Molten Universe from Kyuss melted my face like over 20 years ago. That's why I'm ugly af, even my mother doesn't love me anymore.
im sorry to hear that, bro😂
Jesus loves you
that guitar tone is awesome its somehow thick and heavy at higher pitches yet stays clear and audible
Acid king really deserves more respect in the genre. Busse woods is a top tier stoner album.
I just listened to it for the first time recently and couldn't get electric machine out of my head for a week
They do
Into the void - black sabbath. Greatest stoner riff IMO
And the riff really has nothing to do with the rest of Into the Void; it's just sort of tacked on at the beginning. Still one of the best.
Church of Misery are absolutely packed with killer riffs, my favorite has to be the main and outro riff of El Padrino
One of the greatest doom bands of all time IMO
@@DoomTones true, i am unhealthily obsessed with em.
Elder and YOB in one top ten list... I can't believe it! You got taste man and delivered killer tone and playing!
thanks, i appreciate it!
Boy I was gettin worried you weren't gonna showcase some Electric Wizard in there... Glad I was pleasantly surprised.
wouldn't be a stoner doom list without em´
Killer list bro!!! Can’t argue with a single track. The fact you did Sonic Titan for the Sleep track, and Supercoven for the Electric Wizard track is def thinking outside the box! Most people would probably say Dragonaut, and dopethrone or funeralopolis, respectively. Also hats off to your guitar tone it’s devastating!! I absolutely think this is the best list video I’ve seen in forever!!
Thanks a lot, i appreciate that! For me, Sleeps´ and Electric Wizards' most popular songs are not neccesarily my favourites. I like Come My Fanatics more than Dopethrone for example. 😀
also elder in general, first two albums are fire
Crush pro 120 is an incredibly underrated head! It’s my go to even over my tube heads. 🤘💀🤘
Ok bro. This is the video that is getting me finding doom bands. Nice shit
Subbed, awesome riffs!!!!
The Orange Crush range really delivers for doom and stoner.
Thanks for the sub. yeah, the Crush Pro is🔥. Interesting to see what Orange does with solid state in the future.
His les paul like guitar is sweet to, maybe he just got a good one of it had a sweet set up? It happens.
Another awesome selection! Great playing as always, love these riffs! Welcome back 🤘🏻
Thanks a lot!🤘 Good to be back and making videos again!
ayyy always good to see church of misery getting some well deserved love
keep on keepin' on my man.
gonna make a top 10 for them at some point for sure.
As a sludge fan this is badass.. Its like blending crowbar with clutch..
Hell yeah man! Killer selections, I love all these bands, nice work!
Thank you!
Start of with one of my favourite Kyuss tunes.......earned a subscriber!
thanks for the sub!
Nice to see another left-handed guitar player around here
Lori and all the various acid bath bassists are underrated af
Love your channel. Crushing tones and riffs!
Thanks!
Welcome back dude
Thanks!🤘
Awesome man
tasty crunchy heavy fuzz. just what I needed. thanks dude.
Yeah man happy to see some Elder ! Love these guys.
unique band
I want to listen this all the day, great tones, great job
Thanks!🤘
Strong comeback! Killed it as always!
Much appreciated!
Sounds fantastic!!! Great to see a lefty in action with a proper guitar!!
that's a sick guitar! I love that it's unique. actually, your whole rig is super sick!
thanks
Yooooo, seeing yob, elder, and church of misery was so awesome, loved the video
thanks!
Really clean dude, well played!
Thanks a lot!
Killer list man
thanks!
I went to go listen to Elder's Gemini, and found that I actually much prefer your tone.
i was surprised by that tone at first as well. there is not much gain on it. but i have come to appreciate it with time. its a vintage tone.
Yea, his here was superior. But probably better guitar and amp tbf.
Great tone man. This is a great list. I'm glad to see Elder on here. 🤘
Love seeing Elder on there!!! Absolutely killer picks!!!!
Thank you!
Anytime bro!
Yeah excellent choice. They don’t get the recognition they deserve. Should be and could be bigger than mastodon and baroness level of acclaimed achievement. In my opinion. #Elder
Absolutely dude!!
fuck yes!!!
Ur vids are great my guy i love them keep it up bro
thanks bro
Awesome job man! Also great to see another left handed player!
Thanks! I wish this Italia guitar was left handed, lol. I dont have acces to the higher frets. The struggle is real!
Mighty good tones you're getting there from that solid state, traveler
Much obliged good sir!
Nice to see a fellow lefty smashing out some heft!
🎸🤘
Holy fuck just a few milliseconds of Gemini and I knew you had done your homework! Good shit bro keep it up 🤘
appreciate that! thanks
So good! 🤘🏼💀
great channel 🤘😎🤘 i subscribed
Thanks for the sub!
Madness of an Architect is such an awesome song!
