I always find it so cool and fascinating when you bump into fellow school bus or van life travellers on the way. Such a fun interaction. Long time viewer, first time commenting just wanna say have been loving the vlogs, the production value never ceases to amaze me. I can always see how much care goes into the edit. Cannot wait for the Wedding vlog!
Wow! I cannot believe this! I have two daughters, and their dad and his family are from La Cienega, de Zimatlán, Oaxaca. It’s about a 15 min drive from Oaxaca City. In 2010, the father of my girls (who were 3 months and 18 months old at the time) was deported from Oklahoma to his home in Oaxaca. A few months later, I put everything we owned into storage, and the girls and I made the long drive to his family’s home in Oaxaca. We lived there for over 4 months, but ultimately, my daughters and I had to return to America. The ultimate goal, was to try and get him back to the US with us, but it didn’t work out. I miss the beauty of that part of the world SO MUCH (I could I go on and on). I think it’s incredible that this is y’all’s favorite city in Mexico! We haven’t been back since, and the girls’ dad never came back to America (long story). Now that they are older (13 and 14), I want so badly to take them to see that part of the world, and to meet their dad and their paternal side of the family. ❤ I loved this video!
Oaxaca is one of the most beautiful places we have in Mexico, my favorite state for sure. All the state, the little towns, the big cities, the beaches, everything is amazing, it's a place with great culture, great history, pre and post colonial, I'm so glad you enjoyed it
Love Louis’ outfit he purchased in Oaxaca. Raya, I think a 2 piece set (crop top and high-waisted skirt) would be so gorgeous on you for your wedding. I know you’ll KNOW when you’ve found the right outfit either way. Please be safe on your journey to your new home! 💛
What a nice time you had! Even when getting pulled over, it seemed like the police were really impressed with your bus! Loved the market you were shopping in and that pizza looked so delicious. Wishing happy and safe travels to you both as you head on over to meet again in Guatemala! 👍
Raya & Louis, I have been a huge fan of your channel and loved your honest journey that you always share with us. Last week when I saw that nightmare of an ordeal that you both went through, my heart went out for you. I was so so so nervous for Raya while Louis was in custody. I could NOT even imagine the state of her mind - fear, anxiety, nervous & scared in a new place. I am so so GLAD to see this video. This video is a cuddle to the heart after last week's ordeal you both went through. So glad to see you both bouncing out of it and enjoying the city of Oaxaca. Love the outfit Louis picked up. Raya, love love love that halter neck yellow dress you had tried on. Hope you got it for yourself. Wishing you both a safe, peaceful & happy rest of your drive back to your home in Costa Rica!! Love and big tight hugs to both of you!!!
This makes me happy. I was born and grew up in Oaxaca! I’m fixing up a vintage 1982 13 ft fiberglass scamp camper and plan to move back down pulling that beauty! Thanks for sharing your adventures. ✌🏽
I am so thankful to at you two had a lovely time eating and shopping and planning your future together. What a challenging time you’ve had. But great things await you!
I’ve been following Fun For Louis since the beginning and always loved the music. When you’re going back into DJ-ing, can you share one of your playlists with us?
I love that shirt you chose Louis. As soon as you showed it hanging there I said "Yes, that's the one!" I'm so glad you decided to get that one. I can't wait to see the dress that Raya chooses.
Thank you for showing the alebrijes in the souvenir shop.. my daughter (grade 5) was just learning about them and making her own in art class! Got to show her a real life example & I love that it came from y'all's channel. Finger's crossed that the rest of your journey goes well, Louis, & that Raya enjoys herself in LA but gets back safely 🤞
I got stuck on the I40 in cal for 6.5hrs one time car accident n fire. n in 1980 we live in our Toyota corolla for 6mon n police stopped us few times but 1st time the took all ours tuff sleeping bags stove n both ice chests with food n water jug. lol me n my mom I was 13 yrs old . I'd nvr do it again. it's crazy hosp visits n all
Great video guys! It’s also one of our favourite city’s too. We’re currently living in the neighbouring puerto Escondido which is also very pretty. Would be awesome to meet up if you guys are in town!
Oaxaca is a shopping paradise. The city is famous for its hand-carved wooden figurines, that you saw at one of the markets. One of the more popular characters is a mythical figure known as a dreamcatcher in which you pull out its spiny appendages and make a wish.
Loved your video. You both seem like nice people with a great outlook on life, and an amazing positive attitude. I hope your wedding was everything you desired and that your new home is working out. I am a Street Photographer who is interested in visiting Oaxaca - and discovered your video during my research.
Love the video guys I hope you guys post more. My parents are actually from cuatla Morelos Mexico not too far from Oaxaca. You guys definitely motivated me to go visit that state.... Those clothes look amazing that Louis purchased. By the way I'm glad everything worked out with the police the previous night
I think more Vegan influencers should include their experiences when dining. Although I'm not vegan that would be interesting. Love the content! There are so many of you (vegan influencers) that I like but never see that type of content. ❤
Raya your food always looks so aesthetic and delicious!! Have you considered filming vegan recipes? And Louis your vibrant wedding outfit looks amazing!!
Language barrier man, but it would be good to read/brush up on the road codes there. Lol you're a magnet because it's a bus for one and then you're also foreigners
Totally new subscriber here, just wanted to stop by and say I'm glad you are OK after your arrest! My heart just sunk when I thought of how awful that could have turned out and I was anxiously waiting to see the next video in hopes that you were both safe and sound!
Louis it's been great following along as you and Raya document your journey down to Costa Rica. Given your getting more sun as you approach the equator, how do you protect your skin from all the exposure?
Wow stopped so many times by police! Great outfit!!! We got married in Belize after we visited Guatemala, we had a leopard theme, Can't wait to see your dress Raya!!!
This is so cool!! I’ve always wanted to go here Becuase my grandma is from here and I never met her so I just want to see where she’s from ;-; thank you so much for this
Note to self* Do not drive a bus through Mexico. Vanlife would probably be easier lol... You two have handles this think champs lol Raya! You looked stunning in that dress you tried on! I love seeing you in beautiful dresses. Louis, you look handsome in that shirt!
