Happy Thanksgiving. I am so glad I found your channel you have been nothing but helpful especially when it comes to scopes. With all the thousands of variables that there are when it comes to shooting accurately.... We all need as much information as we can get. Just the other day I brought out all my break barrels five different rifles..... Five different scopes..... And was just doing a run-through and checking to make sure that everything was still accurate at 30 yards. I was shooting freehand and all my groups were about a quarter of an inch to the left of the bullseye. I suddenly realized that I was wearing a bulky jacket because it was a little chilly... About 47 degrees. But as soon as I took my right shoulder sleeve off and put the butt of the rifle right up against my shoulder....... I was hitting dead center. It just goes to prove it doesn't take much to affect your point of impact.

One question: the point of the side focus (aka parallax adjustment) is to bring the target into the same focal plane as the reticle (assuming the eye piece is set for a clear reticle). If your camera starting position is not aligned, then adjusting the side focus will move the target and correct the parallax. The test should be to move the camera after the parallax was set right and see if there is movement of the reticle relative to the target. So what may seem as a flaw might be the right behavior. Am I missing something? Of course, some cheaper optics move all over the place with every knob....
As long as the scope body in relation to the camera doesn't move ...The reticle should not move more that just a fraction of an inch ...It really only shows up on the truly Shit Scopea
That side focus condition is news to me. I just got the Universal model for a 6.5 Grendel SPR. I wonder how that shift translates from 100 to 300 yards? Great Review!
Do the uncapped turrets move? I'm looking for a scope for a mate for a new .22 he's buying and I like the magnification and SF on this. But the uncapped turrets worry me.
If you get the chance try out a Athlon Geos 4-12x40 side focus I was amazed with the Improved glass I suspect Athlon has moved to over my two 2 year old Talos scopes 6-24x50... I have BAD eyes and could not see .223 holes @100 yards , that is until this Geos scope i can now see hits on 12 power !!!
I bought one and had to warranty the 1st one as it would not focus, the replacement was doing great and had just got it dialed in when after about 50 rounds through my .308 the lenses popped loose. Have been trying to warranty again and they have changed the customer service and warranty. The process now has been impossible to get assistance. Filled out the online request 4 times and no response. Emailed customer service they sent me back to the warranty website. Tried to get a call back on the service number and left request for call back 4 times and never received a return call. I called in at exactly 9am CT when their customer service goes live and held for over 2 hours, the rep said he would send me an email with instructions, and I had to attach pictures to get the scope warrantied. Never received the email. I called back a second time and held for 6 hours and was disconnected when their cue closed. Very, Very dissatisfied and disappointed! Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my 62 years on this planet!
Between the Bushnell AR-22 scope the 2 by 7 by 33 and the Leupold VX freedom 2 by 7 by 33. in your opinion which one has the best class and which one's the better scope for the money? thank you. great video. like your videos.

Billy a lot of it has to do with how the camera is setup. It exaggerates the movement . In real life situations it is rarely a problem except for the very cheapest scopes. Better manufacturers like Bushnell and such test for this . Scopes like centerpoint, hammers, UTG and such have this bad

Isn't it amazing that a scope will withstand the shock of a 300 Win Mag but can be destroyed by a springer air gun.. I was having a lot of trouble with raccoons tearing up my house, so I bought an air rifle to take care of the problem. Of course I intended to use my ATN X-sight night vision scope on the little critters. I just happened across a comment somewhere about springer guns being rough on scopes so I checked with someone and sure enough they said I could have destroyed my scope, meanwhile it's fine on a 308.
I want a scope for my FWB-300US, and considering the Bushnell AR 223 BDC 3-12x40... the specs look good ! Have you tried this scope on your FWB-300 ? I have the Busnell Trophy 4-12x40 AO scopes on a couple of my springers, and they have worked fine, but I don't think they are being made now. I don't have any side focus scopes, so that would be nice to experience. I would consider other recommendations too !

I've had trouble fitting a scope to my Gamo Swarm.........They are either too long or too short mostly because of the "shock absorbing" rail. Can you give me the O.A. length and tube dia.?

Alabama Outdoors44 Before you buy go to a store and have a look or if a friend has one take a look at a target on the range. This recticle was not designed by anyone with any knowledge of precision shooting . It will cover a Bulls ass at 25 yards. Perhaps my eyes are to fine. Don't be sucked in by the low price. Good luck.
Alabama Outdoors44 have a look at the Engage line of Bushnell scopes. Thin hairs wonderful glass and reasonably priced. I have purchased 3 in the last two years side focus. Big Bang for your dollar. You will not be disappointed.
my scope same as yours has an odd ball 3 clicks per 1inch at 100 yards ! Bushnell dont want to know as i cannot find my receipt as it was a present and bought for my birthday hence to say i wont be buying anything Bushnell again.
I have this scope, but it has a BDC for the .224 Valkyrie. The scope is nice, but the turrets are in milrads, and the scope reticle is in MOA . Very bad design as I have to do all the calcs in my head to convert the clicks to yards.
@@CyclopsJoeVideos I am not sure, but my repeated conversations with Bushnell did not amount to much. They kept telling me that it was basically a beginners scope. I told them that the two different types of measurements was incompatible if you wanted to be accurate.
I have the .308 version of this scope and I'm sorry but I have to disagree with this comment. Yes, for some reason Bushnell listed the subtensions in MOA but it's irrelevant as it's a BDC scope and the subtensions aren't consistent size due to this fact. Just do the maths if it bothers you and use Milradians.

Yeah I have this scope clear glass great value for money. I do find the BDA Points a little on the thick side for my liking.

Are objective focuses robust and durable? How does the Hawke Vantage 2-7 compare to this scope in quality in your opinion?

Will the non-lockable cause any issue travelling? I guess the knobs are not that easily dialed so little shake and bump are ok
They don't move a bit . They like most exposed turrets are very secure
What is the "Fox Test" you demonstrated?
To make sure scope will return to starting point
only negative i found so far is the clicks are not as loud and defined as i would like but acceptable at the price point.

I have this scope. The crosshairs cover to much of the point of aim for precision shooting. it's sitting in the box.