They opened with that song last December when i saw them in Portland. There where people howling like wolves at the moon, that shit was crazy haha.
Super Doom!! Super Beautiful Guitar!! Thank You!! Share
Epic!!❤
Elder caught me by surprise, love that riff and whole album. Great video.
thanks!
Great riff selection
thanks
That Elder riff always hits so hard. So glad you put in there!
Great video! It's good to see you again! My favourite riffs are "Gemini","Bull" and "Madness of an Architect"
Thanks, good to be back!
Fantastic, really good
thanks a lot!
@@DoomTones No problem ;)
Another good one, excellent job! Sometimes I hold my phone upside down when you play the blue guitar.
thanks! hehe. yeah, i wish this guitar was left handed...
Nice Italia guitar...You don't see those around too often...I have a few myself...Great riffs 🤘🤘🤘
thanks. yeah, this Maranello is one of the best sounding instruments i have ever played
Saw Church of Misery on their Uk tour last year. Their singer is one trippy dude.
Awesome picks. I'm 50 so for me early Fu Manchu, Nebula come to mind first but there's so many good bands to choose from. Great tone too, good job!
thanks a lot! yeah, there is so much amazing riffage out there! Its hard to choose!
Great taste
thanks
love to see the right handed guitar stringed upside down, i could never get it to sound good. also the dead roots stirring riff.. idk who you are but i like you man, you are a good one.
thanks bro, i appreciate that!
Nice tone, doom tones
Fuck yea some Weedeater and from their Blues-iest album (imo)!
Would love to hear High On Fires "Yeti" riff at one point, simple yet so menacing and lumbering.
This is the most immersive guitar sound that I've heard 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
thanks a lot! i appreciate it!
@@DoomTones 💪😉
Максимальное уважение за то, что в описании все что нужно расписано
thank you!
Автор ебать постарался
Should've put Acid King - Red River here. Brainmelting.
Nice Corrupted hoodie!
Killer! 🤘
Nothing makes me want to grab my guitar more than some nice thick doom riffs
that tone homie. good shit. ihave the same equipment minus the cab.
👍🤘
That note bend in the first riff clicked the sub button without me knowing, oh well...
hehe, thanks for the sub!
@@DoomTones My pleasure👌
Acid King is one of my top favorite bands.
Stoner, przyszłością rocka, pozdrawiam, fajnie się tego słucha
thanks! 🤘
👍
Trzeba kuć kamieniarza
The HOF riff slaaaaaaaaaays 🤘🤘🤘
I could just hear; Time to wake up, on that In Our Blood.
love the tone...any vids on it? thanks great vid.
thanks! signal chain is in the video description
this is the greatest video on the interwebs
appreciate that!
Fucking sick as always!
Appreciate that!
PLEASE DO MOLTEN UNIVERSE IN ITS ENTIRETY!
Really great choices. I would have chose completely different stuff, but that's the beauty of music, your taste is mad awesome, and you played en all well. I loveme a solid state orange amp, they ate bulketproif.
Thanks! This genre is gonna need a part 2 video for sure.
@@DoomTones Methostopheles would be very deserving of a track imo....much love Def a part 2! Heck make 3 lol!!
Awesomeness 🤘🏻
Thanks a lot!💀
@@DoomTones you & I have the same rig & pedals. I'm dying to know what your settings on the cr120 & pedals were for Electric Wizard lol
@@BubbaZanetti_375 Hey man, how have you been? How is the SG you modded, what pickups did you put in it? I started looking into SGs after you said you got one, and my next guitar is definitely gonna be an Epi SG standard, no doubt. I got the the EW tone for this vid using these settings: Orange Dirty channel. Treble 9 oclock, Mids and Bass, 3 oclock. Gain 2 oclock, Preamp volume max. Superfuzz settings: everything at noon except bass maxed out. Fuzz 1 setting. Impulse response is Ownhammer Heavy hitters 2, (i use a blend of Emperor 4x12, EDVH 4x12 and Zilla fatboy 2x12 cabs).
@@DoomTones thank you so much, brother! I've been good, man. The SG turned out great. I put a Seymour Duncan distortion in the bridge & a Seymour Duncan 59 in the neck. The only thing original is the wood. All electronics/pots all CTS & cloth wire, etc. tone pros locking bridge & tailpiece, Graphtec Tusq xl nut, & Hipshot tuners. I played it hard for two hours then had it cased for a week while I played my other guitars. Took it out last night & it was still in tune & intonated. Great guitar. I have a strat partscaster but I'm partial to flatter fretboards. My Charvel SoCal & ESP EC-1000 are my only other guitars. Still stock on those.
