What a thrilling race... oh boy. As a spectator, this is what I love about this motor sport category, raw racing, no team orders and letting the drivers go at it. Awesome stuff !!!

Rossi needs just just give up his seat. Go ride on Aprilia or something.

i've gone around a bend on a bike @ 180kmh in the rain is scary as fuck. To race in the wet takes balls of titanium and mad skills.

I agree man. But I don't feel scared while actually riding in the rain at high speeds but when I think about what could've happened to me after I finished riding, that's when I get scared haha. Maybe too much adrenaline is blocking my mind but damn it's scary when you realise that you're probably gonna die if you made a small mistake
Lucifer Morningstar haha. true actually. Once we're on that machine, we're a totally different person altogether. I actually prayed hard that the front tyre doesnt give way whilst going around the bend at that moment. Thats when i started to have fear but kept going anyways.

I remember watching this when it happened, definitely one of the most thrilling races of the year
7 years later Rossi still winning races and getting podiums, points, still employed, marketable and has made his own team, which debuts in 2022. Incredible.

rossi loves to test the front tire when he rides taking it to the very limit of holding he needs bikes that can do that or his confidence goes away.

Rossi`s Ducati-career was a big disappointment.
For me thats Just a little bit disappointment.
He just about 2 Seasons in Ducati. Maybe he needs about 3,5 / 4 seasons to make his Ducati better. He always consistent in big 10.
Stoner only need 2 seasons to make it fast.
But Rossi is diffrent with Stoner on Ducati.
Ville Rautanen Such a shame in the end. I remember my dad every season saying he wanted him to finally got to Ducati, but it just wasn't as good after 2008. No stoner on it, who drove it like he stole it, and it isn't as good as today's Ducati.

no not maybe, ducati has been very inconsistent, every bike changes every year, even ore with a new rider, valentino got the bad of the stick he was in the heart of ducari miseries,

@@Tejas_ He never liked the fame of top level racing, just wanted to ride a bike and go home to his family. After having a kid and seeing Simoncelli's death on track, he decided to retire whilst at the peak of his career.
Saw him on a fishing show recently.

I completely agree. Occasionally I'll play on my R1 in the rain at speed, but the backend will break a little loose in a turn and it reminds me that I should probably slow it down. Takes balls to continue on at that point.
I totally agree, I do track days and these guys are faster in the rain than I will ever dream to be in a dry track.

It's too bad that Rossi did not well enough on the ducati, because the red livery combined with his yellow was just amazing. The best livery ever along with this years petronas and monster yamaha livery.
The one moment epic ever in motogp
2:50 you can clearly see the lack of power from the ducati to the honda. Rossi couldnt pass on that straight even though he had the upper hand coming out of that corner. The ducati wasnt competitive. Honda and Yamha are, in my opinion the best bikes.
You're not alone, I think their reputations speak for themselves huh, you're not going to find more reliable bikes that's a fact!!! Ducati has made some beautiful bikes though!!! 916-998 were works of art!!!
Have you not seen Ducati and Suzuki’s. Honda is underpowered these days. Marques makes the bikes better than they are. Rossi needs a podium bike to win. Always has.

In my opinion, Casey still the best rider in Ducati (not Dovi) coz Dovi won after many development in every sector.. But Casey win used Understeer bike.. Even Vale fail to make this bike winning a championship due this complex problem

I like this video.
In the past, racers were very competent, there were mutual manners. And safety takes precedence.
But the moto gp now selfishly doesn't care about the safety of other racers. Too ambitious to be a champion.
This happened when 93 appeared in the Moto GP class.

I think the top 5 riders of my generation are:1. Valentino Rossi. 2. Marc Marquez. 3. Jorge Lorenzo. 4. Casey Stoner. 5. Marco Simoncelli. Those riders racing together in their prime would probably be the greatest race of all time!

That Ducati was a dog even the straight line speed and acceleration sucked. People talk how Stoner won with Ducati as if relative bike performances are the same every year. Stoner won in a rocketship, yes it may have been hard to tame, but it was fast. Rossi's Ducati wasn't even that quick on the straight.
valentino rode the same bike casey took to 3 wins and 9 podiums and couldn't even get within a second off the leaders testing at valencia.
In that one moment, most of the paddock realized for throughout their previous battles, valentino had the best bike, stoner had the better skills
the rival ducati bike better......
Straight line speed doesn't mean shit in moto gp. Speed on the corners is everything - entry and exit speed. Rossi lost the 2015 WC by 3 points and yet his bike was the slowest and his teammate won the WC on the same slowest bike on the straight and Ducati was the fastest followed by Honda.
