My experience with CVLife has been nothing but positive. Their slings are super impressive; the elastic is strong enough to hold a 12-pound rifle without stretching when at rest, yet stretch enough to allow you to properly shoulder it. Their scopes are functional with passable glass (though UTG is better). A friend of mine bagged a deer with a Mossberg Patriot in .30-06 sporting a CVLife 4-16x44 scope.
Thanks Ron for having the patience to do a review like this. Most of us regular guys can’t stomach, or justify, spending hundreds, or thousands, on expensive scopes. I know a guy that has many rifles in his gun collection but his scope collection is 10x more valuable than his guns.
Thanks for an honest review. I'm 70 y/o I've never had an expensive scope on many different rifles and shotguns. I've never had a scope problem .22 - .50 cal. I have a Daisy BB gun scope on a .50 cal. Muzzleloader. It's held up fine for 22 years. Deer hunting @ 150 to 350 on varmints .
I bought one of these under a different name, and put it on my 22. It’s fine, no issues. It’s clear, and easy to use. I am not bought and paid for. I just needed optics for my new 22, and this fills the bill just fine. Don’t know if I’d use it on a high power rifle though.
Mine cost me $19.95 with free shipping. I'm making 250 yard bullseyes with my $180 .22 magnum rifle. I know guys with more money in their scope alone who do no better.
I slapped this same scope on my AR just to play around, and it did just fine. For 30.00 and you can hit bullseye at 100yds... It makes me doubt why I'm paying 500.00 for a name brand scope.
I had one on my .270 for a couple of years. Never had an issue, it actually performed well under the .270 150 grain. Thanks Ron for all the great reviews
Thanks for sharing your experience and glad to read of the CVLIFE's success with your .270! I was recently given a 1970 bolt-action .270 with a Bushnell 2.5-8x32 scope bought new with the rifle. I'm shooting sub-MOA with it at 100 yards at the range in good daylight, but while hunting the Bushnell's smallish objective lens fades badly at dawn and dusk, so I'm looking for an affordable scope that will gather more light. I shoot 130gr exclusively, so this scope might be a sizeable, but VERY affordable upgrade for hunting whitetails. My brother's 3-9x40 (brand unknown) has great vision near dusk. I was going to purchase a scope at 12 times the price, but this is so low risk I think I'll give it a try. If it doesn't work, it'll be welcome on my old .22. Thanks again!
@@bittabrutha31 My local range goes out to 250 yards, where I'll be trying this scope after it arrives. If you're interested I'll report here how it does.
I saw this and having had very positive experiences with CVlife in the past bought one of these. To say I was impressed is an understatement. No way you can get a better deal than this. No, it’s not a Nightforce, but for that beater 22 up to an AR you are getting a heck of a nice scope for ridiculous money.
@@rudygeorgiamulesandcountry1594I would bet that it’s a Tasco…they made affordable (notice I didn’t say cheaply made) optics for the store brands…they were pretty good scopes for the money and time and technology has climbed the ladder since those days…my grandsons has a CVLife 4-12 scope on his Hatson .177 airifle and it’s still going strong…and scopes are not known to hold up well under the backwards recoil of a springer pellet rifle.
@@smuniz9987agreed. Bought a $375 17hmr and went scope shopping 😳. I think I can wait for what I want is on sale and run an 3x9-40 I’ve got hanging around the house in the meantime.
@@peternorton5648I've always wanted a 17hmr but I've never ran across a used one for sell where I live in the mountains of Virginia. You wouldn't be cool enough to send it to me for my birthday would you? 😂
I bought this scope for my son to use on his 22 this past Christmas. No issues at all. Based on our experience with it, I bought an 1-6 LPVO scope from Country Value Life (CVLife) also to put on a AR15. No issues with it. Has been rock solid. Based on my experience with these low cost Chinese scopes, I picked up a 4-12 scope for my 350 Legend. This was some some company called Edenberg. That scope works perfectly fine too. Works just as well as my 4-16 Vortex Diamondback HD scope.
I have reviewed several of CVLife's Scopes and products and I can honestly say that every single one they have sent me is worth the money at the price point they are selling at. Full disclosure: I worked Shot Show 2024 for CVLife at their booth in Las vegas, where I met the co founders of the company, and one of them literally gave me the coat off his back.
@Valorius; Sounds like you found some good guys... I have had some pretty bad experiences working with Chinese guys, and not just one... They do say:"YMMV!"
I liked the way you set up the testing. Very professional. Well done. I did the same run on a different brand and was very happy. I bought a dozen and put them on 10-22’s for training rifles for my youth group. No problems. After 10 months the duplex X-hairs started to break, dangle and drop to the bottom. After the third, I called, they were familiar with the problem and replaced them all. It’s been almost 10 yrs and the kids will be enjoying them this summer.