Your'e in Sweden?🇸🇪
@@BubbaZanetti_375 Yeah im in sweden. Damn, you got the Esp EC 1000? Looks really good. I just put wilkinson alnico 5s into my les paul tribute and it still sounds boxy and jangly and gross, i guess some guitars are just hopeless...All this time i have been EQing the shit out of that gibson trying to make it sound decent, but i think im done with it... lol. I have lately been so amazed by the Acapulco clone i built, that I'm am definitely hooked on the whole pedal building thing now, looking all day for schematics/kits to build next! Probably gonna build the Parenthesis Fuzz life pedal clone next. Its like, now i can build all the expensive pedals i cant afford! lol. I appreciate your support man, thanks for all the comments and everything! 🤘
Now I need a Spotify playlist
Paso Inferior is so fucking dark , nice shirt 👏
thanks. yeah that album is perfection.
I was bobbing my heard on riff one as soon as I heard that pure chuggage.
yeah, Stoner doom has some of the best riffs ever
Great selection, some of my favorites. Not to be a dick, but you added a beat to the YOB riff that isn't there, just fyi. Good playing & tone, keep it up!
Sounds killer! Are you using the DS-1 for the Elder track? Really digging it🔥🤘🏼
rat into orange crush on all tracks except electric wizard
Muito bom
Nice playing! Ya gotta get that tone doomier though!
lefties unite!
Yes sir
Yes sir
Stoner Rock got to be coolest form of rock!!
Very tasty riffs….
Thiccccccccc and Juicy Tone Bubba!
I'm looking for some aftermarket pickups to throw in my Epi SG. I was looking for a low to mid gain humbucker or p90, like Fuzzlord's Alchemists, but they're out of stock. Any good pickup recommendations for stoner doom? Your tone is impeccable. You obviously know something I don't.
thanks! i really dont know that much about pickups. haven't tried too many of them. All i know is that im a wilkinson pickup fan. These are Wilkinson WVC humbuckers that came stock on the Maranello (supposedly they are close to real PAFs, but i dont know). I recently also bought wilkinson alnico 5 overwound open pickups that im gonna put in my SG copy.
@@DoomTones Looking at the first few Google results, it seems like the Wilkinson WVC humbuckers have roughly 7k resistance in the neck and 8k in the bridge, which is right within the range I was looking for. The Alchemists I mentioned before are 8.5k and 9.2k respectively. I'm not an expert by any stretch, but generally the higher the resistance, the hotter the pickup. A medium output pickup should retain more clarity in the high end while using heavy fuzz pedals and low tunings (quoting Fuzzlord himself here). So you stumbled into the perfect pickup for the genre, haha.. I'll definitely look into getting some. Thanks for the quick reply! You helped more than you know!
Rad!
thanks!
Amazing tones! Im curious about the amp settings on the crush
treble 9 oclock. middle and bass 3 oclock. gain 2 oclock. preamp volume MAX.
@@DoomTones thanks dude, *awesome! And how about the rat?
@@LZen. Vol: max. Filter 12 o'clock. Distortion: some songs 9 oclock (here the RAT works like a boost) Some songs MAX distortion, more fuzz like.
Yob is love!!
saw them live a few years ago. i have never felt such energy at a show as when they played "our raw heart". profoundly powerful
Elder are epic 👍
Yep. That's why Jimi Hendrix was not a "Les Paul" kind of guy. Look at that over-cut. Now I'm picturing Jimi playing the high notes, with just his thumb. 😃
Hendrix playing a Les paul would have been dope. there is a little footage where he plays a black les paul, but sound quality is pretty bad.
Church of Misery slaps!
Elder - Hexe
Is that the Solid State Orange amp?? Also, all of us lefties have to do what we have to when it comes to Guitars, Great Tone by the way
yeah. orange crush pro 120
Love some Black Sabbath like riffs.
Electric Wizard for sure man (Stone Magnet or Funeropolis have just maniacal riffs). Excellent list
LEFT HANDED QUESTION: So I bought a right handed fender cyclone S neck H bridge, Im having trouble with not messing with the volume and tone knobs. My buddy said I might have to get it circuited straight through, do you have any tips with that because I like both the pickups and don’t want to sacrifice either of them.
sorry i dont understand the question. what does circuited straight through mean? what are you asking exactly? how do I avoid accidentaly messing with the knobs?
Yeah, sorry if it was confusing, do you put your tone and volume to 10 and put tape over it?
@@aylentrees i sometimes accidentaly turn down the tone knob when playing. lol. i actualy want to somehow tighten the tone and volume knob so that they require more force to turn, so that they dont accidentaly change in the middle of playing. but im too lazy to do this. Im probably gonna change out these big chrome knobs to smaller ones, so that they dont turn so easily.
@@DoomTones Get yourself some felt washers and put them under your knobs. Cymbal felts work if you can get them small enough. Take the knob off, put the washer around the shaft of the potentiometer, then put your knob back on. It's an old jazz man's trick!
God damn there isn't a bad electric wizard riff.
Bonecrushing riffs!!
Nice sound what is your set up
thanks! the signal chain is in the video description.
