but just try to get even dreads that’s most important

And also I don't get retwists often(I get em everyone 6 months) so that thick foundation can build up and not look so "scalpy". Alot of ppl can handle that long 6 months thats just my thing.. just don't get a retwist every month type ish or you'll look bald and end up getting "barrel twist" all the time to give you that "thick" look. If you just have to have the fresh retwist look try to hold out at least 3 months. Also oils weigh your locs down which ="bald scalpy look" If you want volume, thick foundation... use natural plant water-based and don't go crazy with oils. Unless you just like the fresh retwist look. I use rose water(smells fire) every 2 days to keep them hydrated and growng so I don't have to mess with oils. Not everyone has this issue but oils made my head itch but it did help it grow fast ("black castor oil plant based" all natural). So I use the castor oil once a month bc its all plants n fruits so it does help but imagine the migos and imagine Bob Marley...which style fits you and rock out from there. Welcome to the community!

I’ve noticed that oil and water spray doesn’t create build up for me and is a great way to add daily moisture to my hair
you should be wetting and then putting on oil, water and oil don’t mix and using oil alone is locking in dryness not moisture

2 strand twist and the size is prob medium. to loc up it takes between 4-6 months but it all depends on ur hair🤷🏾♂️

take tiny rubber bands and put them on the roots, stay away from too much gel, and wash twice a month
