Guitar tone:
Italia Maranello Classic (C standard, drop A# tuning) 56 gauge
ProCo RAT 2
Orange Crush Pro CR 120 (Dirty Channel)
Ownhammer Impulse response (Heavy Hitters 2)
The Orange 120 is connected to a 1x12 Eminence Swamp Thang cab, but for the recording, I run the preamp signal into my audio interface (line-in) through the FX send on the amp.

Lefty represent!
🤘 💀 🎸
10 riffs in 8 minutes looks like funeral doom to me. Great playing!
thanks a lot!
Great tone. Amazed by how good Mirror Reaper sounds on a normal guitar!
thanks
A masterclass in miserable riffs!
Funeral Doom: for when you want to play one power chord, leave the guitar sustaining, and go sightseeing.
You really know how to get an amazing tone. The Mirror Reaper one was unbelievable. Good job, sir
thanks a lot, man! appreciate it!
Doom Tones what surprises me the most is that you got that tone and that was originally done by bass guitar.
@@gageclark2390 He's a tone wizard
@@gageclark2390 yeah, he plays like in 3 octaves. at the same time. I think he has 3 amps 1 for bass frequencies, 1 for mids, and high melody stuff. its quite an incredible setup.
This is from an interview with Dylan Desmond: "I use a 6 string bass tuned in drop A#. I have three pedal chains that split off to their own individual amps; one set to highlight the upper treble and upper mids, one for lower treble and full mids, and another for deep lows and lower mids. Each chain has a distortion and a clean channel set up in it, and the clean channels have a variety of modulators/reverbs/delays for different passages. I’m basically trying to emulate the tone/power of two guitars and one bass."
@@DoomTones bro this is fuckin sick.like it sounds very fucking doom!!inspiring to say the least.
Funeral doom and ambient/atmospheric black metal have such similar vibes
Nortt is the perfect blend of exactly those 2 genres.
Highly agree!@@DoomTones
Bell Witch and old Ahab! Nice! Great work!
Thanks!
Killer play through as always man! 🤘🏼🖤
thanks a lot!
Amazing video, love all of these bands!
Anyone ever heard of the band Deadbird? Less well know but DEFINITELY worth a listen!
Awesome video dude. I love all doom genres, and most sub genres of metal to be honest, but death/funeral doom has become my favorite lately along with trad doom.
Perfect. Thank you for making this video.
Glad to see Thergothen on here
Great riffs and great playing \m/
thanks a lot
Thankyou. Now this is real Doom. The slower the better. So much 'doom' is moderate to up tempo sludge, too much groove, too happy, too positive, it should be mournful and miserable, helpless and hopeless, utterly depressed at a crawling tempo. Playing barre chords up and down the neck with a fuzz pedal isn't doom!
Good tier video. I like the second riff a ton
Such a great drone tone in third riff!
un maravilloso universo...muchisimas gracias.desde Valparaiso, Chile
Hey! You forgot some Encoffination/ Father Befouled lmao great tone those crush pro’s are awesome
Amazing genre and bands
22nd fret feels sad and lonely
Hail the gods of doom👹
a Funeral Doom metal list without FUNERAL? why
Shape of despair
shape of despair
That shirt.. well that album .. Paso Inferior, there's a bootleg live audio, Corrupted plays that song in fast bits, it's a 2hole different beast!
DOOM ON 🤘💜🖤🦇
ahab😊
Himmlisch!
I also record this way using the FX send if the Orange Crush 120h! Any additionaly tips on recording lvls for volume on the amp/ capture device as well as eliminating noise? Its a great feature if the amp and I get really excited when I see more people using it. Im also running it with a TPA1 power amp sim!
Cool! yeah, i use tpa - 1 sometimes. My Orange preamp volume is on max and audio interface gain is very low, almost zero. I dont have problems with noise at all, surprisingly, noise levels are same as running it through my cab.
Awesome❤ whats the good tune to play shape of despair with 6 cord guitar please
What did you use for the bass lines? Sounds killer!
midi? loki bass
Amazing tone bro, what do you use to record sound from a tube amplifier? I have orange dark terror and shure sm57 but my room is not recordable at all, is that a dibox behind your back? hello from Ukraine
thanks bro. I don't have a tube amp, this Orange is solid state. I record using the fx send output on the amplifier. Straight into my audio interface (that's the box behind me). Then I use an Impulse response in my DAW.
@@DoomTones thanks for your answer, got it
@@DoomTones bro you can use the fx output as a DI out on a crush 120? Damn I wish I knew that sooner bro I love those amps. Sold mine for that reason cause I couldn’t connect it to my interface
@@noahjordan8618 yeah i accidentaly stumbled on that info a while back. I had the orange for some time without knowing that. its a game changer for me
Spirit of Rivendell Hello from usa!Hope you are well.Your country is woopin some ass.Great use of the tools available in your toolbox.Just wanted you to know people do give a fuck.Best of luck to you and your comrades.SLAVA UKRAINE

Check out Un if you haven't already!
Imo all of these bands have better riffs than the ones you picked. I feel like you just chose the main riff of the bands most popular song
Are you familiar with Asunder or Drown?
haven't listened yet, gonna check them out. thanks.
@@DoomTones Give A Clarion Call and Subacqueous a try, they're amazing records.
Hi,what tuning you're using drop C?
C standard, drop A#
@@DoomTones because of your channel I thinking to detune my guitar to B again :) good job bro:)!
@@grzegorzgrelinski3664 thanks man!
Yet the Watchers Guard is missing
That Ahab riff is sludgy as fuck, it rules. More Funeral Doom with Sludge riffs.
I want this but 20bpm faster
play it at 1.25 speed 😂
@@DoomTones you bring wisdom of the ancients

Play Helmzmen by Hell
i did HELL in my "top 5 lowest tuned doom bands video". i try to not repeat bands
no crowbar?
crowbar is NOLA sludge
Crowbar is one of the pioneers of Sludge/Doom Metal
Crowbar is an American sludge metal band formed in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1990. Through infusing a slow, low-keyed, brooding doom metal sound with the aggression of hardcore punk, they pioneered a style known as sludge metal
@Gore Groth ya i can agree with that
Ahab Played wrong
