    I would've liked to know how they prepare for the tournament. Specifically, how do they know which strings and gague they need to order and how much?

      Most pros travel with reels of strings and tend to stay fairly consistent with the gauges they use and will change tension if anything depending on weather, speed of courts, etc. Each player varies on whether they like new fresh strings for each match; some need a fresh set up, others just play til the strings break or feel dead. Hope that helps!

    I love Head as a brand. Used their rackets for years through high school and college. Even the prestige and gravity hurt my arm now and I need a full bed of poly to keep the ball in this high altitude lol. I switched to prince phantom and absolutely love it! Really wish prince gets back to its former glory.

    He mentioned the gravity tour, the one racket we cant get in the US. 😔

    I’m not the tinniest bit sold on poly/poly hybrids. I see people rave about it all the time but I think the benefits pale in comparison to full poly or syngut or multi hybrids. Would love to hear other people’s views on the matter.

      I think it depends on what you are looking for out of your hybrid. Poly /poly is definitely not going to provide the same comfort a natural gut or syn/multi hybrid can offer but it will be fairly durable and you can add sharper strings with more bite in the mains and a slicker cross for all the snap back. But that's just my 2 cents! I prefer a firmer feel, so poly poly hybrids are for players like me who aren't looking for a bit of added comfort. Always fun to try different ones out though! :)

      @@tenniswarehouse Understood, I agree with what you said Michelle. I only play with round polys but can understand that someone who likes shaped polys may want a round cross for extra slickness.

    That stringer in the back looks like he's stabbing the string bed. What is he doing?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  Рік тому

      It does look like that, however he is likely using a blunt tipped awl to straighten out the crosses, or making sure to get the mains and crosses in perpendicular alignment. It may look aggressive, but with a blunt tipped awl you won't do damage, as it is not going to catch the string directly. Troy, TW

      @@dennisfabian4226 In the US? Don't tease us., where can we find it? I've looked all over the internet and even the Head website only shows 16 and 17 for the US. 😯🙏
