I saw Gordon a ddecade ago go to Asian countries. I always wondered of his amazement at Mexican cuisine, which is on par with the most complex Asian flavors, just as delicious. I knew he was going to be as blown away by different Mexican cuisines as he was by Asian recipes. I enjoy seeing such a nerd of good food (foodie) appreciate what it is SO good about Mexico. its truly number one cultural asset. Although I am NOT a fan of Gordon Ramsey, I appreciate his love for Mexican & all food in general. Its truly hilarious to hear him admit that he struggles with his own issues, like listening & not talking, lol. Basic Molè is very time consuming & not difficult. Of course we, at least most in the City do not use a Metate. We may use our Molcajete, however we do not use as before. Anywho, example, my Mole is Rojo/red & made half scratch. Actually, when I make a huge batch of fresh Enchilada Salsa/Sauce, I am able to make Molè from that. So for those of you atad worried that its difficult, nope, not the Basic delish Molè. Definitely ALOT of ingredients & tike consuming. IF you love cooking, you'll enjoy it. I listen to 🎶 in Español while I cook. I hope this is encouraging. I have never thought you to be an angry person, referring to the comment in the Hawaiian video. I grew up in an area where most people swore in almost every sentence and it was not a sign of anger. I appreciate your thoughtfulness of cultures, nature, and the people you visit, highlighting every one in the best possible way.
I've eaten at Contramar in Mexico City, it's amazing. Mexico City has some absolutely incredible restaurants, many Latin American cities do. I'm a first gen Mexican American and my dad is from Oaxaca. I love visiting Oaxaca, he's more from the indigenous rural areas. Seeing Gordon visit Oaxaca makes me very happy, it's so cool to see such a legendary chef learn about the rich culture of Oaxacan food
I always appreciated very much, but having emigrated, now I treasure it more than anything I can remember from there.
Oaxaca, uno de los referentes principales de la gastronomia latinoamericana. Saludos desde Costa Rica
Born and raised in the States but my parents are from Mexico. As I have grown older, I have learned to have a profound pride and love for my roots. Es un gran emoción que siento en mi corazon cuando veo cosas que contribuya al conexión a mis antepasados. Love this representation and exposure to our culture 💚🤍❤️

I love México and its people! ❤ This episode of Gordon Ramsay was beautiful!!!
This is a lie I am from oaxaca and all of mexico hates while oaxaca even peoplee in the united states hate while oaxacans, they are ugly and uneducated and they're looking upon as the blacks of mexico.
I was bullied all through high school and felt like I was worth less being from oaxaca.
To this day i deny it since i was abused. They like the culture they like the food, but they hate the people.😢😢😢😢
Right. It was so great!
Ended!!
❤ it
It really was
❤❤❤I am an indigenous from Oaxaca from a very small village I grew up watching anthony Bourdain Gordon Ramsay and all these great chefs I feel so happy that they are showing to the world how beautiful is Oaxaca I wish he could come to my village the problem is that the only way to get here is by riding a donkey or a horse because there are only very narrow and small roads over mountainous areas greetings from Oaxaca!!! ❤❤❤😊😊
Gabriela Cámara is awesome, she deserves her own show! 😉
Yea she’s so charismatic. I want to see more of her now. Is she on UA-cam?
Oaxaca can be a country by its self, so rich!.....Viva Oaxaca, viva Mexico!
My name is Reyna too, and I'm Nahua native of Guerrero (the state next to Oaxaca), but there are a lot of similarities between the two states. The cuisine is the best, especially Guerrero Pozole. I guess Guerrero and Oaxaca both share the love for chocolate and mole very much.
If Gordon was surprised to see several types of mole, he'd go crazy to know that Guerrero has SEVEN kinds of pozole!
@@MATTHEWSCHUBRINGyes, pozole verde, blanco, rojo, de camagua, elopozole rojo/verde de espinazo, etc. also all the good seafood like pescado a la talla, camarones al chingadazo, pulpo enamorado, caldo arrecho.
Yes, I always say the same thing. We both have the best mezcal, tobalá for them, cupreata for us in Guerrrero. Same with our ancestral chocolate drinks like tejate & our very own chilate. Our aguas frescas de maracuyá, guanábana, nanche, guamuchil. I love Oaxacan cuisine & I wish Guerrero had better representation.
@@oddfernco I agree 1000000% Guerrero is underrated and is only known for Acapulco :\
1:59 I completely agree, all Mexicans are proud of Oaxaca even if we’re from another state, such a magical place.
