    It’s great how HEAD is a major tennis brand and corporation, yet still retains a small enough core management structure to be easily identifiable and visible, such as Dennis, Martin and Ralf. It’s obvious how much passion they have for the game, and the way that translates into their respective roles.
    It’s a huge credit to them for making themselves accessible and every interview with them always provides numerous interesting insights into the industry.

    It is great that IsoSpeed makes most of Head's strings now. They are a superb string brand!

    Not one thing changed in my set up that used PPS syngut including the stringer & machine The white looks different, and the new string feels softer. I do like the Boom Blue colorway. REply to the answer at 37 minutes into the podcast.

    as someone who really likes natural and recycled materials ..
    a multifilament made from bamboo would be really cool, strong and firm yet flexible fibers
    production would be really time consuming though
    trying out hawk power right now and it feels really good in my prestige mid
    but still prefer lynx tour and velocity more
    feel : around a 9, power slightly lower than hyper g at the same tension

      not to mentiom the equipment you would need for production and also guarantee to get consistent quality using any natural fibers … but there might be something at some point…😉😊

    Question for Dennis Fabian? How did you get the Gravity Tour to 310gr and 305mm unstrung coming from 305gr and 320mm? Thanks

    I realize this is very late, but about one minute in, Dennis refers to Lynx Touch as a soft string. Is that what he actually meant? I thought Lynx Touch was a very stiff poly. I hope Michelle or someone will take time to answer this--it may save my 73 year old arm. Thanks!

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  7 місяців тому

      Just my two cents, Lynx Touch is the softest option within the Lynx family, so in the classification of poly strings it is one of the softer and more forgiving options. For us playtesters who primarily use co-poly strings, it does feel relatively soft and forgiving on the arms. That said, if you open up the discussion to the full spectrum of strings, say natural gut for example is going to be your most elastic, comfortable, and a soft feeling string, or a multifilament like Head Reflex MLT which is also very soft and comfortable, then the Lynx Touch would be firmer feeling in comparison. That said, Lynx Touch is one of the more comfortable and forgiving strings for those looking to try a poly for the first time, and or use it in a hybrid. If we are talking about stiffer firmer polys, we would be looking at Lynx Tour, or Head Hawk. Troy, TW

      @@tenniswarehouse , thanks Troy. I really appreciate you getting back to me, especially on a relatively older post. My question rose because TW's university shows Lynx Touch with a stiffness of 222. By comparison Lynx Tour comes in at 229. That difference seems fairly insignificant to me, but I'm certainly no expert. I was comparing it to nylons and it just seems to be something other than "soft". Since Dennis specifically mentioned trying it in my racket, an Extreme MP, maybe I'll give it a shot. Thanks again... Btw, I use Lynx Tour--but in a "softer" racket (an older Head Gravity); I think that combination works well for me.

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  7 місяців тому +1

      I see your perspective, and based on those TW university numbers it definitely puts the Lynx Touch in the stiffer category of polys. However, one thing I have learned over the years is that the TW University is a great tool and resource, but in certain cases specifically with spin potential and stiffness numbers for strings, you have to take it with a grain of salt so to speak, and sometimes the on-court feel doesn't always correlate. In this instance, I would definitely put the Lynx Touch in the softer category, and I would have thought it would have been more similar to string closer to the 200 range. But like you, I have typically used softer thinner beam racquets and like how they play with a firm crisp poly and try not to string too tight, usually I string them between like 45-48 pounds depending on headsize and pattern. Hopefully you can find the best setup for you, and enjoy your court time. Troy, TW

    But why not recycle old used strings to new? Then you control the supply yourself

    • @dennisfabian4226
      @dennisfabian4226 Рік тому +3

      In general a really good thought, the challenge is to get basically the right „trash“. If you imagine the situation in a shop or homestringers, you would need to have all string options separated and at the end also collected, transported to a recycling facility, make sure the material is again strong enough for the mechanical properties of a „old new“ string …. All of this already makes it pretty challenging….but never say never as it isn‘t something we haven’t thought about so far…
      Appreciate your thought and comment 🙌