Appreciate your honesty and fair review. Most people are wrapped up in brand names and symbols. I work in the trades and have worked with machine builders who had snap-on tool boxes full of snap on tools, but when they had to do any real hard or dirty work they would grab the Harbour freight tools in the bottom drawers because they didn't want to wreck their "good" one's even though both have a full lifetime replacement warranty, but harbor freight was across the street.
Thanks Ron, for taking the time to review such a "cheap" scope. I mean why not see if a bargain is really a bargain? After seeing the results from the series of tests you put this scope through my confidence is sky high that I can put this on my walking varminter and save some serious coin. Cheers!
I got a CV Life bipod for a Ruger American predator in 223 (coyote gun) for $18 and its been a jem!! 4 years running and several hundred rounds, not 1 issue yet. Cheap isn't ALWAYS bad. Like you said do your homework and sometimes it pays to take a chance 👍
Watch you forever Ron just wanted to let you know your the man, learned a lot over the years and I appreciate all your wisdom. I have found the hardest gun on scopes is a springer air rifle. Forget 45-70 or 338 ultra mag, pellet rifles are brutal lol.
Total agreement here... I'm in the (sadly and pitifully...) unarmed UK and have been looking for a cheap/affordable scope for my Weirauch HW77 (only 11.4 lb/ft because stupid gun laws, and 12 lb/ft or greater = 5years jail time...) and have destroyed (ie will not hold zero, sometimes can hear pieces jingling-around inside, etc) several "affordable" (under £80/$95) scopes in less than 50 pellets each, so I'd be interested to see if one of these can take the punishment of a springer or not? I modified a Magpul AR15 Backup Iron-Sight to create an aperture rear-sight that works with the standard Weirauch front-sight that I use for plinking, squirrels and other small vermin out to around 50 yards pretty effectively, but I turned 50 last year and my eyes would appreciate a bit of magnification (but only if it'll hold zero...), so I might see how much I can get one of these shipped to the UK for, and I'll report-back here how it holds-up IF it doesn't cost a stupid amount with the shipping...?
That's encouraging. Does that rifle have a sharp double recoil? I bought a couple of cheap Tasco scopes at a flea market for a springer 17 cal. I haven't mounted one yet for fear that it would destroy it. (even though that's why I got them)
@@senatorjosephmccarthy2720 Yes, that's right but the scopes made for break barrels are usually junk. I bought one of those double recoil reducers and mounted a cheap Tasco on it and the reducer broke. I was asking the OP about that rifle in particular.
Most of my scopes are Vortex.....all in the $500 range. I bought TWO of these CVLife scopes for my 8 year-old grandson's guns....they work perfectly....amazing.
THESE COMPANIES THAT CHARGE HUNDREDS EVEN MORE KNOW IN AMERICA A SUCKER IS BORN EVERY DAY....PRICE DOESN'T MEAN HOW GOOD IT IS THAT IS A TRICK COMPANIES USE TO SELL MORE PRODUCT....,HOW ,S THAT WALLET FEEL AFTER USING THE "KIDS" SCOPE..😂😂😂😂😂😂
I recently bought 2 new BARRA 1100z .22cal air rifles($225 ea.) for my backyard 50-yard range setup. I needed 2 rifle scopes, as the rifles come without any sights, but do have the 20mm picatinny rail on top. So I bought 2 of these CV Life scopes, simply based on pricepoint. I am very impressed with them, and now I stumbled across this video that makes me feel even better. These are the first scopes I've ever owned, and I didnt realize that the reticule had a focus adjustment. 🤷♂So I'm glad I found this video. Thanks. Also, I needed the raised scope mounts, because the rifle's 10 shot magazine needed the clearance in order to function properly. I highly recommend. With 38 grain slugs(60+FPE), I can easily dispatch ground hogs at 50 yards.
Probably the most professional evaluation I've ever watched. Great job Ron. I have owned several CV life Scopes and I am always amazed at what they will do! I haven't had a bad one yet. Great test, great shooting!!!
This was a great video. It's not just the review of the cheap scope. It's all of the information about testing it. I particularly liked the eye relief test. Granted, I do not have your experience. Even so, I learned a lot watching it. I'm not sure I could soak a brand new scope in water.
I have two of these scopes one on a cheap bca 223 Wylde upper and one on my daughters 22lr Crickett. Never had a single problem with either of them and they both have a few thousand rounds through them. Best scope for beginner builds and rookie shooters in my opinion. Cheap enough to replace if broken and accurate enough to have a blast!
@RonSpomerOutdoors if this was truly nitrogen purged, wouldn't the nitrogen leak out as soon as the caps were taken off? If it wasn't waterproof (with the caps off), then the nitrogen wouldn't have a means to stay in.
@@BillKayNJ. The sealing for the nitrogen is inboard of the caps and adjuster mechanisms. If it's sealed for the nitrogen, it's moreso sealed for water.
Call me crazy but I got one of these last minute last year and through it on my 30-06 and it worked so well that it's still on that rifle and hasn't had any problems.
One sure test is surprisingly on a spring powered airgun . they bounce back and forwards several times unlike a firearm that only goes onec back. It's surprising how many people complain about this and so it's a great test of build quality. Very interesting set of tests great information 👍🇬🇧🇺🇲