I’ve only had moles at my college friend’s family place and now wife’s family. Every time it has been a special occasion and they’re always so proud of their recipe and to get a gringos feedback and it’s always been amazing! Now I want to eat some mole!
Omg!! 29:19 I like how the owner says to his workers " amigos token un descanso llego el trabajador" lmao 😅
I’m a Mexican American and this episode just makes me soooooooo proud of my heritage. I love being part of something so beautiful. Mexico is an amazing country with so much culture. Made me cry watching this
This is the second uncharted video I've watched so far.
And both of them have made me laugh so many times!
Gordon is funnier than I thought he would be. 😆
I literally chuckled when he said "or they're seasoning me. It's too early to tell." 😂😂
I could binge watch this!
"Close your eyes." 💀
gordon is great
I love how all my favorite youtubers are going in this direction. I am happy for your human spirit. I'm a decade older and nomadic and I'm happy that you guys are listening to your human needs. You're bigger than the niche of your channel and its the personalities that make it shine.
thank you so much mexico for birthing tomatoes and chocolate for the world to enjoy, we love you OH and corn and potatoes as well as peppers 😍🥰
Correction: Not potatoes, those originated and were domesticated in Peru but you’re right about the others..as well as vanilla, chia, all chili peppers including bell peppers, all squash, most of the common legumes/beans (except garbanzo, lima and lentils), sunflowers, and sooooo much more! Viva Mexico! 🇲🇽
You guys forgot avocados! ❤
The Aztec,Mayan and Inca people appreciate your comments 😉🍻
I am so proud of my Oaxacan roots. I love to eat mole, but I gotta say it’s freaking complicated to make. I want to thank Gordon Ramsay for being another chef that is putting Oaxaca in the international spotlight.
Uhhh and he has other States to visit with wonderful cuisine. Every State, city, and town in Mexico has its own culinary magic ❤
Definitely, I think he chose Oaxaca bc Oaxaca’s food are the best !
No solo Oaxaca la gastronomía de Yucatán también es muy variada y deliciosa.
They say that Oaxaca is the birthplace of Mexican food, i personally believe that

I like when Gordon is challenged. You could tell that he was feeling nervous if the critics would actually like his food or not since it's so different and a learning experience for him. I much prefer this "relaxing" atmosphere.
Gordon and authentic Mexican cuisine is perfection... Try Jalisco next please!!!
Rick Bayless is one of the American chefs that went to Mexico to learn mexican dishes, now is Gordon Ramsey 😊 I never thought he will go to Mexico, and for that makes me so happy. I love my Mexico, right now I’m living in LA.
Un chef de 5 estrellas no puede hacer una tortilla de mano oaxaqueña que orgullo
Eso es lo k dijo Gordon.
Es un chef de Europa claro que no va saber cómo hacer una tortilla mano
Great informative episode
has visto el video de Gordon haciendo su "tlayuda"?? Es para cagarse de risa! 🤣
Yo estaba esperando ver una tortilla azul, además.
I think, I really think, Gordon is the best chef in the world, not because of his dishes, but , because he recognizes everything and tries to go far. I loved the way he did it. Not sure about the flavor, but for sure, el intentó todo, seguramente es la persona MÁS adecuada para llevar la comida de México y del estado de Oaxaca para llevar esto al mundo! THANK YOU GORDON!
It’s great seeing Oaxaca in the spotlight for once for its rich history of food, luckily I got grandmas mole paste in the fridge ready to be made so I don’t gotta crave it for too long after this lol
Can’t wait to go back to my beautiful Mexico. Love the food and the people.
Gordon Ramsay has my respect! He travels looking for flavors like a real chef.
Gordon Ramsay as hard as he is in the kitchen to the chefs, He's so Humble and respectful on all the countries He visits on this Uncharted Series
26:13 "The things I do for food." has the same energy as "20$ is 20$."

I live 4 hours away from Oaxaca, it's my favorite region in Mexico. I've only visited 4 times in my life and love every single part of it!!
I think I've seen it all. Always wanted to see Gordon Ramsey master and prepare the most delicious food in the world. Thank you for this. ❤ Viva Gordon Ramsey y Viva Mexico!!! 🇲🇽
Pretty cool how Gordon went to Mexico to show our amazing culture food and Mezcal that many don’t know about.
