Using the DELLoRTo FHC2013 as an example. It is not uncommon for aging lawn mowers, garden tillers or mopeds to have carburetor problems.
Fault symptoms:
- Engine won't start, runs only briefly with jump start spray (3:40).
- Engine runs rough (3:40)
- Carburetor dripping (2:23)
- Carburetor overflows (3:11)
Common causes:
The carburetor is usually leaking due to defective seals or deposits in the contact area of the seals, especially the carburetor needle. Often the carburetor jet is clogged.