I still have an old cheap Simmons scope I used on a .22 mag as a kid never an issue long story short I had to swap it out on a 30-06 in the field. I ended up keeping it on there for a few years with a lot of rounds down range and in the field. I finally put it back on the old .22mag and it still holds zero to this day. I always thought that I just got lucky and happened to get a good one. At that price try a few more and see how they hold up. Excellent presentation as always.
I am using a CV LIFE 3-9 x 40 AO, on both of my Marlin 22s. (a model 60 and a 795) so it does have the parallax adjustment. 30 to 80 yards for squirrel is no problem. These scopes are very affordable and very useful. Thanks for the vid.
Ron, for many, many years I used the inexpensive Tasco scopes and was always extremely pleased with them. I very seldom spent more than $35 for one of them and I used them on my .22, .243, and 50 cal Black powder. I was always impressed with the clarity of the scope picture and again, I wasn't going to thread any needles with it, but on my .243 and Black Powder I was getting 1.5 inch groups at 100 yards. I finally had one that the reticles fell down after many years of use and using 150 grains of BP. So I went and bought my first "quality" scope and I bought the cheapest NIkon they had for $150. But I still love the Tasco scopes that I still have.
I sold my AR-10 and didn't want to sell my expensive variable power scope so I got one of these and put it on. I was honestly surprised at the clarity of this scope and it seemed like a solid scope. For only $30 you absolutely will not find a finer scope! Even my son liked this scope! If you need a quality scope for under$50, this can't be beat! At $30 this is a steal!
Ive used Bushnell Banner ll scopes with great success. It was all I could afford at the time and they stood up to the recoil of a 5.5 lb 450 bushmaster carbine and a 7 lb 375 ruger without a hitch. .55 - 3 shot groups at 100 yds with the 375 Ruger using 270 gr Hornaday sp's at 2,850 fps
You did an exceptional job of photographing the scope from the eye's view. Nice to see you using a Canon DSLR in such a precise manner. You just don't see that on decent UA-cam videos. Nice production and I learned more things about scopes. Thank you.
Wranglerstar did basically this same test 2 years ago with a scope they made. Ron just explains what to look for, which is the important part. I learned about 3 things by watching this video alone. I never tested the zoom accuarcy before, now I definitly will. The eye relief test on paper I have never seen before.
Thank you for your detailed and professional review. I installed a Bushnell Banner 3-9x40 scope on a Sako 85 Bavarian 30-06. It is cheaper than the rings, but it works well at the range.
First high powered rifle cz alpha 600 in 308 and scoped with CVlife 4-16 scope. Laser bore sighted it at home off a wall at about 10 yards. Did 2 honing shots at 25yrds at range and my first 5 shots at 100 yards was a 3/4" inch group about half an inch off bullseye. Scope works and is clear is all I can say. Spent 55 bucks or so Amazon.
Need more reviews like this, Ron. I trust your reviews over some random unknown. We all know about the mid to upper tier equipment. Keep reviewing lower tier “Amazon Specials”.
great tip on checking the eye relief... hope i can remember that one... I'm told that spring piston air rifles are a real torture recoil test of a scope due to the double recoil they have.
I can't imagine that it wouldn't be worth at least $30. If you were a kid who wanted a scope for a .22 or a pellet gun this would be perfect. Hell, if you're an adult saving for a nice scope this could be a good temp scope.
I've bought a few of these for my rimfires and they have worked out great. I bought a 6x24x50 and put it on an AR platform 6.5 Grendel and it shoots .750 groups at 100yrds.
I got this scope on a 12 gauge 44 mag and a 22 all working amazing I have there 4x16x44 on a 06 and 2 556s and I have their fixed 3 power little on my wife’s 1522 and there 6x24x50 on a 6.5 creed never had no issue ever
Most of the cheap scopes don't hold up well on spring break air guns. The forward and back action knocks the guts out of the scope. Even higher end scopes won't handle that type of recoil. If you have an air rifle be sure your scope is rated for that duty, or it will disassemble itself in short order.
@@daniellaws2307 exactly been airgunning for 20 plus years. I remember reading lots of people wrecking good scopes they had laying around by throwing them on a mild springer they picked up. Now days with precharged airguns so prevalent and affordable its not such a problem. Man I wish i had the options we have now when I started
I bought 2 different $30 scopes from the same website about a month ago. I searched specifically for 22 rimfire rifle scopes. I narrowed the search to +4 ratings & less than $30. I bought the two that had the most reviews. I zeroed them. My dad & I shot about 200 rounds thru each & they've held that zero the whole time.
I bought one of those exact scopes after having watched Ron but it through his "usual" torture test. LoL. I respect Ron's opinion on things (guns /ect) Mr. Spomer you're a good solid man I respect that.
I've been holding off getting a scope for my Rossi .22. I just bought this based on your review. Don't need anything too fancy so this will fit the bill nicely. Thank you.
I have two of these scopes on springer air rifles. Springer air rifles are known to destroy scopes because their recoil is reverse from a firearm. The air rifle forums had a lot of good reviews on these scopes so I decided to give them a try. No problems yet and very accurate. I have them on a .117 and .25 rifles. They also talk highly of the Pinty brand. I have a 3-9x50 on a PCP air rifle in .22. Works just as great and was not too much more over the 3-9x40 CVLife.

