I really wish FL4K had a the voice line "I think that enemy got - the point!". A bit of fan service that would go a long way I'd say

My favorite FL4K line has got to be: *_"That one was talking shit!"_* when I heard it the first time I ended up laughing extremely hard, and showing the line to my friend who also, laughed extremely hard.

I remember being so hype when I found out you were gonna voice Fl4k. I main Moze but Fl4k is definitely my favorite of the playable characters story/lore-wise, you did an amazing job with them man
Their background is the embodiement of "Father, I crave violence."
Honestly, I chose FL4K mainly because he voices them
i absolutely love how good ProZD did with their voice honestly
I chose FL4K without knowing he would be voiced by Sung. I recognized it but was skeptical, only to have it confirmed when my recommendations referenced it assuch.
Fl4k literally woke up with consciousness one day and decided to kill.
FL4K was a perfect fit.. that line to Ava: "Death is an old friend that greets us at the end of the hunt" hit me so hard, I was already almost in tears after coming off of just losing Maya and then you delivered that line so masterfully it meant something so much more to me.
ALSO: I always imagine a clip of you saying: "THAT ONE WAS TALKING SHIT!!" I always laugh my ass off! 🤣😂
Hyodo is one interesting fellow. Despite his uptight attitude, hes really the typical "mild" mannered salary guy. He really does care for the pop idols.

Japan may seem futuristic in many aspects, but it's also really backwards in others >:P

The only reason I can think of is that since its your voice and you're playing it on something that generates money that you're causing a weird conflict of interest because they're technically supposed to pay you for your voice but you're self generating it so it's cheating the system.
It's not like actors own the shows that they're in. They're contracted to work on a product.
What's more ridiculous is sometimes VAs are also contracted to not use their character voices anywhere in public, like even at conventions.

I remember playing borderlands 3 as fl4k with my friends and we went "wait............sungwon?!?!?????!?"
At first I though it's Rene De Paul (Reinhardt in Overwatch) tbh. It stills surprise me these days.
Some lore about Vaseraga: He used to be the captain of his own crew but ran into trouble when they came across the primal beast Lich. Lich effectively poisoned everyone in the crew including Vaseraga but his crewmates were so loyal that one by one they carried him away from Lich's miasma and to safety. When one person died the next person took their place to get their captain out.
Vaseraga basically carries the weight of his former friends on his shoulders, and its why he values his current ones so much. The "berserker" state he enters is forcefully inflicted by his scythe, Grynoth, in an effort to become strong enough to protect them.
So he wants to make sure that his friends will be safe, and the reason he gives them advice is so that they can better protect themselves. He's a wholesome guy.

This makes no sense, where they all poisoned at the same time? If so, wouldn't they have died all at the same time?

@@Inferryu The poison's effects had a stronger effect on those with weaker bodies. It was like a poisonous miasma. Vaseraga is absolutely massive, so he survived, but at the cost of his entire crew.

More please. I would love this with your 'original' voices, King Dragon, Chair-em-girl, Refrigerator senpai, etc. You talked about getting inspiration from the visual design of a character, but what about when there is only an idea?

I’m doing a FL4K playthrough right now and they’re unmistakably you. You don’t get lost in the post-processing.
I love how your voice is so distinct yet so diverse
The biggest reason I bought BL3 because of FL4K and that you voiced them. I'm 120 hours in and I love every line!
Your performance as FL4K absolutely floored me, it’s so rich and nuanced and gives Borderlands 3 a layer of depth and character that keeps it contending with Borderlands 2 for me; seeing you go from Tumblr voice memes to Apotheon to that and so much more has been heartwarming. You keep doing what you do.
I’m so glad you finally talked about FL4K. I was so happy when I found out you voiced him. I was and still do main him, still working through the last two dlcs for now. Also happy to hear about the second season pass of dlc. Keeping my boy busy and I’m sure you’re earning the heck out of that paycheck.

It is fun to hear the history of how someone got into something and overcame the fears that come with that. Something I wish I could do and while I cannot it is very enjoyable to cheer on those who have done it. Good on you man. :)
Edit: Also really love that you are very true and honest about it as well. It truly stinks so many try to gus up the early days or feign questions, etc. People want to hear the truth and see someone be themselves. It may inspire them or give them a smile. :)

It might have to do with the fact that I’m a huge fan, but I really enjoyed this video. Your voice is so chill, and seeing you reprise your roles and go in-depth about the process of these roles really gets the good feels going.
This one man has single handedly motivated me to finally try to do things I'm into. And in fact, some time soon I will voice some characters in an animation my friend is making, who also is just starting out with following his interests! I can link it if he decides to post it, but mostly I think he just likes to keep from random people, and only show family and friends.

The second i knew ProZD was voicing a Vault Hunter in Borderlands 3 , maining Fl4k was definitely my main priority.
You did such an incredible job with Flak! I think of them as an artist who views the hunt as their art, I love how much you were able to convey in all the different short lines and emotes

I feel like the Japanese express emotion differently than us so trying to make a carbon copy of a Japanese voice to English, in the end, just doesn't sound right.
You’re fully correct! (the expressing emotions thing) Different cultures have different “display rules” that we learn as kids, when/how/what emotions are acceptable and how that’s supposed to affect your social surroundings.
Absolutely. Also the reason I honestly prefer subs, because it’s “original” where as the dub is definitely altered because of this. However if I really like a show, I’ll definitely watch both 😂
