Very Nice and recycled cans... all have multiple usages. Turing them around and placing a target inside with the lid would work too.... quick and easy. Well Done!!! A thought; fishing line thru the cans to suspend the lids inside the cans...
Glad you like them. I have more ideas coming soon. More cheap, easy and quick diy targets. Thanks for comment and for watching! Happy/Safe Shooting, AGW.
Years later, here I am, pretty cool idea using those synth corks! My first idea, as you mentioned having to put them back up was: Why not, since you already got the bolts, nuts and washer, design some kind of retaining string/wire so that the targets can still fly off, but you wouldn't have to run all over to find and pick them up. That way you could simply pull on the wire or string and reel them back in. Could maybe be achieved via hot-glueing the string on to them, at the back, so that you don't constantly hit the spot, should work nicely.
Thanks for the Ideas, I like the second one you showed with the big cans, and the one with a metal plate on a chain. Video's a little long but I can understand your proud of what you've made.
The wine corks is a great idea. You could just push the cork onto a small nail or pin? Cheaper and possibly easier than using bolts? Thanks for a great vid.
Please Note: The reactive rubber wine corks can actually be shot up to around 12 times each before they need to be discarded and replaced...when using .177 pointed, domed or round nose air-gun ammo. Thanks, AGW.
Hey there, so as soon as I first saw your setup I thought you were going to say that for the corks, you were using 3/8"- 1/2"drive magnetic socket holder strips.... thought if you put small piece of metal or opposite polarity magnets in bottom of hole in cork, you can pretty much not only guarantee a dead on shot and not just a graze knock it off but usually also practically just drop them back on and they will set them selves or at least make it a lot easier with the magnets? I think I'll make a set myself today using your cord idea as the target and I'll send a link....
Wonderful ideas, maybe some small neodymium magnets mounted on bolt heads could hold the cans flat or upright. My ¼ inch button magnets came from a craft shop. Very cheap too. Just like those solar lights, I have two, one did explode the steel battery inside. If you use wood screws with your cordless drill, a button magnet will hold a can anywhere!
Thanks again Nick...very much! New videos coming soon. Will be a combo product share and new DIY plinking Target stand I'm working on. Happy/Safe Shooting, AGW.
I have been looking for the 3" reactive target stickers you mentioned but am having trouble finding them. Can you post a link to a good site to obtain some of the items you suggest.
fasten a fishing line to the bottom of the gong type target have it go straight under the bottom wood and all the way to you so after you shoot it you can pull line to stablelise the target
Lol!:) Very good observation. Normally all of these are shot outdoors, but I had no patience this day and no time to get to outdoor shooting area. Thanks, AGW.
Where did you get the two inch steel disc? I taped together 6 Lids from those large cans and it makes a nice Target but does not have as good of a sound as the solid steel.
Nice, but you need to build a target box out of 1/2 inch particle board like I did. Plus, I guess you don't have a basement as it looks like you live in Florida. I place various targets in my target box and I can get to around 45 feet away. All my shots, even the ones that miss, are contained in my box. My wife would kill me if I were shooting towards a finished wall. Good luck..
Maybe you can help with this I have a small shooting area (10 Lanes) on my property people I know and some of their friends come to shoot on. I'v been trying to come up with a target system Alternative if they don't want to waste alot of money on shoot and see targets, and doesn't require them to walk out on the range while its hot, or have to wait for others to stop shooting to be able to reset the targets, I've purchased metal auto resetting targets but anything high caliber damages them severely. Maybe you can come up with something, or think of something budget friendly I haven't thought of . Thanks (if you have time) these are pellet rifles of calibers up .45 and .357. but the majority are .17 to .25 cal
+Raquel Bauman Hello, I too am a fan of big-bore airguns and have many friends that are as well. I am currently trying to drum up some ideas that will fit the needs you seek, as we too seek the same. I will try to get this accomplished asap! Happy/Safe Shooting, AGW.
+Raquel Bauman What kind of big-bores are yall shooting? Also, what is max size targets can be for the lanes? I am asking because we have a Fun-Shoot at least once each month and we now need the same type of sturdy targets that you seek. Glad to see the growth in big-bore airguns. Thanks, AGW.
45 and .357. but the majority are .17 to .25 cal The steel targets we were using were 1/8 inch but they didnt hold up. after a few weeks they were being shot straight thru
What pressure are you shooting your QB 78S at to get 33 fpe with 18.1 JSB .22 pellets. That is 900 fps. I shoot mine at 1500 psi and cannot equal that. Did you do other mods and make a video of it? Thanks.
cut slots behind each cork, put them all on a screw, that way you can shoot them, and instead of flying away, they simply turn to the bottom and you can shoot them to reset them
sharpshooterjd Hello Josh. Yes, the pellets were going thru both sides. I was shooting 2 different airguns in that video. One was a low powered break-barrel .22 and the other was a high powered .177 side-lever springer. Thanks for watchiing!:)
Very cool. I have a multi pump .177 that shoots up to 700 fps. I think you inspired me to get that puppy out of the closet and give it some love :). Josh
It is a bummer and I hate to wear corrective glasses or contact lenses, especially when trying to get a good cheek weld and looking through a scope. Good observation though. Thanks, AGW.
To all that have watched, "liked" and provided suggestions...Thank YOU very much!:) Will soon be better and posting more videos asap! Happy/Safe Shooting, AGW.
O.k., I read your comment yesterday and was just now able to stop laughing!:) Was wondering how long it would take for someone to comment about the "hundreds of wine corks that I have". Actually, I've some friends that own local restaurants and they save them for me. Also, I don't consume alcoholic beverages, mostly milk. Happy/Safe Shooting, AGW.
nice idea and video... can you create an improvement on my glass "shimmering" night time Targets? see 'Real Targets That Shimmer/ Halloween in April'(I wonder who's gonna start... $no, I better not even say it!)😉has anyone noticed.. ALOT of target ideas lately?
Great Video.... Great ideas...... and love the holes in your wall from shooting in the house. : ) Either your single or you have One Very Understanding wife... or did "she" put those holes there? lol : ) My wife would "kill" me if I shot in the house..... basement, Yeah..... house.. NO ! Keep those Great Idea videos, coming ! PS: Any particular type / brand of wine to get those synthetic rubber "corks" ?..... must be a cheap brand... all the better wines use real cork... Yes? No? Thanks for your efforts.. Well done.
Lol, I got in trouble for those holes actually. Not sure of wine brands/types, just get them by the bag full from friend/s in restaurant business. Thanks for watching!:)
Cool stuff - but I got a good chuckle when I saw pellet holes in the wall and base trim. Awesome, easy enough to fix too!
Very Nice and recycled cans... all have multiple usages. Turing them around and placing a target inside with the lid would work too.... quick and easy. Well Done!!! A thought; fishing line thru the cans to suspend the lids inside the cans...
Thank you very much for the inspiration. I'm gonna use magnets for the rubber wine cords instead of the nuts/bolts. Great video, keep it up.
I'm so happy to have found your video! Your targets are so nice! Thank you for this awesome idea!
Glad I could be of some help! Thanks for watching!:)
I was lookink to make some action targets.Glade I saw these. Like them all.
Nice targets and great ideas. I will definitely use them.
I like them all, thank you for sharing your ideas.