@@swidahooverlanding2867 Thanks for your reply 😊 I can't say what kind of lbs/ft you're getting without knowing your pellet weights, but I'd guess from the fps that you're getting just under double what I'm seeing over here, so I'd be very interested to hear how long/well these scopes hold-up for you? Edit: Having done some research since posting this reply, I think 800fps from a .25 pellet (estimated at 24grains?) will be giving nearer to 3.5-4 times the UK legal limit, as a 19grain .22 pellet at 800fps will be giving around 29 lbs/ft of muzzle energy.
Thanks for this video. I recently bought a 'package deal' .22 that came with a cheap scope and mounts, and it has worked well so far. In fact, I like it... it is a fixed scope, 4 x 32. I figure it is probably better than the 'good' first scope I experienced on my Dad's .22 back in 1960 which gave good service even though it was a bit cloudy to look through. Best wishes from New Zealand.
Thanks for this presentation, Ron. I purchased 2 of these scopes for use on my springer .177 pell rifles as recommended by another reliable channel. Their performance has been excellent in spite of brutal double recoil that is common to springer air rifles. Your confirmation of quality for a low priced scope brings me confidence in the quality of these optics.
I bought something similar a few years back for use on a crossbow, but since then it moved to my benjamin 392 air rifle plinker. You can reset the parallax by loosening the front ring and turning the objective manually. I was able to adjust parallax this way, giving me a sharp image from around 15 meters to infinity (ish) . Its not the best of scopes but I really think that for the money it's a nice little workhorse with a clear image and definitely a keeper.
Cz p10 is the best for the buck , excellent Right out of the box. Made for the working man. Metal sights , excellent cuts for press check, nice size trigger gaurd for those who wear gloves, comes optic ready. Great audio trigger reset. Good trigger cut excellent hand feel. Excellent msag drop. May i say more cause i can.
I mounted a Tasco on my 50 caliber muzzleloader , I purchased the firearm from a good friend for $75 a CVA Optima break down, I needed a quick purchase scope so I could hunt with it as muzzleloader season was close , the scope shot so well I left it on the gun many years and many bucks later it's still works great.
Hi Ron and thank you for this video. That was a pretty good test and the scope help amazingly well. For the price, you can't beat it. I think this scope would be perfect for a young shooters first .22 rifle considering that they might not be as careful in handling, as a more experiecned shooter might be. If it gets damaged from an accidental drop or bump into a tree while you're walking through the woods, it's not a huge loss. I was really impressed with the water proof test. I thought, if there was going to be a fail, anywhere, it would have failed the water proof test. But, obvoiusly, that didn't happen. So, anyway, thank you, again, for the video and the opportunity to (proxy) test out an inexpensive, but not cheap, scope for ourselves. I think a "cheap" scope would have failed most, if not all, of your tests. JMHO Sincerely, Rich Williams Astor, Florida 32102 USA!
Ron, I love that you made this video. Great and really useful review for us regular folk hunters. I just purchased one of these and am going to give it a try on my 30-06.
I have 2 of the AO adjustable versions of that scope ($40) on pcp air rifles and they are amazing for the money... They're not quite as clear as my hawke, but for 1/5th price they are plenty clear enough... Hole on hole at any airgun range is the norm. Anyway, awesome, awesome review! Maybe the best scope review I've ever seen. Truly appreciate it! Thanks.
Great review Ron. CVLIFE sent me the 4x16x50 FFP to review and i was surprised. I put it on my dad's. 223 Remington for the new Ruger Gen 2. Easy to adjust and pleasantly surprised. Awesome review sir.
In 1970 my stepfather gifted me with a little 4 x 28 Montgomery Ward scope for my Mossberg 152. I had it on that rifle until a couple of years ago when I swapped it out for a little brighter scope due to my old eyes not being quite as sharp. All of that time I rarely ever had to adjust it. It didn't have claims of waterproof or shockproof and more than once it fogged up on me to the point that I couldn't see through it. That combination of Mossberg and Montgomery Ward brought home a lot of squirrel, rabbit and grouse dinners.
Hi Ron , I always enjoy Your shows and podcasts , regarding the testing of the CVLIFE 3-9X40 $30.00 scope .To really test the durability of a telescopic sight try putting it on a powerful spring air rifle , the dual recoil forces imposed when the piston is accelerated to high speed down the piston tube then stopped virtually instantly when the piston hits the end of the tube damages scopes that don't have etched reticules , but for the money that scope appears to be pretty good. Thanks Ron catch You next time . Shoot Straight Stay Safe & Stay Well .

