Just go one finasteride as soon as you notice thinning and it will help maintain what you have for a long time. Minoxidil is annoying to apply and hair transplants are too much of a hassle and you will need more than one throughout your life.
Yes you can . Smash 5 Finasteride pills in a cup with a spoon , add 20 ml distilled water and transfer to a spray bottle. Spray on your hair/scalp 3 times per day. You can also add minoxidil to the mixture .

That is happening to me. I had my ht in 2013 and haven't taken any medication since. I think these medications for a long time certainly you cause other issues. In last two years lost a lot of hair and most of the transplanted hair. I am now considering taken another HT probably the last in my life ( I am 51 now)
He may have had an autoimmune disease attacking his hair follicles all along. A hair transplant won't last with that condition. Unless the doctor did a biopsy, Wayne and the doctor wouldn't help. I have LPFF (look it up) after having a full head of hair into my late 50's. After a bout of Covid my hair started falling out. A year and a half later and five doctors later, fortunately a transplant doctor could tell my hair wasn't falling out in a natural fashion. Thankfully he did three biopsies and determined it was a disease under the Lupus umbrella. Had he done the surgery, all the follicles would've fallen out and my hair loss would've continued. I'm on meds now to stop the disease inflammation.
6:09 I don't understand your confidence in finasteride. I'm using 2,5g finasteride with 0,5 dutasteride (basically overdosing) for more than a year and my hair doesn't stop thinning and receding

At a hair transplant you take the hair follicle from a safe area that dosen't affected by DHT, so it's not necessary to take finasteride from the rest of your life!
It is necessary unfortunately, because if u don't, you'll probably have all your transplanted hair intact (the donor hair that is mostly no affected by DHT), but all the other DHT affected areas of hair will continue to thin and you'll be left with and island of transplanted hair, but will have lost the hair around that. Look up on Google, hair transplant no finasteride results
If we are looking at a hair transplant results without Finasteride 10,20+ years later, there will definitely be some degree of transplanted hair miniaturization as well. Unfortunately.
@@letsgethair Matt my uncle had a hair transplant 20 years ago AND and that hair is still there without thinning and without taking finasteride. this case isnt a rule. Do not misinform because you take finasteride.
I don't think the doctors did it properly. They're supposed to use the hair from the back sides, specifically where the hair will never thin, so nothing will thin again, even without medication.
I’m sure they did. However, you need like 7,000 to 10,000 hairs to achieve decent density. So Rooney would still need an additional surgery in the future.
His hair loss was very aggressive for 25. His donor was very weak, he was not a candidate. Yes it was extremely unethical of the doctor who operated on him to operate on a 25 year old with such agressive hair loss. It was never going to work out well in the long run.
That's exactly what mine looked like after the tenth year post surgery when I got my FUE in the mid 90's finasteride just was coming out and right away sides about sexual disfunction was known about it so I didn't even want to entertain the idea . minoxidil I used only as the new tufts we're shedding til the new growth came in .I didn't respond well to rogaine back than .now wow how times changed ,and all the new ideas how to use the two most effective treatments available to us .what a godsend
he has a light+blonde+thin hair in general and he isn't young anyway + He was bald from the temples before due to Genetics.. so this is actually more than good for him to have a hairline like that. instead of bald/recede.
"10 years after his hair transplant What happened!?" - Simple. They're not a guaranteed fix. You can get one and be ok for a few years and then end up right back at square one with thinning and loss.

If the follicles are harvested from the "permanent" zone on the back of your head, the follicle will retain it's DHT-resistant characteristics when transplanted to the front. You rarely see grandpa's with no hair on the sides and back of their head, even though they went to a nordwood 6-7 at their early 20s. Which means either the hair is extremely resilient against DHT or DHT does not attack those area's at all. But please do take fin if you have native hair you went to keep.
@@Top3Unveiled in some cases even the permanent zone for some isn't as strong. Which is why doctors advise patients to get on fineateride six months before a hair transplant to strengthen the hair first.