Neat idea, with the cans you could put the small ones under the top rail for some more targets as well.
Awesome video! Fantastic ideas for targets and great looking too! Thanks for the ideas!
Thsnks. Can't wait to see your targets in mass production, on Amazon. You rock!
That mini gong hanging from the chains is pretty cool
Thanks for the Ideas, I like the second one you showed with the big cans, and the one with a metal plate on a chain. Video's a little long but I can understand your proud of what you've made.
You are an awesome person! AGW!
Thanks for these great ideas. Well done.
very nice video and good reactive target ideas!
Fantastic Video Dude & Awesome Targets. Keep up the great work. Nick.
Thanks Nick, more soon to come!
Strips of plaster board taped to a soup or bean can make an excellent reactive airgun target they look like they discharge plumes of smoke when hit.
Paul Baker plaster board like sheet rock?
those targets are so cool and creative man. congrats
This is excellent. Thats whats great about youtube, you can steal all the ideas of others and use em youself! EXCELLENT! Thanks!
Glad I could be of some help!:) I too use UA-cam to gather ideas. Happy/Safe Shooting, AGW.
Very cool and creative targets!! I will be trying these soon. Thank you for sharing! Subscribed
Thank you very much! New videos coming soon!!!

great target ideas! nice clean looking builds too. :)
Please Note: The reactive rubber wine corks can actually be shot up to around 12 times each before they need to be discarded and replaced...when using .177 pointed, domed or round nose air-gun ammo. Thanks, AGW.
That is all very cool looking shit you made there my friend. I like the flat black especially.