@@therogers4432 Hawke Optic's are available here in the UK and virtually All of them are "Springer " proof , they are also fairly affordable , I can also recommend the BSA Essentials 3-9 X40 scope which I think are still available under £100 , I have 3 of them mounted on different spring airguns and they have never given any trouble , one of them must have endured at least 10,000 shots without any problems . Yes there are better optics available but for the price Hawke and BSA do some pretty decent scopes.

I've had good luck with the Tasco scopes on several firearms. Have them on my .50 caliber muzzleloader, my 12 gauge slug gun, and 2 308 rifles with no problems.
I had a Tasco 1-4x scope on my 12 gauge Ithaca Deerslayer, and it held up for 2 seasons, until prior to the third, I noticed spots on the objective lens that didn't clean off. Then I noticed a slight rattle. It seems that the lens stack had separated. I might add that it was supposed to be a shotgun/ muzzleloader scope.
Had also the Tasco tv wide view objective 3-12 x40 which has the clearest glass for the price! I don’t think it’s available right now, the feature I like most is the wide view that look like you are viewing a tv screen in a rectangular shape on the ocular eyepiece next to being that clear glass used to mount it in my .22 & Co2 rifle!
Thank you! You are a national treasure Sir! If it was damaged you could probably contact them and they would send you a new one out free of charge and tell you to keep the damaged one, they make them that quickly and cheaply and want good ratings.
Cool eye relief test. Never seen that before. You are treasure Ron. So is that little $30 scope. Appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos. Cheers from SE Iowa.
I got the $40 compact version that is shorter and lighter and put it on a light 22lr and it has a big eye relief and u can see good.i have never been able to use a fancy $500+ scope so its good enough for me to shoot 22 at cans
I purchased a $ 36.⁰⁰ Feyachi 3x9 - 40mm objective lens, scope a few years ago, that included parallax adjustment. Mounted it on a 7.65 x 54 Argentine Mauser sport rifle. I am well pleased with the performance and amazed at the price.
Great video, thank you for the tip on checking eye relief. Some cheap scopes just punch way above their weight, I put a $12 Chinese 3-9-40 illuminated reticle on my 22mag just for laughs and to see how long before it breaks. 15 years it’s been on that rifle getting thrown in and out of the shooting vehicle. Has been sighted in twice in all that time, has been dropped and keeps working
Enjoyed learning the simple way to measure eye relief. Surprisingly, my Bushnell Banner scope has greater eye relief than my more expensive Leupold and Nikon scopes.
Myself and a friend have several of these cvlife scopes and have had no issues with any of them. Have running them on .22’s, an AR, 5.56 bolt action and .308 bolt action.
Thanks for the video. I bought the CV Life Foxspook 3-9× AO scope. Having never owned an AO scope before I wanted to try out an adjustable objective scope. Haven't mounted it yet but by just holding the scope in my hand I can focus sharply at different distances from ten yards all the way out to infinity whatever that's supposed to mean. So far I'm pleased with it. By the way, coincidentally the box my scope shipped in had a bit of a kink in it with one side of the box near the flap end had a pooched out area like the objective or eyepiece was pressed against the box however the scope itself appears to be not damaged in the least plus the scope was shipped in a bigger box with packaging material.
Thanks for a very thorough review. Today I have to return a new and very similar scope which just wouldn't zero within the turret limits at 30 metres, and on which the marked parallax distances bore little relation to the actual range. So this could be timely for me - and I like the process you went through, especially the eye relief test.
This will probably be the best endorsements CV-Life ever gets!
@HappyLittleSquirrel you own one and it raises what questions? I don't understand your comment.

