I had a smile from ear-to-ear while watching this video. You being invited and hosted to this celebration (fiestas patronales?) is a privilege that many foreigners living in Mexico may never experience.
Lovely video. The traditions of old Mexico still alive. It was like going back in time. One of the reasons people love Mexico. You did a great job filming it all. Loved it ❤️🎉🌟💫✨👍
Great vid, Maddie!! Thanks for showing this festival! It was fun watching. Especially because anyone could see how much fun you were having. You look absolutely radiant!!
So glad you enjoyed it so much! And thank you for the gift 💛
you are the queen of festivals. keep seeking out local, food, traditional festivals, artsians and events. show traditonal communities and engage with communities. thank you....and many thanks to Yvette and her family.
I loved that you totally did something that not many do! You went out of the touristy vibe and dipped in to the real small town Mexico. Congratulations on that. Keep explorin and be careful, always research on safety
What a great production. My face muscles are sore from smiling so much. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks you! I couldn't stop smiling! It looked like a real lovely town.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the gift 💝
This was super fun. I’m from Colorado USA. This reminded me of the parade in my home town when I was a kids.
Yes, more like this. Great job Maddie.
You looked amazing!
This was so much fun, the kind people, the food, the beautiful colors! All the ladies and girls were so beautiful in their colorful outfits. I had a great time Thank you all.
Wow Maddie, the production on this was incredibly professional. As good as any travel program I’ve watched on the big networks. So nice to see you kicking ass and enjoying life. You’re a star ❤
Maddie! This video is awesome! Keep it going and stay encouraged.
The Mexican bread making|cooking process is amazing. Honestly, I might need to build one of those stones. Save on energy and do it naturally. Shoutout to Ivette and her family who invited you along. Loved the cultural information. 💮
I love all the families together enjoying everyone in the town and of course the great food. BTW-you look so healthy and your skin is beautiful. Looks like you had a good time too.
More ! More! MORE! Absolutley loved it and reminded me of a tiny facsimile they had back in Brighton, Colorado. Got to watch my niece wear the hair and flowers and finery. Throw fruit candy at us in the Parade too! Then dancing and singing into the night. It was only one day, but we had a blast. I see you did too, and so glad you have such wonderful friends who care for you like family.
I absolutely loved watching this Maddie. My dad is also from a little town called Tamazulapam del Progreso in Oaxaca. But it was so fun watching your adventures in these other parts of Oaxaca I never knew existed. I love your enthusiasm so much too! I hope you recovered well after all that partying 😂
Dear Maddie, This is one of the best video you have made on your own. I can tell you are having fun. You have finally arrived at your most confortable being on your own doing videos. Congrats
It doesn’t get more authentic than this!! 🎉🎉🎉 Loved it!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Maravilloso vídeo. Amo a tus amigos. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Mucho Gracias!!!!
Fantastic vídeo, Maddie!!! Oaxaca is magical and beautiful. You too!!
México is a thousand worlds in one. 🤘🏼
One of my favourite videos you have ever made! More like this please, that highlight the beauty of Mexican culture 😊. All the videos you have made in Oaxaca are so fun!
That was so much fun! Thanks Maddie! And thanks to the families for sharing so much of their culture!🎉
Forgot to mention how beautiful you looked on those Oaxacan outfits. Gorgeous!!!!
I love how you observe, live, and respect their culture. You are a true world citizen.
¡Bien hecho!
Wow, another excellent, high quality video Maddie...you really put a lot of work into this one and it shows! Keep doing these types of videos and the sky's the limit for you! You looked radiant in the beautiful clothing, makeup, and flowers in your hair. In the last two videos you really look like you're having fun and we can feel your excitement, which makes us want to get down there as soon as we can. Well done!!
Maddie, I have seen probably hundreds of youtube videos about Mexico. I have also travelled all over the country for 30 years. This is the best & most interesting video I have seen. Way to go girl !!!! Please do more like this. xoxoxoxox
Absolutely incredible! What a video! You are a rockstar at filming the other side of !Mexico that we don't usually see. This is beautiful and amazing on so many levels. I just love Mexico and the people too. 👍💕💕🌻🌻
Absolutely beautiful. The real Mexico. Yes… More videos like this. Thanks for posting.
Loved, loved , loved it! It’s the type of travel/ México vlog I enjoy. Positive, upbeat, colorful traditions with history of this wonderful country. Thank you Maddie!
Maddie, you've become quite the story teller with impeccable editing skills. This is my favorite video of yours to date. It makes me want to move to Mexico. Hugs from Florida, Carolena
Those people know how to have fun, I'm loving it.
SO wonderful Maddie! Thank you for sharing a genuine & lovely slice of Mexican culture! Many many Thanks also to Yvette, her family & town❣
Such great festivities!
Wow!! I'm running the Guiengola archaeological project. It was so rewarding to see you walking through the ancient city!! These ruins are famous as this was the fortress where Cocijopii fought and defeated the Aztecs. Mixtecs helped with troops during this battle and were rewarded with the lands where Mixtequilla is now.
This was wonderful. Really showing the culture and color of Mexico.
An apology for my English, I LOVED your video, that is the essence of southern Mexico, some towns still keep their traditions intact like that town, you looked beautiful in that Oaxacan huipil 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
How lucky that you know a family in one of my favorite parts of Mexico~ I love the videos in which you showcase the culture. More, ¡for favor!
Maddie, I'm istmeño, now living in Canada. I think you really captured the true essence of isthmus festivities. I congratulate you for a job extremely well done!
Awesome video, you look really happy here 🌺 I wonder how long they've been doing these celebrations and no one ever filmed it. Now they are able to watch it and show it to their kids etc. They must be so happy to be able to see the video after. You gave them a real gift ❤
What an awesome experience for you Maddie! Thanks for bringing us along!🇲🇽 ❤
What a fun fun parade , love the colors of their costumes.
I love the colourfully embroidered clothing, especially the women’s stuff!
Me tooo! So gorgeous
@@MaddieGold The photo still for this video shows you in full Mexican regalia with a beautiful blouse on.
Maddie you look so pretty in the Oaxacan dress!!! I've been lucky enough to have been to Oaxaca City twice and I fell in love. Mexico is just enchanting!! 🥰
All your videos are always brilliant to watch, but this one is the best. It is so great to see this rich beautiful culture. Thank you Maddie!
I enjoyed every second! The tower of fireworks brought back great memories of New Year’s Eve in Huatulco many years ago. I adore the culture of Mexico….so much fun.
Maddie, it’s so good to see you so happy ... thank you for sharing such a joyful experience.
Much love from Santa Fe, New Mexico 🌽

Mixtequilla, the town where I was born and grew up. Your video brought me to tears because I miss it. thank you.
Thank you Maddie for vlogging a small town Mexican fiesta!!! I can't wait to go to my town's fiesta this year at the end of August. Toritos have always been my favorite and not so favorite part of las fiestas 🤣🤣 I want to try and record a nice video when I go this time around. You are most welcome to come if you would like ☺
What priceless experience! Really makes me miss Mexico. Can't wait till we go back.
Yes, I would very much like to see more videos like this.
