      Yet, how the hell do we ignore he has his hair in far shorter layers cut around the corner area and now combed forward? (plus, a side parting that is lower than normal to accommodate the adjustment ; ) *Essentially, he is sporting a subtle comb -over rather than a transplant.* (hence a side -parting that is lower than normal to accommodate the adjustment ; ) The need to see what likely isn't there is crazy on the net, lol.

      It seems to me that when he was in One Direction he didn’t care about it, but management probably begged him to take something for it since he was in a boy and. Surprised that he would suddenly want to do something about it.

    I think Harry Styles went buzz cut to get a Hair transplant in 2023, that explains him staying out of public eyes so he could recover from the procedure. Their is no shame if he got hair transplant.

    I had advanced male pattern baldness by 19. I suffered through college until I was almost 22 and had a consultation with a hair transplant surgeon. He advised me to embrace the baldness rather than get a transplant or take medication. It was one of the best decisions of my life. However, Harry’s hair is such a big part of his public appearance and I don’t blame him for any procedures he might’ve had done. He looks great.

  • @EverAppl14
    @EverAppl14 Місяць тому +147

    The high peaks of mild hair loss on the sides of his hairline actually looked very flattering on Harry, imo. I'm glad he didn't get rid of the corners completely. They compliment his face by adding a kind of peak-a-boo effect to his forehead, and they emphasize his widow's peak which gives him sort of an effortless rocker vibe without having to have an unusual haircut or very long hair. It's kind of like having just the subtle suggestion of a mohawk. I can see not liking that on one's self, but it really suits a pop star who is moving into a more seasoned era of multi-faceted self-expression, beyond the teeny bopper heart throb legacy his baby hairline reflected. Not all baldness is bad, just like David Bowie's broken pupil made him even more iconic somehow. Looking the exact same as everyone else in a particular demographic is not all that desirable, imo.

    Great video as always. One suggestion from a filmmaker. It feels like whatever camera you're using is on a wide angle lense, maybe 24-35mm equivalent? And your face is really close to it, so you're getting a warping effect pulling your nose closer. Any portrait photographer will tell you a portrait looks a bit nicer and flatter, more natural with something like a 50mm and above. Obviously this means the camera is farther from your face to fill the frame the same way. I'd consider it thought. if you're at a 24, try a 35mm and that will do a lot of the work. Or sit slightly farther back and crop the frame. No sense you doing such excellent work talking about the subtleties of improved looks when your filmmaking undercuts this for your own good looks.

If he did get a hair transplant I gotta say: nice job on making it very subtle. He still looks like himself and like I said, it looks like he just styles if differently. The buzzcut was definitely an unusual move for him and at first I thought it's surely for a movie. But since he seemingly didn't do it for any project I guess it is likely it was because of a transplant. I always thought the same thing when I first saw the office. I had already learned a lot about hair loss, and his hair change between those seasons was super high quality in my opinion.

      @carolefletcher Місяць тому +1

      You can see the use of something like black powder on his scalp in season 2 onwards and his hair is styled more upright rather than greased back.

    • @e.starling141
      @e.starling141 Місяць тому

      I noticed the same thing and assumed it was a hair transplant as well. I also wondered if they did chin liposuction or got him a chin implant. Because his jaw line is also much different in the 2nd season. (We now don’t see the double chin that was fairly prominent, especially due to the buttoned up shirts coming all the way up his neck.) He looks really good by season 2. More of a leading man look.

      @@e.starling141 I don't think it's impossible that he got that work done, but I also think weight loss can affect those things pretty heavy and I get the vibe that he got in a lot better shape between seasons.

  • @as19J01
    @as19J01 Місяць тому +9

    I think the one-sided receding can be easily explained. It started around the same time he started growing his hair longer and keeping it to one side. He never changed his side part. So tension to the scalp from the constant pulling and fixing probably caused that side to recede faster than the other. I think this also explains his hairline receding overall because he would often wear tight ponytails and buns during this time. I was hoping you would mention this so I decided to add it in.
    With that being said, I don't think he got anything done until 2023. The back and forth of the hairline just seems to depend on whether or not his hair is styled or more casual in my opinion. But either way, he was bullied severely for his hair so I just hope that he's happy with it now.

    Can you make a video about the EU/EMA says it will review all the evidence to decide whether the authorizations for these drugs should be maintained, changed, suspended or withdrawn in the European Union. Regarding finasteride-ban

    • @enid9911
      @enid9911 Місяць тому

      Yes it is sexist just how they stopped the male pill trials because 1 guy became infertile and 2 guys had permanent reduction in sperm... which is a good thing because it means that men can't get trapped by women into fatherhood. The same goes for finasteride which makes sperm quality worse too. Maybe some men want to take finasteride, so they don't have to worry about getting someone pregnant. I mean even men who got blowjobs and the woman secretly inserted the outcome into her underhole demanded child support and a court agreed. If that guy had taken finasteride, his semen would have probably not been potent enough to survive the blowjob insertion. The EU wants men to be walking sperm banks.This is the only reason why they want to ban finasteride. I hope Doctor Gary will talk about this in a future video!!!

    Doctor GL, when you lose hair from the sides and/or back, is DHT one of the reasons why that hair loss occurred? Or are those hairs DHT resistant and the hairloss in those areas is because of something else?
    I always just assumed that DHT hair loss is only for the top of the scalp hair
    And should a man apply Topical Minoxidil to the side hair if he notices thinning?
