With Tim on lead, you have to appreciate Chance's continuous bass, and Adam's vocal percussions keep that perfect two-step drum going through the whole thing and then Rob and Austin drop in the high notes along the way. They did Randy Travis' original proud, not overproduced, and they kept the beat going just like you'd expect for any Texas two-step.
They can identify. Bless them all. May they all build great families.
Chance is doing the bass line which he does really well. Love Tim's voice and Adam's beatboxing is perfect.

@@gregpeacock5497 I think that’s why Tim, Adam, Geoff and Layne and possibly Avi aren’t in the same group together, that much alien 👽 would alert the government and they’d have to escape back to their own planet, ring of fire was pushing it, which is why they’ve never collaborated since. 3/5 is too many.

Chance was the bass in the last a capella group he sang with, so he often takes the bass when Tim sings lead. You see it again in Snow Globe.

Randy Travis was literally my favorite country singer when I was a kid, so this brings back so many memories

#SubscriptionSquad My husband introduced me to this song forever and ever ago and I'm gonna love it forever and ever too lol I loved it when Tim looked at his own gray hair. Adam looked like he was having a good time beat-boxing this one.
I followed Randy Travis' career and even was able to attend a concert to hear him live. What a great vocalist. Home Free pay homage to him in spades with this effort. And the lyrics are timeless and crossover to many generations and touch our relational emotions and Home Free brings that to the forefront once again.
I know Tim has the lead and does a remarkable job as always when he does and he certainly shined. However, everyone else caused a platform to hi-lite his effort superbly. As mentioned Adam Rupp just brings the percussion to life that is impeccably spot on. Adam Chance delivers the bass line that is like how do we have two basses that good that can interchange like no other group I know (Wow). Then Rob and Austin add whip cream and cherries on top of this spectacular dessert. They all can do what is needed and it just melds together like no other group. The only thing you can predict is that their presentation/production is always amazing. 🎨🎡🎢🎪🎈🎁🕶🎞🧨😀❣
I think these guys did a great cover of Randy Travis' song especially with Tim taking the lead. What I love about Home Free is how respectful they are of the original song without adding unnecessary things. No theatrics or bass drops. Just beautiful singing & harmonies with Adam adding his special touch. I thought it was cute when Tim sung about hair turning grey & he looked up at his own hair.
I've always found that simple is harder because people can hear your mistakes more easily. I love the way the can listen to each other and blend, or not blend if the song calls for it. A lovely rendition.

I always need to try and remember that Home Free is, first, a touring group. While in concert, they each have their own microphones (even different compressions) so they can recreate the studio work on stage. With their videos, they definitely record their own tracks and then they are put together. There are a few concert shots in select videos where they would be singing, but even then, those are linked to the studio recording for the video. Most of the video shots are lip-synched just so the video looks good while the sound is the studio recording.

Thanks for your great reactions. The only thing I know about music is how it makes my heart feel. You help me understand why it makes my heart feel the way it does. Home Free always makes me feel more in touch with being alive. Another reason they are my music and people of choice. This beautiful cover felt like holding hands with a trusted loved one in a cozy place.
For some additional amazing Austin and Rob you need to check out their recently released, Two Country Singers Try Singing Opera / Nessun Dorma. That one is on Austin's channel. Home Free has so many new releases and of course they are all great. Love to watch your reactions and hear your comments.
Tim has stated that they record the songs ahead of time and do the videos later. One reason is all the background noise that the mics pick up.

I would like to hear your analysis of Go Rest High on that Mountain. While good when Chris Rupp was in the group With the addition of Chance, their sound was filled out. I am speaking as 25+ years in Sweet Adelines.
HF will almost always record in studio, then they sing with a playback during the video shoots.
Always wondering the important stuff. KUDOS on that. I think they did something like the Angelina Jordan video of "I Put a Spell on You. Some of it showed each individual artist in the sound cubes and then they showed everyone together, even with different Mics. Shows BOTH the original recording And the Filmed Up to look nice for the video. They are Professionals. Angelina also, but we're focusing on Home Free. LOL Great reactions.

Austin and Rob just dropped their version of Nessum Dorma, I thought it was outstanding, like to see your reaction.
This song is even more cute when you know something most Christians don't even know, that the Hebrew word 'Amen' literally means, 'it is done' which, in ancient Hebrew was basically like saying 'its written in stone'. It was a statement of faith and concrete belief not just a period or exclamation point for a prayer.
This is a great cover of a Randy Travis classic. The key fits well for Tim's range.

Randy Travis song is an easy song to sing. He has a low voice and comfortable for him to sing. Just like Tim.
Love Adam's bass background, so mellow compared to Tim's resonance!

Have you seen Debbie Dawson on AGT? If not, definitely worth a listen. There are 3 or 4 good vocalists in this years group of cotestants. Hello gorgeous, have not seen you in weeks, my god how I've long to see your beauty.
I love home free, but I feel like this song didn't come close to the heart or soul that Randy Travis put into it. It is a solid B- for me.
Just wish you would loose the eye makeup and grow your hair longer though.
