Great video Ron!! From a content and production stand point. I kinda know the process of what it takes from start to finish. Much props!! Prep-produce-sound-lights-shoot-(different angles)-edit-graphics etc. I can go on and on. Great stuff!! This can be a long discussion so im stop now.
@ Thank You 😊 Kindly. I will wait just a little bit longer for temp. to raise b4 getting one. But certainly going forward with your recommendation b4 for fertilizing😉👊🏾
@ got it. I’ve been trying to find someone who can give some pointers. I have some Bermuda in mines and want to know what amounts needed to kill it and not the st Augustine. PGR for citrablue is different than floratam. Its damn near 0.1 ozMax a gallon. Anything past 0.12 oz it can stunt it for a season.

I'm in zone 9b (Tallahassee) and I have a centipede lawn. I'm interested in applying preemergent but I also beed to dethatch and overseed my lawn this year. Due to the unusually warm weather, i am wondering if I should wait until I get some new grass growth before I apply the preemergent? And then start to gradually ease into a mowing schedule?
If you're in south Texas, should be ok. Ideally you'll want to scalp once past any extended hard freezes. Doesn't matter between prodiamine or dimension. Depends on your preference.
@@RonHenry you don't have to act like all the expensive products are the only ones that work of lawns unless you are sponsored by them, but I gotcha. STOIC
I share a process that works for me and countless others. Never said it’s the only way. 🤷♂️ You’re welcome to use whatever you want on your lawn. All the best.

Hey Ron! I used to tell my clients / visitors that weeds don't cause a poor lawn... they are the result of it.
So true Richard! It's great hearing from you. :-)
Great video! You are so right about cutting even when it looks like it doesn’t need cutting.
That’s the secret!
The fix my ugly lawn series help me turn my back yard around I definitely approve of this video
Awesome Twotrilla! :-)
I didn't have any luck dealing with Poa Annua until I started listening to Ron
Happy to help!
Loving these new videos! Great advice! ⛳️
Thanks so much Devin! Appreciate the feedback.
As always, good info! Tks!
Appreciate you watching!
Hey Ron, I live in Connecticut . Yeah, Tenacity for the win for sure.
Great choice

I appreciate it Adam! I enjoy working on it. Always ways to improve.
Excellent video. But what is your remedy for voles and moles?
Reduce their food source with insecticides and use traps like this: amzn.to/4jHqDqC
Great video once again!
Thanks Ron!!
What is a good height for scalping?
I like to go 1/4” below the height I plan to maintain the lawn.
@ Noted! Thank you!😊
Hope all is well, Ron. Will cool season herbicide damage warm season turf (I know the inverse is true)?
Sedgehammer can be sprayed on warm and cool season grass. Tenacity should only be used on cool season lawns. Residential cool season lawns anyways.
@RonHenry Thank you. So what do you suggest for post-emergent weed control for Bermuda overseeded with Rye. Depends on the season?
Let’s go!!!! 👍🇺🇸💯
Thanks for watching Higgie!
Hi Ron,
Fantastic UA-cam content. In a Cool Season Lawn when would you recommend to do Soil Test (Month) b4 the 1st fertilizer?
@@Lbmwm3 That timing would work well. Assuming the ground isn't frozen where you are, you could do one now if you wanted.
@ Thank You 😊 Kindly. I will wait just a little bit longer for temp. to raise b4 getting one. But certainly going forward with your recommendation b4 for fertilizing😉👊🏾
Hi Ron do I have to wait until my lawn is greening up and actively growing to verticut or scarify?
Depends on why you're doing it. If it's in place of scalping, then no need to wait.
Have you worked on any citrablue st Augustine up there yet?
I’ve not seen any in my part of Georgia. Too far north for St Aug to do well.

In combining image st Aug wit sedgehammer for my st Aug. is that a bad thing ?!?!
I've never used that combination.
When do you recommend I start my weed postemergent on Bermuda. Should I wait until the temperature is warmer?
Whenever the weed you're looking to control is actively growing.
What do you recommend to combat goosegrass in bermuda grass?
This is what I'd use: ron-henry.com/tributetotal Bring your wallet. :-)

If you're planning on planting grass seed this spring, I would avoid pre-emergent. It will negatively effect germination rates.
@RonHenry Thank you for all the amazing advice!

Live near Augusta Ga. Have Bermuda grass with lots of weeds. Should I cut the grass before applying the herbicide?
No I wouldn't Cheryl. Having more leaf on weed helps the weed killer to work better.
2 pt question, I’m in Texas, is there harm if we scalp feb 1?, and does it matter which PE (prodiamine or diminsion) we use in spring vs fall? Thx sir

Did I see you verticutting your yard the other day? Should I do it now before it starts growing to thin it out?
I use verticutting instead of scalping. You can do either one. x
Thanks
what do you suggest for a financially broke individual as myself? (financially cheap). Texas in the house