You can definitely get crazy with money on some of the new scopes out there😮
I bought one of these under a different name, and put it on my 22.

Is it good for 300 yard targets at the range???
Will it perform ok for 300 yard targets??
Yes it will. Have monstrum. Feyachi and barska scopes and they are excellent on 3030 270 and 556. No probs at all
Thanks for sharing your experience and glad to read of the CVLIFE's success with your .270!
That was a great test for a cheaper scope that lets us see it's realistic performance and expectations in the field. I enjoyed watching that.
I have a 4X "Kmart" branded scope that's 44 years old on a .308 Win.
On inexpensive scope the main problem used to be internal fogging.

I do love down to earth, blue collar equipment reviews. Not all of us common folks can drop a mortgage payment ( truck payment) on a scope.😊

@Valorius;
Sounds like you found some good guys...

@@lohikarhu734 I just tested a mini red dot from them today that is literally nicer than my Holosun 507C, it blew my mind how nice it is.

You must not understand Snap Ons warranty. That is why they grab the harbor freight. It's of no loss.
Have several of these. Never a problem. Popped targets past 600 yards. Spend a lot more if it makes you happy. Superb review. Thank you!
What gun did you put it on?
I've put them on
.22-250's, .243's &
.270's.
Too, I've had good luck with Cabelas, some Nikons, some Vortex's & a very old Redfield.
Thanks Ron, for taking the time to review such a "cheap" scope. I mean why not see if a bargain is really a bargain? After seeing the results from the series of tests you put this scope through my confidence is sky high that I can put this on my walking varminter and save some serious coin. Cheers!

