My word, what an incredible Library! For people who really do not like reading, this Library I feel will hold their attention with all the things they have to see and explore. I on the other hand would just like to be locked in the building and read to my heart's content.
You don't know how cool and inspirational it is to see a couple people who still really live actual books. Too many people prefer, and even push e-books and/audio books. Nobody appreciates the texture and smell, and overall comfort of an actual book. Real books never run out of battery and/or have to be recharged. Heck, they can actually be a comfort object. Thanks for sharing your love of books.
This vlog was lovely and so cozy ! I loved the energy between you two it is so peaceful to watch and the library !! It’s insane ! I am from France but I want to visit lol please continue the libraries tour 😂😍
@Benji ,For a korean novel Read PACHINKO ( which denotes a pin ball gambling machine) its about koreans living in japanese rule qnd how the protagonists keeps working hard to earn a living. Its a moving story❤
I was so excited to see you and Benji explore the Cerritos library because I grew up going there in high school! Some other unique SoCal libraries I recommend are the South Pasadena Public Library (they have a cute used bookstore upstairs on the 2nd floor), Brand Library in Glendale (cozy reading rooms and the Moorish-inspired exterior is really beautiful), Huntington Beach Public Library (it's huge and has fountains and different rooms that are connected by ramps and stairs), and the Malaga Cove Library in Palos Verdes (cute old world vibes, they have a puzzle table, and sometimes you can encounter wild peacocks outside--if you really want to see wild peacocks though, you just have to walk around the neighborhoods near the Tops on Walnut). LA and OC have a lot of unique modern and historical libraries with really great special collections (depending on the local population; i.e. San Marino and Cerritos have Chinese books and magazines because of the local Taiwanese/Chinese residents, and the Little Tokyo library has a large collection of Japanese books, manga, etc.) and preserved architecture. I haven't been yet, but I've heard that the Manhattan Beach Library has gorgeous glass walls and views of the ocean!
Yes, please more cool libraries! My 90 year old stepdad and I have been wanting to do a library tour of cool spots this summer, adding this one to the list, thank you !
If you want to see one of the actual space shuttles check out Calif Science Center just south of downtown at USC /Exposition Park, and there is a good video of how they moved it from LAX
Winnie is so cute. Have an amazing trip Ireland 🇮🇪 and Scotland 🏴 !! Love that they had a seed library… how cool is that. Chris we vote you as Advocate for Better Libraries for All!
How cool. I was just at the Cerritos library last weekend reading Piranesi! Great book. I’m reading the secret history now. Maybe my vocabulary just sucks but there are so many words I have to look up while reading. It’s like I’m studying for the SAT again. I’ve never been a big reader. In high school I relied on sparknotes/cliff notes. But you guys have inspired me to try reading again! Thanks for the recs!
I would like to recommend, 'Welcome to the Hyunam-dong Bookshop' by Hwang Bo-Reum. A very heartwarming setting and plot about slices of life. I think every book lovers would love this book.
this is my new go to library its SOOO GORGEOUS and if youre ever in the same area i recommend checking out the huntington public library!! def not as breathtaking as the cerritos lib but they also have like this waterfall thing in the middle, a ton of plants, and i thinkkk they also have a free garden seed thingy
Wow! That library is amazing. How great for that community. My area libraries are quite boring by comparison, so I rarely go. When I lived in New York I used those libraries all the time.
This is cute, libraries are cool in all honesty. Thought provoking and aware, eye opening and observational. Sociable and aware, thought provoking, and normalized. I’m proud of your conformity in terms of formalism. It’s observational in terms of rarity and American spirit. Whew Powerful.
seed lending libraries are so fun! i remember the first time i found out my library did something like that, it’s becoming more common and it’s such a cool community access thing
I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU AND CHRIS, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF YOUR GENERAL WAY OF LIFE AND CULTURAL UNDERSTANING, I REALLY DO ENJOY YOUR VISIONS FROM A LBGT POINT OF VIEW, 5 STARS WHAT A GREAT CHANNEL. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Beautiful library! I’m from a small town and my library has 4 shelves for adults! I’m grateful to have a library but I love seeing all the beautiful ones out there!
I love seeing you both always and my gosh the library is so beautiful! ✨ This makes me want to visit my nearby library here. Yay thank you for sharing this with us. Stay safe always guys. 🫶🏻
i don’t know if you guys have looked into it but you can feed cats special food which apparently reduces the effect of their allergies? i don’t know much about it but it might be something worth looking into :)
love the lights at the end of each of the bookshelves on the 2nd floor of the library! plus the seeds! and the way u were looking at benjie when u were outside, under the cotton(?) tree. also, fuefuefuecoco! hehe the new pokemon anime here in yt is cute 🤗
Whats that game yall were playing at 2:06 called? Also! You can buy and egg protein to put in your cats food that can help reduce allergies! Maybe thats worth a shot?
I am glad you are reading "The Invention of Morel," a fascinating novella by the Argentinian author Adolfo Bioy Casares (1914-1999). The novella was published in 1940 and was praised by many contemporary authors. The prologue provided in the English edition is by Jorge Luis Borges (Argentinian, 1899-1986), one of the great writers of the 20th Century, who was also a friend and mentor of Casares. Borges compared "The Invention of Morel" to the masterpieces "The Turn of The Screw" (Henry James, American-British, 1898) and "Journey to the Center of the Earth" (Jules Vernes, French, 1864). It will be interesting to hear your impressions once you finished reading the book and had an opportunity to 'digest' it.
This is the best library I've ever seen in my entire life! And that's a lot of life, lol. Thank you for showing it to us. It's a good job I don't live there, I would spend my whole life in that place. Have a great time in Ireland.
Hey. Is it an idea to put the titel and author of the books that you are talking about / showing, in the corner of the screen just like bengi puts the names of plans in the corner? Would be convenient :)) love the vlog
The absolute chaos behind you guys in the introduction is just too adorable to take 😂😂😂😂

The most wholesome thing about this is that one is a plant geek and the other is a Book nerd 🥺🥺🥺💕💕🫶🫶