It is evident that he didn't get many grafts transplanted. I think that he didn't get more than 2.5K grafts transplanted totally, so that's why his hair still looks thin.
What if he actually took the medication and his hair still continued to go despite him being on it , it does happen to an percentage of people they'll take the medication and their hair will still continue miniaturize and eventually entirely fall out and they'll pretty much progress their balding as if they're not taking any hair meds at all . Now I'm not saying that's what necessarily what happened with him but just saying .
When you look at Rooney at 16 his hair looked receded and thin so was always looking predestined to lose his hair and the donor area that has been used has thinned as it would of done in its original area of the scalp. If a guy has very slow receding into his late thirties/early forties they are going to have a far better lasting result than Rooney.
I’m feel like hair transplants - and probably more importantly the drugs they take to improve growth - ruins footballers careers. Rooney was done at 28, Fabregas was never the same, and where the hell is Shaquiri these days?
They claim huge advancements have been made, but not that I can see. I'll be interested when they have the tech to give a Norwood 7 a full head of hair, without all this silly maintenance and medication.
But why are the clinics telling that the transplants will stay for livelong, cause they are from a area where the hair is dht resistant? I dont understand it?
there is no hair on the head that is DHT resistant. Its just that the hairs on the top thinn out to 0% of original strenght and lenght and those on side go down to 40-50% . Just look at any bald old mans donnor area and you will see they are quite thinned out. Its just difficult to notice because they have grey hairs. If you dont plan on taking Finasteride shaving cream and gillette subscription are there for you.
I saw some Spanish doctors on youtube doing work I never saw before. Unless I could find a surgeon of that quality, i am not sure i would do it as other results I have seen seem mediocre. The problem is that these doctors are so booked out.
It doesn't exist really, every treatment available involves maintenance and limitations of some kind, with varying results. If they can refine hair cloning and make it reasonably affordable that effectively would be a cure, as it would allow unlimited donor supply- you would be able to name the amount of grafts you want. I wouldn't expect it any time soon as long as they are still making billions on half-assed jobs that take you from bald to severely balding.
All hair transplants are a waste of time. I've rarely seen one that holds up under any type of close inspection or sunlight. What's the point in having your head cut open, wasting all that money, just to continue taking medications and using cosmetic products to give the illusion of a full head of hair? Shave it all off and if it bothers people so much, just get one of those hair system wigs. They look amazing without having to risk your health with surgery and medications.
Unfortunately the majority of the HT industry is a scam. The doctors will never tell you the potential long term effects. And yes, the doctors want you to get on a lifetime of HT’s, medicine, etc. Because they obviously make more money.

Just had my first one done and completely put off with the medication.
Sometimes taking these meds that has so many side effects its just not worth the risk to your health.

I'm on meds now to stop the disease inflammation.
nah you can tell its classic pattern baldness

@@letsgethair he done it undoubtedly, but he has more than one operation. As some sport publications say, in the 1st hair transplantation there was bad result (he made it in Italy). But then he came to Canada and more professional surgeons fixed his situation. Also they say, he spent on his hair transplants totally about 30k dollars. But of course, it's hard to believe.
@@juanjarrin249 You could just get another transplant to cover those areas as well, plus SMP to create the impression of higher density.
If we are looking at a hair transplant results without Finasteride 10,20+ years later, there will definitely be some degree of transplanted hair miniaturization as well. Unfortunately.

It should be a lesson for anyone under the age of 30 thinking of getting a HT… he was a slave to fibres as soon as he started using them after his first ht.. he is now dipping at the back , it’s going to look awful in the next 10 years .. yes he quite obviously stopped taking finasteride aswell, which didn’t help at all
Yes it was extremely unethical of the doctor who operated on him to operate on a 25 year old with such agressive hair loss. It was never going to work out well in the long run.
The whole hair transplant business is unethical. Most clinics are not run by doctors and 95% of those doctors have no surgical training

Without fineateride even the transplanted hair it's going to fall out unless you fix the root cause which is dht
But please do take fin if you have native hair you went to keep.

there is no hair on the head that is DHT resistant. Its just that the hairs on the top thinn out to 0% of original strenght and lenght and those on side go down to 40-50% .
