So much so that I just NEED to have a Blade (I'd get a Glaive but theyre's just no justifying $350 for a single seater). Another amazing (and objectively better) Alien fighter I love is Banu Defender. It has all the Geigeresque horrors I like of alien ships on the interior and has beds and the range of a freakin exploration ship.
That's the mentality that limits backers enjoying the game, shouldn't you be indulging yourself instead of having second best?. There are some cheap ''Glaive CCU's'' out there, if that's the route you want to go, and they'll go up considerably once 42 is rumored for release. I just CCU'd both a ''Blade/Glaive to LTI, yeah there not the best fighters by a long shot.....but i wanted them, and that's all that matters.

@@davewills6121 Whilst yes there are cheap CCU's available (hell, i have some very expensive ships yet have spent very little comparatively), its also a slippery slope into paying way more than you feel comfortable with, and Its the reason i'm very particular about mentioning IRL money in videos; you think "it's just £10", "it's just £20", and next thing you know you're sleeping in the garden after failing to explain to the missus why your bank account has thousands of pounds made out to some company owned by a guy named Robert. The thing to always remember is that everything is earnable in game, right now, so its never limiting oneself by not paying IRL cash. All paying real money does is save you a few days grind :)
@@RobotSpartan Disagree, there are many ships excluded from buying (in-game), well the more desirable ships anyways. If one want to turn the concept into a work house, be my guest, yet ones time is more valuable than constant grinding, you obviously don't have much of a life. Anyway time is money as you say, carry on
@@RobotSpartan I prefer repeaters cause dakkadakka but I would prefer to see cannons at the same velocity but at a far lower rate of fire. That way it's a matter of skill rather than one weapon type being gimped from the start
@@zachrich7359 Aye i can understand that. I just always liked the satisfaction of a big hit. different strokes for different folks and all that :) and aye, completely agree. CIG's logic of "cannons shouldn't be used in dog fights, nerf their ability to do so" is a bit backwards imo
@@RobotSpartan I can understand that to a certain degree. But since dog fighting is pretty much the only option for ship to ship in pvp, a ship like the Blade, Glaive, etc is in a world of hurt as they have to be within 500m to even have a chance of hitting targets trying to evade.
@@zachrich7359 exactly this. Their future plans may well show theres sense to what they're doing, but i hold reservations on that. needing to be so close to have a chance really clips the glaives/blades wings
Does the Blade have internal storage, to hold things like weapons and armour? Looking for an alternative to the Gladius, as accessing its storage is bugged right now. Would go with the arrow, but I've already read that doesn't have internal storage, nor the hurricane.
Ah hang fire, I just re-read - do you mean the normal internal storage for ammo and stuff? If so, yes. Sorry when I saw the word weapons I thought you meant a rack It's small though, so I don't THINK it can hold a full set of armour or anything

Specially on ESPERIA Blade and Glaive who are reproduction made for humans.

@@Hinru13 i might use the BMM as part of a CCU chain if it goes warbond. Been curious about it as CIG reworked it too, so no doubt if i do, it'll see some use :)

In context (putting extra money in is your prerogative, but i wont advise you either way) what i'm saying is that I wont say whether or not i think its a good/bad idea to buy ships with IRL cash. In other words, i'll never tell someone to "buy this ship", but if you want to i'm not going to say anything about it
@@RobotSpartan I was only messing about dude I knew what you meant. Good review, blade is my favourite ship and am curious to see how drastically the game will change when physical damage is in. At the moment it's strange seeing benchmarks measured around a system that will not be around forever so its exciting to think how things will shift

I don't see it coming for at least a couple more years, which is the only reason i bother doing these sorts of videos focusing on the now. At least i'll have plenty of reference material when it does happen 🤣
Sods law, this video is now sorta outdated, as the blade got some much needed love. Was stupidly good in PTU (got nerfed from that), now its much closer to the gladius. Slightly behind still imo, but close enough to be considered

The current Evocati build for 3.17.2 includes a buff for the Blades cannon velocity, so hopefully the Blade becomes more useful soon!
