One day when you guys get older, you'll look back on this video, and it will feel as if no time has passed. That's the vibe I am getting. And that's the kind of relationship I want one day. Thank you for sharing these precious moments.
i had never noticed how much i had overlooked the beauty of moss my whole life until i started gardening and especially when i tried making a terrarium. My mum told me the same since i had forced her into helping me look for moss from rocks. Now wherever we go we point out moss to each other
This video made me release happy tears. The pure nature, peace and love in this is so wholesome it made me hopeful in finding love and stability in life. Thank you for sharing all you do. I plan to do a lot of solo train travels to observe the terrain across the states.
You two could do a multi part series on this and I would've watched the entire thing. As someone who lives in Vancouver, it always makes me happy to see someone enjoying the NW. It rains a lot, we definitely have our problems, but having access to Dense forests, Mountains and Beaches all just about 2 hours away from each other as well as a diverse culinary scene is cool and unique. Thank you for visiting!
Watching this video felt like coming back home. It made me feel so happy and warm and like there's so much hope in life. Words aren't enough to describe how I am now. I'm just happy to be alive on this earth because of this video. It's inspired me to better myself and my life.
This is so sweet and fun! Although the lady on the loudspeaker saying "furthermore, if you happen to come down and you see that box on the stairs, we do not want you to climb over the box" made me laugh so hard. Was not expecting it.
years ago i would take the train from the PNW to the Midwest. Seeing Glacier National Park & the snow/ice from the train felt like a dream, much like you described ❄️🩵
I don't know why seeing the last frame of wavering birds on the water instantly got my eyes teary...I was having a pretty tough 2023 but everything are turning around now. Thank you Benji for sharing your beautiful life with us
Hello and Happy New Year, Benji and Chris! Your trip was so much fun and has inspired me to add one to my summer bucket list!! The serenity of the train and all of the beautiful scenery were amazing. Thank you for sharing your trip with us.
I no longer fly because I love train rides. There's something peaceful and recluse about train riding, which is why I go by train every quarter to visit family. It's almost 30 hours one way for me. The train is nowhere as clean and updated like yours, though..wow!
Loved the video!! I took an overnight train from CT to Montreal once with my husband on New Year’s Eve. All the little towns covered in snow with the Xmas trees lit up. That was 41 years ago! Thank you for the memory. ❤
You trip looked very nice. Next time you two gobon the Amtrak train look for in the reservation for the Sleeper cabin with sink and shower in your cabin. My Mother always paid for the First Class Sleeper Cabin from Chicago to Los Angeles. She loved the Soutwest trip across the country all the time. 😊
Wonderful video. Thanks much for posting it. My Father and I use to take the Coast Starlight from LA to Seattle to visit friends and then take it back from Seattle to LA. We enjoyed the relaxing Journey. My Father has since passed and your video brought back wonderful memories. Thank you for sharing and bringing back those wonderful memories for me. I hope you enjoyed the Journey as much as we did...
This is such a beautiful, heartwarming video. Loved it from getting onto the train, to the beautiful cozy Elle’s apartment. I recently traveled on the Texas Eagle 21’s Rommette. And, although the views were not as beautiful as yours, it was so cozy and quiet. I am jealous you two have each other to enjoy, I went on a 30 hour trip from Chicago to Texas by myself, not as fun, but still an awesome experience. Beautiful, beautiful video and well put. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Powell's is fantastic. What is great about downtown Portland is that everything you would want to go to for food, drink, shops is in a 6 x 6 city block area. Behind the Portland Building with Portlandia, the second largest hammered copper statue in the world, is a park that is a grove of huge ginkgo trees. The next time you go to Portland go to the zoo and then take the small train to the Portland Rose Garden and the Japanese Garden up the hill. That garden is one of the top ten Japanese gardens in the world.
Thank you Benji and Chris for all the wonderful videos! They’re a highlight of me week and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us in the new year!
the unmitigated joy of traveling and experiencing destinations with the one you love! I've never done the 30-hr train, but traveled on the East Coast in a sleeper car, and my friend opted for the top bunk -- she unfortunately did not use the handy straps Amtrak provides, and somewhere between DC and Orlando suffered a, comical now, but frightening then roll-off. no injuries, whew. Enjoy your trip!
Benji and Chris, I have so enjoyed your train journey, I live and grew up in Portland and it looked like you had a great time. I have taken that same journey on the Coast Starlight many times, and now I want to go to L.A. Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Great video guys !! I like to see different train videos as it's like mini holidays for the viewer, well for me anyway so a big howdy and hello from Adelaide, South Australia 😊🪴🌷🌱
Looks fun, it was something in my bucket list but i do have claustrophobia so definitely off but bucket list now. It was fun to watch though, thanks for sharing your trip.
this was such a calming kind of video, unintentionally asmr lol the train ride looked so cool and the views were so beautiful Glad yall got to experience this
I’d never seen your vids before… so wholesome and calming! Also, your were in my neighborhood. My bsf and I did a similar train ride decades ago and it was so lovely. I’m glad you had a happy trip!
This video was so great it was so peaceful to watch and experience with you! My next trip is to Portland so i like how you gave some places to go visit ❤
When we visited the USA a few years ago, we did LA to Orlando in in the train (an upstairs cabin with bathroom), and frm Seattle back to LA (with a 5 day brreak in San Francisco). Totally amazing experience, and we can totally understand the sleeping on the train - it was hard to stay awake. We smoked in those days (not any more), and would leap off at every stop day or night for a quick drag lol. Saw sights you'd never see from a plane.
Hi Benji...Glad that you and Chris experienced the Amtrak train ride. Although, they are long rides it's still a great way to see the country! The sleeper car is always an excellent choice! I suggest stopping for a day or two in a cities of interest and get back on. (For example, I did from Chicago, Memphis, New Orleans, Atlanta). Of course, I flew back home! Great trip though!
I love your video. It makes me feel comfortable and cozy. So nice!! And traveling with someone you love would be very exciting and pleasing. Sometime, I also really wanna go travel with someone I love!
One day when you guys get older, you'll look back on this video, and it will feel as if no time has passed. That's the vibe I am getting. And that's the kind of relationship I want one day.
Thank you for sharing these precious moments.
well,you'll never get it😇
This honestly could have been 17 hours long and I'd watch the whole thing 🩵
It’s like rewatching old vhs tapes from 25 years ago you found in the attic
Why not 30 hours
@@dott8348good idea
I was smiling entire time I was watching the video. I am so happy for you two.
Coming from a colder climate, I really take snow for granted, so it’s really heartwarming to see Benji’s childlike glee over seeing snowy landscapes.
"That's where the gods juice their lemons" ~ perfect line! Thanks for sharing.
8:38 you are the sweetest; little things like this show you're always thinking about him
i had never noticed how much i had overlooked the beauty of moss my whole life until i started gardening and especially when i tried making a terrarium. My mum told me the same since i had forced her into helping me look for moss from rocks. Now wherever we go we point out moss to each other
Benji, this was so beautiful - felt like a warm hug to start the new year. Be well guys!

I can’t lie, I teared up when you two made it to Portland and just ahhh there’s something to be said when traveling like that with someone you love. 🥹