Ramsay had fun like a kid in Mexico 😂 I’m glad he had a chill and interesting time there.
I am a big fan of the national geographic channel thank you sir you're genius
❤ 100% agree ❤
i love how willing to learn he is he does not act like he knows it all
Although I am NOT a fan of Gordon Ramsey, I appreciate his love for Mexican & all food in general. Buen Provecho, Feliz Christmas, Prospero "2024", Salud/health, Paz/Peace, Padre God Bless everyone & Peace be with US ALL. ❤❤ 🙏
I love this series! Gordon, you are the best “good sport” at all the crazy situations in the wild in which you subjected.
I like saying the taste of mole is as mysterious as its origin. It represents Mexico perfectly: festive, rich in diversity, down to Earth
My parents are from the Mixtec region of Oaxaca IM AMAZED AND HAPPY TO SEE THEM BRING PUT THE WORM AND THE HONEY ANTS !!! ❤❤
Oaxaca is beautiful, super sweet people, food is fabulous and colorful. Very safe compared to the majority of states in Mexico. ❤️
Thank You. We knew it but Norteños won't accept it.😂
So glad to see Gordon humbled!!! And rewarded!!! Great show!!
I've eaten at Contramar in Mexico City, it's amazing. Mexico City has some absolutely incredible restaurants, many Latin American cities do. And of course all very affordable, with gracious and attentive service that doesn’t require an outrageously ridiculous gratuity on top. Puts the US to shame in a way, a lot of places do.
Uncharted: the mystery box, beauty of cooking.. what better way to create a culinary delight? love the uncharted series.. always learn something better and new..
oaxacan cuisine is the heart of mexico. the complex and rich flavor comes from there!
I’m Mixtec , my dad is from la Mixteca Alta in Oaxaca and our state is the most indigenous in our country there is so much to our lands ! There’s dishes specifically from each town it’s crazy how complex our food is !
It's great to see (Gordo... these men were calling him, even though he's not fat...😂) Gordon in such places as Oaxaca and sharing their treasures and riches and I hope Mr. Ramsey does this ALL around todo mundo. The whole world. Keep the Love coming at us!😊
So funny how Gordon is so no used to people telling him to relax in the kitchen 😂 that's us Mexicans "just chill, it'll get done in time" 😂
Gordon Ramsey my favorite person ever ❤ I can’t believe he’s in my country and it makes me feel good how respectful and humble he is 🫶 love him !!!
This is way I’m so proud and happy of been Mexican ❤❤❤❤ People, food, beverages, lifestyle, culture and kindness ☺️☺️☺️🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽 We’re just the best people!!!!

The flavor of any food is given with the heart. Mexico is number 1 that love to cook
What an amazing experience that shows Mexican cuisine is not just tacos, burritos, tamales and tortas, especially Oaxacan cuisine. I enjoyed the love that is put into all these dishes, collecting ingredients, and the production of mezcal. Respect to Gordon Ramsay for actually getting out there and trying new culinary experiences. This episode reminded me of the time I brought a bottle of mezcal to a family from Wolverhampton in the UK. They had never had a drink so unique and "smoky", as they said 😂
Thank u sir Gordon for sharing ur journey It s a really informative series' You are so lucky to explore any defferent places in the world and keep safe🙏
This is easily my favorite Gordo show to date, no drama just authentic enjoyment of different cuisine and cultures
Beautiful people inside and out. They are clearly living right in Oaxaca. Absolutely loved this episode.💗💗💗
Good for you Gordon! You are one of many to be blessed with partaking in some of the beauty of Mexican culture. Traditions are traditions for a reason, they hold such irreplaceable value.
This was a truly fantastic episode. Action, thrill, suspense, lots of ingredients and **beeps** from Gordon. Lol.
Y está bien: Ramsay recibió un excelente adiestramiento. El mole es uno de los alimentos más finos del mundo.
Much respect for Gordon. I admire his passion for food. Traveling to different places and finding out what really stems from every culture's cuisine. Very inspirational. Thank you
Ese Gordon es más mexicano que la Yaritza😂
Gordon experincing Mexican culture is great. I dated a Mexican girl and her grandmother would make fun of how skinny I was and feed me the whole time I was visiting. It was amazing, but I had to be a good sport. They have a very sarcastic, roast-friendly, ball-busting culture and it’s always fun watching Gordon roll with punches.
Gordon Ramsey was a team player. I loved this episode, good sport Gordon.