Really cool targets, might make some similar myself, the gong was the best one :)
Play Box Gaming Thanks a lot, glad you like them!
These make good slingshot targets too!
good targets! lot of fun
That's one hobby that would keep me excited for about 20 minutes. Then I'd be looking around at what else I could shoot...
That's what you do lol. Trees, anything metal and or glass. Small animals if you arnt soft I suppose. I couldn't
lol house sparrows, squirrels and chipmunks might make it a tad bit more exciting.
Great video buddy.
Your video make me feel like to go plinking just righ now.
nice but i can see you have missed a few times in your house and hit the wall lol
Bet the wife was not so pleased about the holes in the wall...lol 🤬😡

Sucks ASS! A child (the retarded variety), could make better than this! Absolutely shite!
+Shona O'Neill Thank you for the kind words Shona...very much!:)
I don't think children (especially of the retarded variety) know how to operate power tools and spray paint...
Great targets. And I've been throwing my wine corks away. Now it will be double fun.
Glad you like the idea!:)
Attach a string to them, and the stand so you don't
have to chase them all over the place!

I have been looking for the 3" reactive target stickers you mentioned but am having trouble finding them. Can you post a link to a good site to obtain some of the items you suggest.
It's easy to make your own reflective targets, just google it!
Thanks for sharing.
fasten a fishing line to the bottom of the gong type target have it go straight under the bottom wood and all the way to you so after you shoot it you can pull line to stablelise the target
I like how someones house is in the firing line behind the target. you must have very understanding neighbours haha
Super cool!
Super Thanks!
Thank you very much, glad you like them!:-)
Cool ... I was just about to recycle a bag full of wine corks at Whole Foods!
Nice targets. I am too lazy to put together targets like these.
Thanks to everyone with creative suggestions and ideas!👍
Great idea!

Thanks!
"when the wind blows it can knock them over, so I put these bolts and washers on" - shoots inside.

looks like fun but what about the lead splashing about?
Good stuff!
What are you using for your pellet trap?
The 3" Birchwood Casey reactive targets are available at amazon.com.
What gun were you using?
How did you paint the face targets? Those look great and I would love to do that.
nice targets

The steel targets we were using were 1/8 inch but they didnt hold up. after a few weeks they were being shot straight thru
we are shooting 3" 5" and 10" targets for ranges further then 50 meters, closer targets we are using the silhouette targets same as competition.

how do you call the reactive target on your wall ? bro get a better backstop !!!! nice video
To all that have watched, "liked" and provided suggestions...Thank YOU very much!:) Will soon be better and posting more videos asap! Happy/Safe Shooting, AGW.
you should do a video on some exploding targets
nice, put a metal sheet on the table top
Great targets you could sell those if you are using cheap materials and put the money into your gear .
Nice targets bro, but, your wall is needing some restauration :>)
I tried this with a row of 5 wine bottle corks but couldn't hit a damn thing after drinking the wine!
drill a slightly smaller hole and let the thread slightly grip them.
what kind of gun
Used 2 in the video. 1 is a QB-58 .177 and the other was a B3 .22. Thanks for watching!:)
So what can we glean from this video? You don't shoot skeet but you likes the wine...
O.k., I read your comment yesterday and was just now able to stop laughing!:) Was wondering how long it would take for someone to comment about the "hundreds of wine corks that I have". I'm glad that you took my comment in the spirit that it was intended... just a friendly joke. Happy New Year!
JPVegh Lol, Thanks again!:-)
I exploded a Firebird target in my house . I will NOT be doing that again . My ears are still ringing .

Shooting lead pellets indoors? Airsoft is better for indoors.

I will note that...and do thank you very much!:)
In the house? Lmao!!
So many holes in your wall. lol
