- I have a 2000 Yamaha 30hp 2stroke 3cylinder that had water in the gas. It has been flushed and fully serviced with all new carburator seals and needle x3 untrasonically cleaned, new fuel pump rebuild and new air mixture screws, fresh gear oil and i did a oil injection loop because the tank was leaking cracked. Boat test video.
what did you spray into the carburetors and why? The pressure inside your cylinders is great, mine look knackered because it only gives me 65 psi. I'll make a video tomorrow if I can.
I sprayed fogging oil into the carbs to coat the internal bearings with extra oil and let it sit while spraying into the cylinders also it’s is what you do to winterize an outboard 2stroke motor
Hello good video man. What temp reading did you in Celsius or Fahrenheit? My head temps only shows 50 degree on land. When you bypass the oil injection did you get the driveshaft for oil pump away?
Hey I did a oil injection loop so it circulated the oil back to the pump but I was reading in Fahrenheit and it got about 122 degrees from what I remember

hello from Portugal, i bought a boat that have the same engine. there is a deposit to fill with oil, i need to make the mix in the gas tankas well?

If it still has the oil injection that is working correctly you don’t need to mix the gas 50 to 1 I had deleted mine because of several leaks on the tank and hoses and they want hundreds of dollars for a used tank that might crack just the same
Is there anyways you can help me to find the fuel pump for this engine. Mine looks exactly like yours but couldn't find it anywhere. I dont know the part numbers either.
its on the side of the middle carburetor attached check Boats.net for parts.

What kind of filter is attached to your fuel hose? water separator? loking to get one for my 30d
I just used an inline filter but a water separator with the clear bottom is what I use in the big boat
Did it run like smooth then you have the separate oil pump in use to ? I’ll have the same engine and it’s rattling and shaking on idle. Use the Oilpump In now
It’s smooth I have had the lid shaking but I adjusted the front bracket and it stopped

@Haney’s Garage the book say 100:1 for engine whiteout oil injection on both 25 and 30 hp
Is it risky to go whit 100:1. I’ll not run the boat wot all the time. Mostly trolling speed and my plugs look oil fouled now on 50:1

I have same engine would it be hard to replace the alternator? mine isn't charging.
You will have to get a flywheel puller I would watch some you tube videos on it and you can gets parts off Boats.net is what I use for Yamaha outboards

Goodafternoon i have a 25ph same machine but when i am testing the machine the red light from the front is getting on. Can you tell me what is the meaning for the red light? Plus the water sestym s getting drup alittle when the light is on
Hello yes the red light being on means not getting enough oil, maybe low or float not working or the electric part stopped working or if your hoses have a leak. That’s what I would check
What you think about the impeller? Can that the reason?
@@dhiradjbhaggoe7066 no its for oil injection something failed. I would check your head temps and replace the water pump if needed

Is this motor oil injected or premixed?
I had to loop the oil injection so it is mixed because the plastic split causing oil leaks
I have the same engine but a pull start on an old 16ft starcraft it pushes that heavy old boat all my gear with a passenger about 44km/hr.. can’t complain for a 30hp I have not yet played with any different props
I have the same on my 16' StarCraft center console. Goes well enough for me.
How do you adjust the oil richness?
If you are referring to the oil injection it moves with the throttle to give more oil
We have a motor that emptied the oil in a day. My thought was that the oil is running rich in the injection, but I’m not sure how to adjust it if that’s the case.
@@nicku101 I don’t think there is an adjustment but I have heard them failing going rich might have to do a loop and pre mix 50 to 1 I haven’t had many with oil injection and the ones I have I made into a loop or blocked off
How do you adjust idle speed
So I know there is a slight adjustment at the roller but it needs to be set so wot carburetor butterfly’s are all parallel at full, but if you air mixture screws are not set right it won’t help. Top carb 3/4 turn out from lightly seating do not over seat it will ruin air mixture screws by putting a ridge on it affecting idle and during throttle ups. Middle carb 1 3/4 turns out. Bottom carb 1 1/4 turns out. Take them all out and look for damages should be smooth down to the tapered end I have seen many overseated and made ridges idle was all over the place when damaged
The other linkage is right underneath the flywheel and it measures 2.5 inches until locknut. Screws in and out but should not move on its own unless it’s cracked or broken
With the idle screw. its on the top carb- its vertical, the horizontal screws are idle mixture. Remove the flywheel cover to access it.