I have a CVLife 3x9AO mounted on a Hatsan 135 .25 cal. So far after 1500 pellets, it's hanging in there!!! I'm surprised!!! Thanks Ron.
I had to look that gun up to see if it was a PCP or piston gun. Piston guns are known for being rough on scopes, so that's a pretty decent test.
That's encouraging. Does that rifle have a sharp double recoil? I bought a couple of cheap Tasco scopes at a flea market for a springer 17 cal. I haven't mounted one yet for fear that it would destroy it. (even though that's why I got them)

You gotta love those old marlins I have seen those back in the day for 40 bucks used they have gotten expensive now.
At this cost/performance, it seems very good for a whole lot of applications and alot of what most really need.
I put one on my my sons .22 and I was very impressed by the quality and value of this scope.
I just reviewed their 4X 16 by 52 and it was outstanding.
I'm running one on a 300 blk. And consistently can hit 6 inch steel at 200 yrds.

I'm told that spring piston air rifles are a real torture recoil test of a scope due to the double recoil they have.
Amazing--the scope and your very thorough and enthusiastic review. Thank you, Ron!
I can't imagine that it wouldn't be worth at least $30. If you were a kid who wanted a scope for a .22 or a pellet gun this would be perfect. Hell, if you're an adult saving for a nice scope this could be a good temp scope.

Most of the cheap scopes don't hold up well on spring break air guns. The forward and back action knocks the guts out of the scope. Even higher end scopes won't handle that type of recoil. If you have an air rifle be sure your scope is rated for that duty, or it will disassemble itself in short order.

I can't say what kind of lbs/ft you're getting without knowing your pellet weights, but I'd guess from the fps that you're getting just under double what I'm seeing over here, so I'd be very interested to hear how long/well these scopes hold-up for you?

Great video Ron! Sure enjoy your stuff!
Very informative. Nice class, Ron enjoyed the watch.
JMHO

@@therogers4432 Hawke Optic's are available here in the UK and virtually All of them are "Springer " proof , they are also fairly affordable , I can also recommend the BSA Essentials 3-9 X40 scope which I think are still available under £100 , I have 3 of them mounted on different spring airguns and they have never given any trouble , one of them must have endured at least 10,000 shots without any problems . Yes there are better optics available but for the price Hawke and BSA do some pretty decent scopes.
I bought a $25 Tasco 3-9x40 and put it on my sons 12ga mossberg pump and he out shot 3 scopes that were $250 and up and he was shooting a smooth bore and the others were rifles shotguns, that was over 10yds ago he still hunts with it and is still deadly out to 150yds
I still use the old tasco on my muzzle loader yes the are a good scope
I got one the same way, smooth bore . Deer getter.
Thank you! You are a national treasure Sir!
If it was damaged you could probably contact them and they would send you a new one out free of charge and tell you to keep the damaged one, they make them that quickly and cheaply and want good ratings.
Thanks for sharing your reviews and keep them coming please.
Cool eye relief test. Never seen that before. You are treasure Ron. So is that little $30 scope. Appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos. Cheers from SE Iowa.
I just bought 4 of these scopes after this review. They were delivered today and seem really well made.
Sir i watch your videos with great enjoyment and you make people understand with your jolly style of explaining👍❤️
Thanks for sharing your knowledge Ron always respected your honesty
I got the $40 compact version that is shorter and lighter and put it on a light 22lr and it has a big eye relief and u can see good.i have never been able to use a fancy $500+ scope so its good enough for me to shoot 22 at cans
With the price of things now a days that's great to see! Awesome test and review
Thanks for taking the time to actually test it instead of making assumptions.
Great review, and great comments below, seems that there *are* some good manufacturers in PRC, good to know some of them!
I have a Nc Star 6-24 on a 7mag and it simply works. Never had an issue and love the reticle with the red illumination.
I bought one for my .450 AR to hunt at my lake cabin. Mostly just to see if worked and it's a great little scope. Very impressed.
Just read the comments. Nothing but nice things to say about these lol. I bought one years ago for .22 ended up putting it on my AR it worked so well.
Thank you for the comprehensive review! I went ahead and got me one of these!
Enjoyed learning the simple way to measure eye relief. Surprisingly, my Bushnell Banner scope has greater eye relief than my more expensive Leupold and Nikon scopes.
Bushnell can definitely be another good budget option.
Great review, Ron, thanks! It works!!!
I have used one on a variety of rifles and calibers. It works perfectly.
